This is the ultimate market for all things healthy, natural and organic.The store is large with quality produce, dairy, spices, vitamins and supplements, pantry staples and prepared food.The store is clean and shelves are always being stocked. You can pretty much make it a one stop shop, but that would be a little pricey. That's to be expected with a store that keeps high quality products in stock. There are monthly sales, as well as fresh produce sales that offer good pricing on produce.The little cafe always features 2 different soup selections, and a wide variety of prepared sandwiches, small plates, and salads. Great to take out, or eat there as they do have a few tables.

The customer service at this location is terrible. In my experience, it's rare for an employee to ask if I need help finding something.This morning, there's an employee walking the floors coughing openly.The cashier's rarely greet me and yet, I'll watch them have full on conversation and laughter with other customers who look just like them *wink wink.This morning, I approached the register and after I greeted the cashier and emptied my shopping basket, I went to the end of the register to place my basket down.She told me to place my basket by the exit doors ("No, put it over there").I had a lot of items and my shopping bag was next to them.As I returned to the register, this cashier stood looking at me asking if I had a savings card and I said to her, (since she didn't offer or start to bag my items), "You can bag those".I figured, since she told me to do her job, I could tell her how to do her job.I really wish there was another health food store in this area so I could at least have an alternate option, perhaps with better service.This location offers a large variety of everything I just wish it was a more welcoming environment.

We enjoy shopping at Mother Earth’s each time we are in the Kingston, NY area while visiting the in laws . They have fresh produce and great vegan option hot foods. The staff is very pleasant. We also stock up supplements because they have a great selection. We highly suggest shopping here if you are in the area.

Expensive but they have an amazing variety of gluten free and vegan items that I haven't found at other stores. Drove 40 minutes to check this place out and now I'm hooked.

Although having one of the greatest selections for a natural food store, the prices are relatively outrageous compared to every other natural food store in the Hudson Valley. I stopped in today as I was in town but couldn't understand how high the prices were compared to other similar stores and passed on almost everything on my list. We're not talking 10%, more like 25-30% difference. I am a natural food store junkie so go to all of them where ever my travels take me. Their store in Poughkeepsie had much better prices before they sold it off.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is super friendly and helpful & there’s a cafe with hot and cold food - tons of veg options. All their stuff is homemade fresh that day. We come for the organic salt-free grind your own peanut butter (and almond butter!) and the wide selection of supplements / powdered herbs for smoothies. Oh and the dates are so yummy!!

We accidentially left two items unbaged worth $16 that we paid for. After realizing the mistake at home we called the store with the information from the receipt that included the cashier's name and the exact time of the transaction. We were told no items had been left and nothing could be done. We questioned whether they could have been bagged to the next customer. No dice. We are out $16 after being customers for many years. Terrible customer service!

Price gouging on baby formula at the Kingston location. Charging over 60% more than all other local and online retailers for a product specifically affected by a national shortage.I obviously expect a greater markup at a smaller store, but charging over $50 for a 21oz can of formula that costs $30 everywhere else is absolutely insane. The only reason I had to consider buying it here is because the ongoing formula shortage has it sold out everywhere else.Reconsider your pricing.

This is our go to destination for almost all of our grocery shopping. They have a fantastic selection of healthy food, whether it is their produce section (the guys take such pride in their work), the deli/juice bar (Calvin is truly caring in all that he does), or the bakery (one of a kind gluten-free desserts, ex. brownies). While there is always room for improvement (pricing and there have been some not so nice staff over the years), this is an incredible resource to feed your family truly the best quality, healthy food and we are blessed to have this health food store in our area.ADDITION: Rachel really outdid herself this time, what a wonderful cake. Thank you, Mother Earth's and Rachel 🎂

This is the most wonderful health food store anyone could hope for short of a Whole Foods. Their prices are extremely reasonable, they give a discount after you reach a certain dollar amount of purchases, and they also give a senior discount. The people staffing the floor know the merchandise and goods that they are selling very very thoroughly. As a matter of fact I trust the woman who runs the vitamin department more than many local doctors. Their produce is extremely clean and fresh, the staff is always friendly and polite, and even the customers are kind and respectful of each other. People who work there get to know you on sight,and will come right over to you before even being asked if you look like you're having trouble finding something or that you might have a question. This is by far my very favorite place to buy vitamins and groceries. Thank you so much for being there Mother Earth!

The store has a wide, quality selection of produce and dry goods, and the meats and dairy section are strong as well. I've found the staff generally to be extremely helpful and kind. The prices are a bit high, but lower than those at the other large health food store in the area and the quality of Mother Earth's produce is higher and it's handled by staff with more care. There's also an excellent cafe run by a excellent, caring chef when we're not in lockdown.

