Rude jerks every time I have been in. Unhelpful, insulting - ask a question and they will scoff and laugh amongst themselves for not knowing exactly what they like to call something. Pointless asking anyway since they rarely ever have what I need. You will be MUCH better off going to Home Depot, Lowes or Williams.

I went to the Garden Center on Saturday night right before close to get my 1st Christmas tree with my fiancé. I want to give a big thanks to Zane, who helped us pick out the tree, wrap it and get it in my car with no issues. He is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful, glad he is willing to go above and beyond with customers and happy he is there with the Herzog Team!

Very helpful folks. This isn't your ordinary hardware store. They have a great garden center and a gift shop with unique items. When you need a present for a special person (including yourself) give them a try.

9/13/23Purchased two large sliding glass doors from Atrium through herzog's. Look forward to getting back to a five-star review but for now we can't use our house as intended, and while the customer service at herzog's is still really good, we're not getting any movement from their vendor Atrium Who makes the doors.Original postYou want to see the difference of good old-fashioned customer service as compared to the box stores like Lowe's and Home depot? Visit Herzog's and give them a chance. The customer service is phenomenal and the staff is knowledgeable. This is going to seem hard to believe, but they actually answer their phones every single time you call them. Good luck getting that from Lowe's or Home depot.I wish I knew about i Herzoggs when we first started our renovation but you can be sure that we will be doing the second portion of our renovation through this Home Center.My experience was with Joe and the paint department and another Joe in the tool department, thank you Herzog's!

Great local business. My only stop for every home project, big or small. The staff is always willing to try and help me figure out what I need. I’ve been going since I was a kid. On top of that, they always support the community. Not many places have been around over 100 years. Their approach is why local businesses are so important to a community.

A little more expensive for materials than the big box stores, however the quality of materials is far superior.I find that Herzog's has rare and hard to find items that cannot even be special ordered from the major chain stores.The service was great, very knowledgeable and honest. As a contractor, I will continue to do more business with them in the future.

What can one say great about Herzog’s that has not been said numerous times?This is a truly unique place. They carry lines that are nowhere else nearby. They have an old-world feel in a modern setting. I enjoy seeing things that I never saw before. They have many departments such as housewares, wonderful gift type items. Tools and hardware of course, lumber and specialty items you’d expect to find only online. Their paint department has items and materials that I can only find there or online. Their prices compare with online so I buy in store. I use a premium brand of floor varnish that is not premium priced. I love the stuff. It is very easy to use with good results. It’s definitely a pro product. Herzog’s is a venerable old family business in which I have shopped for decades. Go there before Xmas even if you need nothing. You’ll have a great time and you’ll find something for the person “who has everything” except the thing you bought for them!

Selection is good enough, but not for the lamp I needed to rewire. I would have considered having them special order something if anyone had bothered to ask if I needed help while I stared at the display for 15 minutes. That’s on par for every Herzog’s experience I’ve had. It’s nice to be the only game in town, I suppose, but seriously, if I wanted to be ignored by people that don’t know what they’re talking about, I’d go to Home Depot.

I love this store. It has a wide ranging inventory. Whether I need to paint my walls, clean a new apartment, feed the local bird population or clear a yard full of debris to discover a stone patio which leads to creating a garden, I go to this amazing place. The staff is super friendly and seem happy to work there.Not to forget the Christmas items. Last year I bought all my gifts at Herzogs. They make me part of the community.I'm back in 2023Recently I had occasion to visit the hardware department.About 11 Years ago I bought a solid pine table with detachable legs at a student yardsale. They asked for $5 but I had to insist to pay them at least $10A few years later in the process of moving I lost an intrical part to attach the legs.Fast forward to this past week...I spoke to one of the gentleman in hardware and showed them replicas of the missing pieces.That man took his time and after patiently searching the 5 million drawers in the parts department came up with 3 possible items to take home.I paid $2.35. The table is fixed and I have a part left over.What is not to love?J.Lute

Wonderful Hardware store the best out here the thing I really like is that they are welcoming they don’t greet you at door - there not phoneythey just have this lovely vibe. They know what they are doing the way hardware stores used to be even buying a small screw they know exactly where it is and find the size u need immediately. It’s a pleasure to shop there. !!!

I renovated two houses with much of materials purchased here and never had a problem. They a great selection of hardware, plumbing, lumber and an excellent paint dept. Over the years I have purchased a number of lawnmowers a chainsaw and blades and parts for both. Because of my age and lack of time I didn't want to fool with getting two push mowers running. Stopped in asked if they could service mowers and the answer I received was "unfortunately" from a supervisory person. I should have accepted that as a warning but brought them in anyway. After dealing with repair "dept" for a month I suggest they sell and not service the small engine products.

I really love the “design center” idea and samples etc of flooring and cabinets. I want to love this place - but after spending 8k on special order structural steel, to be ignored when asking about how to create a materials list for the Trex decking to complete the deck really made me unhappy. Not sure if they just didn’t take me seriously as a female shopper at the all males club back counter ? Not sure. So much for getting the rest of my materials from Herzogs.

Really like the store but not happy with the misleading website. Please don't put specials on your website if they are not offered in your store. Sent a friend in to pick up mulch 5 bags for $15 advertised on their website, people in the store said it's a true value store special not ours but it says True value on the front of your building and was offer on your website. Upsetting they wouldn't honor it especially since I asked a friend for a favor.

Very professional, pleasant, responsive and knowledgeable staff. I had my kitchen designed by Ewhan who was the nicest most responsive and helpful representative. I got professional printouts of what the kitchen would look like. Ewhan made wonderful suggestions about the layout which resulted in a beautiful kitchen for which I'm getting many, many compliments. The selections of everything from the cabinets to the hardware was superb and the cost was very competitive with the other stores that had limited selections. Thank you Herzogs!

You get better attention than at big box stores. The selection of stuff in stock you may need for a typical DIY home project is probably better here too. Maybe it just seems that way because somebody is willing to show the stuff to you.
