To those saying there is no one at registers that is NOT true. I can assure you if you be patient and wait a minute or 2 someone WILL be there. Cashiers have other tasks to do and do not just stand at registers . Patience is a virtue

Horrendous prices, horrible service. How is there not one person working at the cash registers? The only person is on their cell phone at the self checkout. Doors are locked 15 minutes before close so god for bid if you have an emergency and have to grab Benadryl last minute. Horrible, go elsewhere.

Clean ,handicapped acessable, very nice staff , one staff member went out of his way as he was stocking shelfs to get me a price ,I enjoyed my visit because of his help .

I have recently moved away but sometimes come back to visit my girlfriend and family. Every time I come to this location out of convenience because I don't want to drive an extra 5 minutes up the road and I always want to slap myself for my laziness. I am reminded of all the negative aspects that a hometown has with not an ounce of the charm or nostalgia one may have to where they grew up. The meat is insulting to the animal that gave it’s life for the customer. Never an employee to check you out at a register and you must use the most archaic self checkout known to man. Then on top of all this they don’t give you the decency to give you an employee discount for checking all of your Whole Foods priced food as the employee at the self checkout occasionally looks up from her phone at the unpaid employees ringing out their purchases up. This has to be the single worst grocery store I have ever stepped foot in. I truly believe convenience is the only thing keeping this place afloat as the employees lock the door well in advance to close, sound bothered to grab a paper back that you have to bag yourself because everyone is congregating at the closed registers teasing the customers that just want to get out quickly. Complacency is when you loose and complacency is the mantra of this store.

I wish someone would train the Soup and prepared food department. I used to enjoy the soups at least once or twice a week when I would take my lunch from work. There are generally three scenarios I have come accustomed to expect when I go there maybe once a month. 1. No soup or the soup has been resold for several days and is now a different color that makes it a guessing game as to what you are looking at. 2. you have fresh soup chicken noodle for example where its really just chicken broth with noodles. 3. You manage to have a flavorful "Chicken" Noodle Soup that seems reasonably fresh except the chicken that is in it are almost full cuts of chicken, like someone just tore the breast out of a chicken and put it in the soup without cutting it up. I've mentioned to the "Manager" working in that area (someone who has a clipboard and a tie) and the usual response is "We have new people". This has been going on for over a year now and nothing changes. I create standard work instruction for my job. I make them so easy to understand that you could take anyone off of the street and put them in any position and they would be able to perform the tach safely, accurately and be able to maintain productivity. Please Fix this issue...maybe get some quality standards for each area and post them. I don't blame the folks working (younger overwhelmed employee ) This is a management issue or lack thereof. Enjoy your day.

The staff is diverse, helpful, readily available, and accessible. The building is old, a bit dirty, and needs to be renovated. The pharmacist is knowledgeable and informative. Bakery items are always fresh, especially the bagels, but the deli department is lacking a bit in customer service. Carts are well taken care of, and it seems like overall they are doing the best they can within their means.

The Johnstown Price Chopper is a well stocked well maintained store. They always have the sale items in stock, rarely do you need to get a raincheck. They have the most wonderful floral department, bakery, produce, and deli. They even have a small dining area where you can order food that they prepare there. There's a large selection of Mico Brew beer sold in single bottles as to make up your own six pack. Highly recommended!

Great store. Love their specials. I would like to suggest they should have an app that people can down load that would not only provide weekly sales information but have a product locator. Too many times I cannot find what I am looking for so I do not buy. With a product locator it would take me to the row and shelf. I think.many times people go to small convenient stores because it is easier and quicker to get what they need. You could drive more traffic through the store.

My husband purchased donuts today I tried a bit and they were terrible. I can tell the oil for frying was old. Only taste was old greasy oil taste. Worst donut ever.

Terrible place to shop. Not only are the prices the highest around the customer service is horrible. If you have a problem and call customer service they say they will tell the manager but don't. We had one kid pose as a manager and never told the real one. Another time called to tell them one of their carts was on our street. I did this to help them out. A woman said they'd send someone to get it. 3 days later it was still there. This time I asked for a manager, he told me no one had told him about my first call. Headquarters is just as bad, if you have a complaint about your local store you have to email or call them repeatedly before they do anything. Price Chopper used to be a great store. Not any more...

Poor meat selection. No ribsteaks. Empty shelves. Lots of items we usually buy not available. Check out took 23 minutes, due to trainee checker and only 1 lane open. This store is going down hill fapidly. Used to be the best place around Johnstown, not the same.

This store, in my opinion was never properly updated. The last renovation seemed like a token effort. The best part of this store is the people working there. Need more effort to keep stock on the shelf. It's like there is little oversight to the big picture.

Love this particular Price Chopper. It is so inviting at the entrance..but don't care for the entrance being so far from the exit.I think that is a hindrance. However the store is always stocked, clean, and employees friendly n helpful. And I can find most everything I went to purchase. Wait lines r minimal

Usually like shopping here. But I'm sticking to Amsterdam's market 32. Here no variety snack pk (all sold out) no Gatorade (all sold out) No blueberries just to name a few. I understand the economy isn't that great at the moment but come on every week 😒

This price chopper is on the up and up! They have a great selection of healthy food, kombucha, whole30 items, and other clean eating essentials that can be hard to find. I love how big it is, too! They are well on their way to Market32 status, it seems. Very impressed.

I am disabled and have been using their new shopping app. It is amazing and always spot on. The people who bring the stuff to the car are friendly and polite. It has been a great experience and I am so greatful for the service!

I do pretty much all of my grocery shopping here at Johnstown Price Chopper every week. Always stocked on what I need for the most part. Staff does a good job stocking and keeping the place clean. I love the random deals on items along with the fuel advantage savings. Employees are very polite for the most part. Would love to see them make the conversion to a Market 32 and remodel the place. Inside and out the place seems very out of date.

I’ve always loved Price Chopper, but it’s time for this place to get updated and become a Market 32. The prices simply don’t match the prices of their competitors as well; you will spend more here than anywhere else. That being said, their buy one get one free sales are great; so are their fake discounts as well.
