I do not recommend this CVS for pdescription refills or even new prescriptions.Just this past Saturday my mom Went into CVS to pick up a prescription when She got an email notification that a prescription was ready for pickup. When it was her turn she went up to the cashier whose name is Jane. And the woman told her that it would be another half hour before the prescription was done. When my mother said pull your app told me that the prescription was ready for pick up but OK I'll go sit and wait when everybody else gives this woman a hard time my mother generally just tells the people to be patient they're under staff they're working as hard as they can. Well this woman after my mother went and patiently sat down to wait. Jane then called her up to get her prescription and said I don't know why you were sitting down and waiting. To which my mother politely said I was sitting and waiting because you said it was gonna be a half hour and the woman started arguing with my mother and yelling at my mother. That is not how you treat customers. Jane does not belong working at cvs. Furthermore I've read a lot of the other reviews from like 4 months ago where somebody said the skinny one with the glasses that's a man no she's a woman her name is Jane. She is just as disrespectful in this establishment as she was in the last one that she worked for. I highly do not recommend getting your prescriptions from cvs.Like any respectable daughter my mother no longer wanted to walk into this store to go deal with such a rude human being. So I had to pick up her prescriptions today. And yes I recognized the woman behind the counter and I basically said Jean my mom wasn't here Saturday and somebody yelled at her. She have the audacity to admit to me that she yelled at my mother to which I did reply with you don't yell at my mom and you don't yell at anybody as a customer you don't yell at customers that's how you lose customers. What these associates in these stores need to realize is that we as the customer are the reason they still have a job without us buying our prescriptions from their location that location goes out of business if they lose too much business. Hey Jane if you really don't like your job keep yelling at your customers because I guarantee your customers are gonna go away if you keep treating them like you do. You cannot treat customers like garbage. It is rude disrespectful and think about it would you want somebody speaking to your mom the way you spoke to my mother. The way my mother was treated was absolutely disrespectful and wrong.For those of you that took the time to read my review I apologize for the non punctuation but I'm doing this while I'm in my car.As always I thank you for reading my review. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. Pharmacy is barely open, never answers phone, always a wait. Called during business hours, on hold for 1 hour, went to store and all employees there, just couldn't are less about phone calls. Only open for 5 hours on a Saturday, couldn't make it due to work, not open Sundays. Go elsewhere if you actually need something.

Not sure what has happened the last few months, but I need to keep calling in another time after refills are already put in even waiting a week from initial request. Also very hard to get anyone on the phone. You'll be waiting over 20 minutes before giving up. Also sometimes RX refill requests just cancel out after waiting over a week and being without medication. Not sure what is happening with this location.

I went to CVS today. They were crazy busy as usual. A big line, people waiting impatiently. The staff was working extra hard to take care of everyone as quickly as possible. They were always pleasant and polite and kind while they were dealing with everyone. Mostly I was happy to see Jeremy the pharmacist working in the back. I remember him in Woodstock when my boys were small. He was always so helpful! Today, as busy as they were, he would come up to the front and explain medication and give information. Then he would go back to what he was working on. He offered help without having to ask. He offered support to people working around him, helping them when needed. He goes out of his way for everyone. I have never encountered a pharmacist like him anywhere. Ever. I didn’t get to tell him but I was so happy to see him. I’m not sure if he is staying at this store, but I hope so

Criminally understaffed. Pharmacy never has enough people, takes (no joke) 30 mins before they answer the phone. Lines at peak are 10+ deep, drive thru round the block, 1-2 people trying to service it all. Staff seem exhausted and rushed. Check your scripts as it is the kind of under-staffing that leads to dangerous mistakes. If I had any choice I’d go elsewhere but my employer-provided insurance means I have no option but to put up with the abysmal quality of service. The pharmacists are wonderful and doing their best but CVS corporate clearly do not care about the health of their employees or customers.

