This is an amazing vet and I have been taking my dog there ever since she was a puppy until she recently had to be put to sleep. If it wasn’t for Sr Dr. Holowinski, she would never have lived as long as she did. Thank you for everything you did for my family. If you are looking for a vet definitely consider this one.

Rude check out staff , No hellos or thanks also hang ups , act put out .went for visit today and a check out staff employee was on break Blaring her music window down booming bass with all the dogs waiting in stress already probably really loved it. Mine did not. .no calls back from manager after On different days for same reasons and several calls from me went completely ignored.. I did nothing to this place except give them money in last year treated like lower then them. In over a year new pup spending a lot thinking I was choosing high quality vet was a Lie... It's the check out staff that ruin the quality... Thanks to no call from manager I can assume she's ok with this behavior she hires them all.. and no respect to call me Other clients told me since 2019 it's gone down hill staff especially ..if I could I would give zero also female checked me out got attitude with me my and bf wanted to split up check which I told vet tech who helped us it was ridiculous as we're trying tp pay told to take my tiny badsrt out while trying to pay they are just stuck up and ridiculous, impatient and a click obviously at least for me.. three calls no manager resolve ... Sad

I’ve been taking my golden retrievers to JC vet for a year and a half now, and starting to look for a new vet. One of my dogs has a hot spot on his face and he’s been digging at his ears. Got him an appointment. Then I noticed my other dog was also digging quite a bit at her ears. Called back to see if there would be room to bring both in at the same time since it’s for the same issues. I live 30 mins away from the vet, so to bring them in together would save me time and gas. I was immediately told no, there was no space available. Ok, understandable, when would they have time to see my other dog then. “We have a cancellation today at 4” ok, I’ll be there. Then I was charged $95 for an “urgent care visit” it was not urgent, I took an open appointment bc you had a cancellation…. Next day I bring my other dog in. Place was pretty empty considering the receptionist was so quick to answer there was no way they could see both my dogs at the same time. Both my dogs had ear infections and received ear drops. First vet I saw said 8 drops per ear for 14 days. Second vet I saw said 6-8 drops for 10 days. It’s the exact same medication. So how long do I do the drops?? First vet was very thorough, applied a topical to my dogs hot spot, cleaned her ears, and even did the ear drops for me that day. Second vet didn’t even clean up the hot spot on my dogs face that had matted fur stuck around it. I cleaned it the best I could, but it needs better. After him telling me it really helps to keep the area clean, he leaves it a mess.

Awesome love them ..our old retired and we wanted someone like her.. we found it here.. they are truly about the animals not the money.. unfortunately that was not the case with the other vet we saw before these guys

I have been following and understand the covid-19 policy and I am extremely disappointed we are not able to go into the building with our pets, as it is stressful enough they are out of there environment and now with strangers, getting shots, blood work ect. I am also not able to ask any questions, if any should come up or if something should be wrong.Because of this policy I have been putting off appointments for awhile hoping things would change, but since nothing has change and no one can tell when we are allowed in the building again I made a appointment for my dog.We waited over an hour in the car after our appointment time, which did not go well since she doesn't ride well... For the 1st time, in I can't tell in how many years, I came back home and she has a reaction of some kind. Her face was blown up like a balloon and her eyes could bearly open.I am not happy that of course, this happens to also be the 1st time we were not able to go in with her. This was a check up... I was told everything went well she had a healthy check up. But, clearly something went wrong and she didn't come home fine!!

Our family has been taking our pets here for over twenty years. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our beloved cat whom was just shy of turning 17 within a few weeks. Dr. Steve has always been amazing and again he should his care to us and June along with the staff as they always have.

Dr Gonzalez and the Sr. Dr Holowinski have given our fur baby amazing care with all her unique health issues. And the staff is wonderful too. They all run to greet our pup and give her cuddles and scratchins. Great atmosphere and very clean facilities.

I was not happy with Dr. Josh and his bedside manner. He was cold and argumentative when it came to the shots I wanted my cat to have. He did not ask any questions about my girl. His aide was very rough with Robbie. Going to the vet should be made a good experience so the pet and owner will enjoy going back. I was asked to give a review. I am hoping to see a more pleasant veterinarian next time.Edit: I have since seen a very nice veterinarian, Dr. Holowinski. He was very pleasant and seemed to care about my cat, and was very gentle. Pleasant to talk to.

Extremely kind and caring staff. We adopted an 11 year old doll w quite a few issues. I don’t care. She’s home. She needs some surgery to get a mass removed. I’ll keep you posted but 5 stars so far.

This vet needs to be taken over by the right staff or close for good. You can not expect someone to go with their sick or dying fur baby to a place that can NOT be trusted. Sad very sad. They need to be reported and taken out. ZERO tolerance for being a horrible human being.