They have a great hot food and cold salad bar selection!!! The prices are reasonable and the stage in the cafe area are great! Carlos does a great job as the manager as it shows in how the staff takes care of the customers. The only thing I would recommend is a numbering system to make it flow a bit easier from both the customer and staff experience. I have had a few interesting experiences with other customers forcing there way to the front causing some issues. But again wonderful place run by wonderful folks!

As a vegan and mostly gluten free I really appreciate their cafe. Every ingredient used is listed for all their foods in the cafe. If it’s vegan and/or gluten free it will be clearly marked. And everything I’ve tried has been delicious! Fresh juices are very reasonably priced, as well as lattes.They also have a huge selection of bulk foods, and yummy produce. The bananas are the absolute best of any store around.I don’t buy all of my groceries here because some items are marked up twice what they would be at Walmart, but other foods are the cheapest around. I love finding a good deal.The only problem I’ve occasionally had is items ringing up at the wrong price, and slow checkouts sometimes.

Good food and very nice staff but prices are absolutely out of control and even worse in current economy. Every single item is more expensive than needed and higher for same products at other organic stores by $2 or more each and will add up quickly. Convenient location for grabbing a few things but really it’s going to break your bank to do a full shop.

I’ve been shopping here for years, it’s a bit of a drive for me, but so worth it.Fresh, clean, organic produce, non toxic cleaning products, essential oils, self care, vitamins and supplements...locally made products, vegan and gluten free options in abundance. Their quality and selection along with a friendly and helpful staff make it the best market in The Hudson Valley. So grateful to have them and for all that they do!

Ive been going to Mother Earth's for 20 years. It used to be that you couldn't walk through the well stocked vitamin dept with out being asked right away if you needed help. Twenty years ago they employed knowledgable, helpful people ready to share their knowledge but now you walk in and the employees avert their eyes.Perfect example, I walked up to the register today where a young woman and man were talking. They made me wait as they finished their conversation. The woman didnt even acknowledge me, just rang up my two items. Then as a second man got in line behind me the other cashier sat down on the floor to avoid being seen. I wish I was making this up.There is a healthfood store in New Paltz next to Hannford. Shop there. The people are nicer and the prices are always better.

I shopped there for the first time last week. Very good product selection BUT:- not sure why apples from Oregon were on the shelves. Is that good for Mother Earth ?- AC was set way too cold, probably low to mid 60s. Is this good for Mother Earth?- rotisserie oven was open and feeding hot air into the cooled air. Is this good for Mother Earth ?

I have been health and environmentally conscious for more than 40 years and purchasing my earth friendly items, prepared foods and supplement items at the Kingston store for about 20 years. I have watched them grow into a full service health food store. A few of the people have been there most of that time, which is nice to see familiar faces. I often buy bulk items, including Frontier herbs and find their selection to be the best around...and always very clean. Thank you to all of the crew for their customer friendly efforts.

FIRST it must be stated that the reason this is a 5 star review is because of the amazing talents of one worker Kaelan. If you look at the photos he made both our sandwiches, portobella burgers on cibatta and the other on cracked wheat. Kaelan also has been one of the longest working deli employees here at Mother Earth's store house. He was quick to check if we had been helped and when we were ready he was patient and insightful on what alterations we could have done to our dishes. The end result blew us away, it was 5 out 5 in presentation, taste, and quality. I hope the owners of the store know what talented employee they have and will do their best to not loose him.

New dining area is a great alternative to the salt lick chain restaurants nearby. I can bring my child the without feeling horrible about what she ends up dining on. 😇 Staff are very helpful and usually have a pleasant word to share. Produce is really top notch, bulk section is vast and kept spotless. Prices on items on the shelves can *sometimes* be 1/3 more expensive than elsewhere, but convenience and the produce keep me returning. Rewards program would be easier to use if it was internal, and did not rely on a log in, printer, or waiting on a postcard.

Some products are great except of their Tea selection. Bought cyelon and indian tea at 34$ a pound - no flavor, no smell, no taste, nothing in comparison to Ceylon tea my mom used to drink thirty years ago — the time of no GMO, chemicals and corrupted coalitions between the government and corporations at the cost of its citizens’s health.Otherwise, great store if you have some $$$!

As much as I have enjoyed shopping at Mother Earth for the past 25+ years, I only go there if there is no other source for certain merchandise. Their prices are nothing short of unconscionable, and not only for "health" products. When I buy food and other items for much less money at local supermarkets, there is no way I will shop at Mother Earth. Even employees agree that the owners are only interested in getting richer by charging such prices...and most of ME employees don't shop there because they cannot afford it.