This pharmacy is absolutely terrible. For starters , they changed the hours and days the pharmacy is open and closed without notifying anyone. Yesterday I went to get my meds and they were closed . Today (Sunday) came and they are now closed every Sunday . I have been trying to get my meds for days! They refuse to answer the phones and when I go in person and wait in the hour + long line , they say to your face that they have stopped answering the phones days ago because they were told by management to solely focus on filling scripts. They do not start refilling your meds until you go IN PERSON and wait on the line for almost 2 hours and then tell them what is needed for refill. WAIT ANOTHER 30 minutes for the meds to be refilled and then can leave. Meanwhile they are saying the meds you are on and having hipaa conversations with a line of 20 people behind you. EMBARASSING AND UNPROFESSIONAL. How this is allowed is beyond me. They are lying on the apps and saying medications are filled when they are NOT. I’m sick and tired of this pharmacy . How this stuff is allowed is nonsense : I hope people don’t get killed who need important heart and seizure and mental health meds and cannot access or obtain their meds. It’s very scary and their new hours are not accommodating for anyone who works. So don’t bank on getting any of your meds anytime soon unless you know someone who can pick them up and then wait over an hour for you . Corporate should be in here and witnessing this nonsense for themselves !!!

Currently been waiting for 35 minutes still on hold while typing this and everytime I go in there is a line wrapped around the shelves this is truly a horrible pharmacy when it comes to service I would strongly suggest not going to a CVS they have the same problems on Washington Ave.

CVS the Company has decided that no Staffing is Safe Staffing for Ulster Ave location. This location runs up to a week behind filling scripts. As I learned today, sometimes they don't even show up to work; imagine if a Hospital did that. I would be shocked if this location doesn't already have dozens of open lawsuits for medical negligence, I can only imagine how many people get hospitalized because they don't get access to their medications (which by the way could happen to my wife now that she doesn't have any of her Meds because CVS decided to put it in the F IT BUCKET and not even show up to work today). The way this location is run is flat out disgusting. Unfortunately my rating is too generous, there's no option for 0 or negative stars.

Even if you request a refill (app or phone), then call to let the system know you're "on your way" the prescription isn't ready for hours if at all the same day. It's as if they don't start working on it until you are physically there and have stood on line for over a half hour to try and pick it up.

They don’t answer the phone two days in a row I attempted to call from 6pm-7pm on my way home from work. You’d think an hour long wait a phone could be answered. They have a prescription of mine that was sent there that hasn’t been filled in over 6 days. The app gives no information besides in process.

What’s the point of the app if my refills aren’t ever going through? This location and Washington Ave never have the scripts ready and it’s always a run around. I’m constantly on the phone for close to an hour before giving up. Stafffing shortages are every where but this is unacceptable.

8/17/23Myself and dozens of other customers waited in the drive thru this evening to have the store close before we made it to the window.One hour and 25 minutes I waited!They closed the in doors pharmacy again today and made everyone wait in the drive thru????I was getting a little afraid when some men started exiting their cars to go see what was going on (guns?) You make people wait that long for NEEDED medications and your store is really going to create a riot or something bad. My prediction.You cannot make people wait for a hour and a half for medicine AND THEN CLOSE THE WINDOW?!?!?!I am changing pharmacies.Done with this lunacy

I don’t have an issue with CVS itself, my experience with the pharmacy lately has been a nightmare. We are aware there are staffing shortages everywhere, but when a seizure medication is on automatic refill and it’s 2 days past the date it should have been ready it’s really not acceptable.

there is no consistency here. sometimes they're open sometimes They are not. you never know. prescription refills take forever, and are in process for days and days. if not weeks. I realized things are tough getting help, but they really need to find some consistency.

Horrible. Online the pharmacy is always processing prescriptions, and I’ve been waiting an hour to talk to someone on the phone to no avail. Of course they pick up the prescriber line but will refuse to help anyways because there “isn’t enough people” to phone the regular pharmacy line? Wow you guys suck

This pharmacy is basically a train wreck. Long wait times to find out my prescriptions sent in by my doctor, 2 hours before hand is going to take another 15 mins to fill. Maybe if they weren't closed 3 hours for lunch then they would have been ready for the many people waiting in line.

