I was in the market for a certain Stihl chainsaw. This saw, MS 194 T, was not a stock item. Store Stihl Technician Gav, used his laptop to show all the options available. Gavs knowledge of the product, the services that the store offered, and the suggestion of purchasing oil to extend the manufactures warranty made the sale. Highly recommend Johnstown NY’s Noble Ace Hardware.

I've been going to this place 30+ years long before it was a True Value. Nowadays, it is an Ace and this is the closest hardware store to the cabin in Caroga Lake. I worked in a True Value and Ace Store for 20+ years so I am always overly critical of the sales associates working and their hardware knowledge.I love this store because it is set as a more rural store and sells many things that you would never find in a hudson valley Ace such as boats, tow and trailer and extended pump and plumbing section.This place has always exceeded the good help standard. I was shocked when a young kid in paint asked if I needed help. I asked for a 3/4 male adapter sweat. Without skipping a beat he says right this way sir. He asked if I needed flux or tape. Bravo! Where I am from kids that age barely realize how the water even works. I have been helped by a few kids in this store that absolutely understood the basics of a jet pump and helped me figure out my issue. Little jealous because I know how hard it is to find good help haha. Thank you for always being there when my pressure switch goes out on West Stoner Lake. Check them out.

Very helpful employees!! Store is relatively easy to navigate.I haven't been to the store in quit some time and forgot the layout.I needed a key made and was wondering aimlessly around the store, I came across an employee that was stocking a shelf, I asked him where I would go to get that done and he stopped what he was doing and went straight away to make me a key. That's great customer service!

The remodel on this place blew my mind when I walked in. Prices are very reasonable. They also have a variety of things. Also, getting my propane tank refilled costed less than it would elsewhere.

Great store with excellent and knowledgeable employees. I was looking for Traeger Seasoning and came across a young man on a ladder helping another customer. I unfortunately did not catch his name but, he took the time to show me where they were on the other side of the store. My family in NY has been going here for decades!

Helpful, KNOWLEDGEABLE about what the customer wants done, and help make decisions that not only save time, but money! I bought a large piece of outdoor machinery, it was delivered, AND I got in-service training in my driveway! Not drop and go like some places, but actual instruction! Wow!

Store is good. Helpful staff. One thing is now stops me from choosing any Ace Hardware: return policy. If you have no receipt or their reward card you can't even get a store credit. Few items I wanted to return were in their original packaging with Ace logo on it, and yet their answer was no. They were polite and apologetic about it, but you can't put apologies in your pocket. It makes no sense. They save a few dollars, yet lost me as their customer.

Walked in the store, store was really clean. Was welcomed after a few brief moments of being side the store. The representative helped me find exactly what I needed to replace my sink in my camper. Had it installed within an hour being at camp.

New to this area and to living in the country. I needed everything, when the manager recommended a weed wacker cheaper than the one I was considering, I was impressed. He helped me and explained each and every purchase. Forget that orange store, Ace is the place to go! and their prices are very competitive.

I went in today to get some bolts that i was missing to put together a crib. I walked up to a young man he looked like he was about 18 or 19 @1:30-1:45pm and asked for help(unfortunately forgot to read his name tag) he was INCREDIBLY HELPFUL! It being the 4th of July and all he still was eager to be at work and to help me out...i really appreciate it Noble Ace for hiring such friendly/knowledgeable associates!

I called and bought a snowblower. Dillon was great on the phone- he knew his business and had all the answers. The snowblower was in my yard within an hour- several miles away. Dillon unloaded it and reviewed the machine with me. A well-mannered and friendly fellow. We hadn't been able to find this particular machine any place else but Ace had it. I walked into the store and was greeted right away. While walking around the store one of the attendants took time to look onto the website to try to find a solution to suit a problem I was trying to figure out the best way to handle. I needed some sort of a cart or wagon to move things from my car into a show I was doing.
