If you like a place that has the strong aroma of a cheese shop then this is the place for you. There is limited outside sitting and limited parking right on a major road. When I was there it had a snobby feel with many families with children that appeared overindulged and we’re often unattended.They have a good variety of beers on tap but for me, hard to enjoy with the overwhelming smell of cheese and the general vibe. Prices consistent with my above impression. Definitely not for the lactose intolerant.

Fantastic, I can not speak highly enough about this place. The beer is incredible, space is inviting and the staff friendly. And grilled blew cheese sandwiches? Sold.

Fantastic beer. They had a Cantillon Sang Bleu on tap (pictured) and a fantastic variety of lambic available in bottle. As a Belgian beer fan, this was absolutely wonderful. The food was also delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. If this place was in my neck of the woods, I would be a regular customer. As it is, I hope I can return again someday.

A great stop after walking a section of the Empire State Rail Trail. Such a welcoming “inn” feel. The staff was super friendly. And there was a very large selection of beers from all over. This was our first visit and we can’t wait to go back. Parking isn’t an issue. There’s a lot right up the street if you can’t find street parking in the quaint town of Kinderhook.

This is a great gem of a place to stop and have lunch, a mid-afternoon snack, or dinner. This gastropub is the pure definition of local. They source high quality ingredients from surrounding farms from their meat to the cheese and even the bread. The staff is extremely friendly and are happy to talk about where the food is from, their philosophy about beer, or to just chat about the local town. They even gave me a great recommendations for other restaurants in the area. The sandwiches here are fantastic. There were four of us and we just got a few sandwiches and split them. In the warmer weather you can eat outside as well and even bring your dog. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Love this place. We just moved to Columbia County from Brooklyn (yes, we are Covid-19 gentrifiers) and fell in love with this place right away. They have a fantastic beer selection, fabulous food, and offer $4 off any 4 pack to go! They also have a great outdoor seating area with heaters. A great place to grab a drink with a friend or grab some quality beers to go.

Really enjoyed this place after spending some time at the orchard nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful when we asked about their draft selection. Would recommend getting the a flight to try out the different beers on tap. The grilled cheeses were satisfying!

If you like cheese, cured meats or beer, this is worth the stop. They have about a dozen different grilled cheese sandwiches. I had a kimchi sandwich, my wife had a spicy one. The bread was perfect. They were delicious.We also had a salami board. And a good sour beer. They have a nice selection of beer on tap and an option for beer flights. They also had plenty of others in bottles.

Great beers. We brought a 1 year old and sat in the side room, Saisonnier has a little corner with toys, wooden blocks, books, crayons and paper - kept the little guy busy! Very thoughtful.

Beer list is extensive and the tap selection is amazing. Food is great too using a variety of local cheese, bread and produce. Best lunch in Kinderhook!

This bar/snack restaurant was very sweet. One of the few open places in the town of Kinderhook when we passed through. They had a good beer menu, and we ordered a flight, I really couldn't decide what to get. That was the right call. All the beers were good. We also ordered the charcuterie. I hate to say it but we were disappointed. They could add some jam or honey, the meats were almost identical and just uninspired salami, and the cheese was Bree, and another one that was almost the same. We sat outside and the weather was nice. I would go back and try a different menu option.

A real gem of a place. The beer list - draught, can, and bottle - is great. They have a nice wine list as well. The food is superb. Very homey and the playlist is fun. Bartenders welcoming and knowledgeable. Worth a visit!

We had an outstanding little unique dinner. Highly recommend the experience. Staff was very friendly. Choices were fun. Prices were to be expected. Bathrooms were clean. Easy access. You pay at the end. Bring your check up to the register. There is no real weight stuff. You order at the register as well. Enjoy. There's some knick knacks inside to purchase. You can also purchase some of the cheeses that they serve you. Fun was had.

Fantastic food. Order at the bar/ self serve. A modern yet relaxed, rustic, country feel. I enjoyed everything I ordered, which included the Vermont cheese board, kim chi grilled cheese, and some cheese curds. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and overall just does an awesome job. This was definitely in the top 3 fanciest grilled cheeses I've ever been served.

My friends and I stumbled across this place during a recent trip to the Hudson Valley. The cheese selection is beyond amazing, and everything is prepared to order. My friends enjoyed the draft beer selection while I opted for a glass of wine. We will definitely be back!