Dr sent my rx to them at 9 a.m., went there on my lunch break, they have no record of my rx. After confirming w my Dr multiple times that it was sent there, they finally see it in the computer, and tell me to come back after work. I've now been sitting in the drive thru for over an hour and will.most likely be here all night just for there to be another issue once I get to the window. There is something seriously wrong w this place.

Horrible customer service they never answer the phone. I would not recommend using them as your pharmacy. Can’t even get in touch with them to speak with them about a prescription, they won’t even answer the phone in the front of the store . Ridiculous

I'm currently going on 47 minutes on hold waiting to speak to a pharmacist. This happens EVERY time I need to speak to a pharmacist there. Is there noone working on the phones there? Seems insane to not be able to get a hold of them. Also I have to work very hard to get my prescription. Every month there is an issue. Im to the point I'm going to drive to the next town over to a different pharmacist. As I'm writing this review the hold time has now reached almost an hour.

Shop Rite Pharmacy sold my prescription info to CVS without my permission. I needed one filled and after a week of calling (wait times horrendous), I found out it hadn't been filled yet. One of the pharmacists lied to me telling me that the delay was the fault of the manufacturer having production problems. I called the manufacturer and they were NOT having those problems. I cancelled the prescription and am moving to a local pharmacy where you don't have to wait to speak to someone. I can't trust a pharmacy that lies to me about my essential prescriptions.

Awful customer service. Person behind the counter, a man with glasses, took another customer before me and when he finally came to me he appeared to have severe depression. I asked him to scan my cvs card and he wouldn’t do it until he scanned the prescription. I believe there were a coupon on the card which didn’t come off. Won’t be back

I seem to have a reoccurring issue getting my medication that I get every month. My sister went to pick up my 2 scripts only 1 was available. She asked if there was maybe anything put back or anything in the system to be filled and was told no. BUT THEY DID PUT A SCRIPT BACK IN MY NAME THAT WEEK that I didn't pick up on purpose and there WAS a seperate script waiting to be filled. The script was supposed to be filled on Wednesday and wasn't filled until Saturday. THIS IS COMMON AND VERY FRUSTRATING. I have also been shorted pills so I now count every single filled script in the parking lot. EVERY MONTH I need this medication ON TIME for my Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome or else I lapse into an episode that can leave me bedridden for a week at a time. They often push back my refills because they don't have it on hand. You'd think after 15 months it'd be regularly ordered. I've had to travel to other CVS' over an hour away in order to get my medication ON TIME. I WILL NEVER USE CVS AGAIN NOR WILL I REFER ANYONE. Asking my doctor this week to change everything to Walgreens.Editing to add that after 13 months of being on the same 2 medications I all of a sudden had to fight for one of them to be filled and had to contact my doctor because the pharmacy felt I shouldn't be taking both medicines at the same time...13 months after having both. THANKFULLY I do my own research and was already aware. Thanks for waiting over a year to try and save me

The pharmacy staff, including the pharmacist, can be very unprofessional in their behaviors. Additionally, when they have clearly made a mistake, they do not apologize for their error or their attitudes. It is apparent that all businesses in this are having great difficulty finding people to work for them to the point where any breathing body will do.

Total bait switch company. I googled a product I needed to buy. This company's web site stated they had it for $6.99 in-stock at this location. Price was competitive to other local retailers. I drive to the location to only find out the price is $ 11.49 on the shelf. I ask an employee to help me with the price difference they tell me they cant, “it is what it is” they say “all retailers do this” they state. They don't know why its a different price in the store “ I don't control the site they tell us how much to sell it for”. I know why bc thats a SCAM to draw people to your location and then charge a higher rate then what was stated. I believe this is actually illegal. So having drove there and short on time I paid for it and left. Last item ill ever buy from them.

Awful! I have never had to fight so hard to get my children's prescription's filled. The pharmacist refuse to fill a script because the doctor increased the dose before the old script ran out. Terrible customer service. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I have yet to meet one helpful person in this store. I only wish i could give zero stars.

Just for kicks, I put down my phone on speaker while on hold just to see if they would ever answer. About 95 minutes later, I just hung up.
