This is a great spot to eat and it never disappoints. Haven’t been there in a while because we live in the city. Tonight we had the tavern burger, tavern mac and cheese and I tried 2 of the specials. Beef barley soup and brisket sandwich which is probably the best brisket I’ve had in a very long time. The soup was very tasty and the brisket was full of flavor. It was topped with arugula, some sort of dressing and thinly sliced purple onion. It was outstanding.

Had an absolutely wonderful first experience at the Tavern on Main. I truly appreciated that Lauren (the owner) had them open early enough that those of us who desired to watch the NCAA women’s final game on a big tv could.Jonathan was absolutely lovely—probably one of the most emotionally intelligent bartenders I have ever met. He made honest and on point food recommendations as well (the Brussel Sprouts and the ribs which were excellent) and ensured that the sprouts were crispy as requested. Will definitely be back soon!

The roasted brussel sprouts were dry and had little taste. The garlic fries were not much better. They blew a keg as they filled our second pint. They were going to dump it but I said I would drink it rather than throw it away. I got a partial glass that was mostly foam. They insisted on charging me$8 for it. I will never go back and recommend you do not either. Drive a couple miles up the road to Livingston Manor and have a fresh cheaper one at the brewery. The people are nicer there too!

Was visiting a resort nearby but the food was so bad that we went on an adventure to find food. The tavern was great! Good service, big portions, and kind employees. Personally I think the fish and chips were a little salty but food was good overall.

All 3 of us loved our meals. I had an excellent Chicken Caesar Salad and one person proclaimed her burger was among the best she'd ever had. They also provided some excellent bread and service was responsive at a crowded time. The inside's gorgeous and there's also outside seating. My one complaint is that the prices are very high, with many dishes around 20 dollars each.

Tavern on Main was an interesting experience. We had received an invitation to try their food and service before their official opening. Four of us sat down and had no problems immediately finding items that piqued our interest.We started with Crispy Calamari and Maryland Crab Cakes. The calamari was tender and the marinara sauce bright and fresh with a hint of heat. The crab cakes were light and had a delightful and refreshing lemon butter sauce.Next we sampled a soup and some salads ordering a bowl of Corn Chowder, Apple Frisee Salad and a Wedge Salad. The corn chowder was flavorful and creamy. The Apple Frisee Salad was a great mix of textures and flavors with just the right seasonal hint of Autumn. The Wedge Salad was a total classic.We moved on to our mains of Chicken Pot Pie, Seared Scallop BLTs, Veggie Burger and the Tavern Burger accompanied by a side of Mashed Sweet Potatoes and some Mac & Cheese. Seriously, when mac & cheese is offered as a side it's totally an automatic yes!The Chicken Pot Pie could have benefited from additional seasoning, but everything else was thoroughly enjoyed. I seriously still dream about those scallop BLTs. The roasted cherry tomatoes were genius!We finished our meal with baked caramel apple dessert that was beyond. The Tavern's desserts have already earned them a very fine reputation. People may start skipping dinner and just move straight to dessert!Other notables were the friendly service and a remarkable list of whiskey and bourbon at their bar. Tavern on Main was a great experience, is a fine addition to Jeffersonville and worth experiencing for yourself.

We visit Villa Roma yearly. This was our first time visiting this establishment. My review is belowFood- very good and tasty. We enjoyed itService - way below standards. We did not feel we got the attention we should have and drinks took forever.Also, several menu items were not available.

The food was hit or miss; some of it was really good(the crab cakes, Brussel sprouts, and steak), while some was not very good at all(their fries were burnt, there quinoa salad had barely any quinoa, and there vegetarian wrap had more wrap than filling). The waitress we had was not at all friendly. We had to ask for appetizer plates, and she huffed and puffed about bringing them, then she brought too many, so my mother-in-law told her we didn't need that many and her rude response was "well I got them, so now I'm leaving them all here."All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Went on wing Wednesday. Wings were good to scratch the itch and a $1 each. Surprisingly, the parm fries was the better dish.I've gotten the ribs before. Wouldn't recommend. The fish tacos are decent though.

We invited people to Tavern on Main after my brothers funeral. The people at Tavern on Main were so helpful (Rene). They were able to organize the buffet quickly, with enough food to feed everyone with some extra to bring home. We were even early coming to the restaurant after the funeral, yet they let us come in and were so kind during a rough time for myself and family.

My boyfriend bought dinner from here for our anniversary for us and I did absolutely love the meal so much. So wanted to go experience it in the restaurant itself. We for there at the time it says they open all the staff is in there walking around watching us stand outside in the freezing cold to be let in. We waited 20 minutes out there yet Noone let us on. So we was leaving that's when they opened the doors for another couple who just got here ! We even called the night before to make sure of the hours and if we need reservations. So u was not happy at all .

There is not enough any of our party could say about Tavern on Main. The food is just exceptional and we were blown away. I would consider our group "foodies" and "travellers" so this review comes from a lot of eating experiences from all over and from three people. We shared three dishes including the strip steak, the crispy chicken and the egg noodle. For apps we had the prosciutto and ricotta and the oysters. The portions were elegant and small, as they often are in finer restaurants. It is hard to compare the steak or the chicken to any other we have had, they were both cooked to perfection and had incredible flavor. For dessert we did the peanut butter pie and the brownie sundae and nothing disappointed. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgable and friendly. What a find this place was!

Good service, music was nice; not too loud. I love the decorations. Food was a little salty but other than that it was yummy, prices were a little high for the quality. Bathrooms were clean. & even included a baby changer which I loved. The appetizers were better than the mains in my opinion; but everyone has their own. I would still recommend for a quick dinner.

Disappointing experience. Asked for a burger...ran out of burgers...asked for a flat iron steak that was 30 bucks....well..they were out of that too, but they had rib eyes that weren't on the menu...never told the price...but the bill came out and it was 45 bucks. We were shocked and the manager was not agreeable to reducing the cost. Felt like a bait and switch. Ants ran across the table too...oof...the chef who should have come out to talk with us instead of sending out the manager. Can't go back and neither can any of my many many family and friends...gonna continue to support Michelangelo across the street..they never let me down.

This is a charming, fun place! Ambiance is eclectic, the place is surprisingly large yet inviting & comfy. Service was friendly & attentive, & the breakfast/ brunch menu is scrumptious. Portions are generous. Lovely outdoor seating area in good weather. Great spot to bring the family, catch up with friends, or linger with that special someone.

Had a great dinner but most of all had a great experience! My family and I loved all our meals and were very happy with the service. Michele is an experienced server with a lot of knowledge of business and the Area and Jessica was very accommodating to our family. We will be back next year!
