I stumbled upon this local pet store by looking for some raw goats milk for my pups.Upon entering, I was graciously greeted by a lovely pup and the shop owners. I was instantly (happily) overwhelmed with the amount of product this not-so-little shop provided. I was able to find the product I was looking for and of course much more for my spoiled dachshunds. I will continue shopping at this local shop and happily give them my business.Thank you for carrying such unique products and have very fair prices! I love Lucas Pet Supply, highly recommend!

We got a mini Goldendoodle & needed everything under the Sun.This store is Pet Heaven. The owner and his staff are 💯 knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable, the items high quality, the pet foods simply the best. But Sarah is the treasure. She is eager & knowledgeable part of staff. We go in & get ideas for training & toys, meals & leads. Sarah has helped us with everything we need to be pet owners .. and for both of us who have owned dogs for years, but never had a dog w/ a sensitive stomach, she has given us great advice. I live very local and it's so important to support our local shops. I love every thing about this pet store. They have high quality foods, treats and gear for my dog. They carry Canada pooch, ruffwear, Westpark, outward hound and even the puzzles by Nina. From supplies to supplement they have it. I have a 7 year old Weimaraner who is allergic to chicken and th chicken free choices they have are amazing. They are always so helpful. Also, they are very understanding of returns or exchanges. I had purchased a bunch of the Fromm Crunchy Os treats which are low calorie but, grabbed a few bags of grain free (which i do not do) and they happily let me exchange them with no problem. It's hard to find places that sell the high quality foods like fromm and I feel so lucky I have a place minutes from hope to shop and support. Their staff is so kind and more than helpful when you have questions. And what's eveb better their prices are LOWER than Amazon, chewy or very comparable. So it's a good feeling to be able to shop and support local and it be affordable. And a plus they let dogs inside (well mannered I assume). They even sell candles for the home for pet odors (they smell amazing) they too also support small businesses by carrying some other locally made items. I can't say enough about this place. Good Job. I may also say you can shop online and pick up in store.

Great store! A large selection for small local store. They are what local mom n pops should be...kind, knowledgeable, accommodating. Pretty much always have what I want right there. Box stores truly cannot compare. Will shop here as long as I have a pet. Been going there since the old lucas ave location.

They have a great selection of quality dog food and other pet supplies. I’d much prefer to shop here and support this quality local business than to have what always seems to be a frustrating experience at a large box store, just to (maybe) save a dollar or two on a big bag of kibble.I do have one suggestion: perhaps the staff could offer to carry the 30 lb bag of food to the register and to the customer’s car. I always received this service from Young’s in Catskill when I lived in that area, and I really appreciated it. The helpful and friendly attitude of the staff kept me coming back.I find it odd that the staff here will watch me struggle with the unwieldy bag and not say anything. It’s not like they are too busy doing other things. If they want to compete with the big chains, a little extra customer service might be very helpful.

I've been a customer for years. The family that owns the business is great, always helpful and knowledgeable. Also very important: they compete with big box stores like PetSmart and Petco. Their prices are always lower. I love buying local.