6 years ago we called around to get prices of spaying and this place was the most affordable. Ratings were good and for the past 6 yrs I have been very pleased with their knowledge, understanding, compassion and willing to work with you. They are up front with costs and don’t try to sell you on things you don’t need. The friendly reminder via email is great. I always know when I need more flea/tick medication or an appointment. My pups are always in good hands. Thank you!

Front desk is beyond rude. Honestly the worst I’ve ever experienced. Every time I go in they are awful. I wish the doctors cared more about the patient experience because it is seriously lacking here. Front desk could really use a lesson in basic human decency. 0/10. There are way better practices in the area with comparable prices and educational backgrounds (Cornell). We won’t be back.

My pet had been diagnosed with Addison disease many years ago. When I brought him here they were fully away of his illness. He had been a patient there for a little over a year. He was required to be there every 25 days to stay alive. There is a person there who is older and extremely rude and has been the entire time I had been bring my pets there. I had just found out she is the office manager. Maybe should have found that out earlier since that was a red flag. They close at 6 pm every weekday which is perfectly fine. However my pet suddenly took a turn for the worst and I called a half hour before closing. After describing the details (Which from having pets I knew it was life threatening) I was told I could not get there in time before they closed. Mind you I am 10 minutes away. They gave me the options to drive to Clark summit or Cornell which was out of the question for personal reasons. Because of this I watched my pet seize multiple times, howl for for 7+ hours and watched him finally pass for over 12 hours. All because they couldn’t make the time to let him pass peacefully. I give this veterinarian ZERO STARS. Find another place to go. You pay for your pets to have the utmost care and understanding that our pets are our family members. I now know too late that they do not care and there is now nothing I can do for him because he has passed. I hope this helps current clients and prevents future clients from coming here that have health issues. This is not the place for them!

If I could give this place 0 stars than I would have. Called them to see if I could bring my sick dog in and they were very rude, unprofessional, and had no compassion. They told me emergency care was only " for their clients." But even before that, I asked her if they were busy that day and she said no. Didn't even ask what was the problem or recommend another vet, these people really don't care about animals!!

I normally wouldn't leave a negative review, BUT I have waited to see if my vets office would reach out to see how Gracie is. The story is: Gracie, my 6 year old cat wasn't eating. I brought her in to see Dr. Holowinski on Monday 7/25/2022. He gave her fluids and a shot for nausea. By evening she took a turn for the worst so I called them Tuesday morning and spoke to his wife Debbie. I told her that Gracie was dying and I didn't know what to do. She said there isn't anyone to see her. Everyone is busy etc... I then frantically ran around looking for a vet to help her. Ended up at Vestal Veterinary. They did everything that they could but Gracie died. I brought her home in a box 😔 Dr. Holowinski s office NEVER called to see if Gracie lived or died. Well she DIED!!! There was no empathy on Debbie's part. Rude as always. I trusted this Veterinarian to help my 5 animals for over 10 years and yet, when there was an emergency they dropped the ball. Gracie is 4-ever in my heart. I am heartbroken and grieving for my beautiful little girl. RIP GRACIE 💝💔❤️

Great service! They are very attentive and thorough. The vet techs and support staff are all super friendly and very informative if you have any questions. The vets themselves are also very personable and informative. Not one single complaint about the level of care. Very professional, and rather inexpensive (as vets go).I got recommended to them by one of my best friends, and now I and my roommate take our pets (one senior cat and two middle-aged hound mixes) there.

The vets that work here are okay. They are not your friends, though. This is a business. As with any vet, nothing is cheap and they will always want 50 things done with no regard for cost. That's life. But, at least the vets act nice. Debbie on the front desk is the worst. Horribly rude. She must cost them many customers with her attitude and her clear 0 concern for animals or your bank account. If I'm paying hundreds to thousands of dollars, the least you can do is pretend to be nice.

I go way out of my way to come to this office. Love the staff! Very friendly, flexible hours, affordable prices, takes time to discuss things with you. I won’t take my babes anywhere else. They love going to the vets office and seeing their friends! Even with the Covid restrictions I know my pets are in good hands when they go inside. I always recommend this office to all my friends and family.

First time there with my 2 girl cats. I went there cause the southside closed its doors in Nov 2021 due to retirement after 43 yrs which is a good length of time. So I wish that doctor a good retirement. But this place was friendly & decent to me so I will go back & anybody who's looking for a vet go there.

careis good but $91.52 for amoxicillin was ridiculous that is a common med patient family should be warned re:this and offered to take script to outside pharmacy .people on fixed income may have tomake choices on what to seek tx for. we love our pets but even have to make tough decisions re:our own care sherry babcock wrote this not guy
