Tops prices products aimed at people using SNAP and don't mind paying 20 - 30% more for products. They blatantly hate their customers. Prices constantly outpacing inflation. Seeing what their vendors charge they certainly hate the people who shop there. Have you seen the bakery lately? They used to be a good value, now it's like 14 for a pie. Three years ago it was 7. They just really hate their customers.

The big Tops is my favorite grocery store in the city! This place is awesome, they have everything a regular Tops has and more, they even have space to devote to a particular ethnic group, such as an entire Puerto Rican section instead of just a part of an aisle. Knowing how to work the flyer, use coupons, and pouncing on the best deals help offset the additional cost of going here rather than say Walmart or ALDI. If you're like me and would rather be anywhere on Earth that isn't Walmart unless it's a crisis situation, you will appreciate the noticeable step-up that the Washington State Tops offers. Allegedly there's a Wegmans in this city but I haven't found it yet, once I do I will return to this review with my verdict on that vs this Tops!

I stop here a few times a week for gas. Andrew at the pumps is a top notch employee. He stands up and greets me every time I stop by to fill up. Really makes me feel welcome and keeps me coming back! Keep up the great work Andrew.

Big supermarket has good options an awesome bakery for fresh everything i love bread an donuts so that extra points an two main reasons i shop here daily great manager and hard working employees, have been a few robberies but they have upgraded a bunch of security measures to make sure it doesn't happen again im sure reliable family friendly environment i enjoy shopping here. I miss the personal greeter at the door instead of the self check out saying "Thank you for shopping at tops"

It's pretty good except the one on Washington Street in Jamestown on one end of the aisle it has signs with things on it and on the other end of aisle it'll have other things on the signs so it's kind of confusing

Store is very well organized and the staff is friendly. Great place to get your groceries including fresh produce and deli foods. If you’re in town for a short stay, ask the clerk if they will scan a discount card for you.

Its NOT Wegmans and it's NOT Dollar General. Tops is a good grocery store.The biggest problem with Tops is how much their prices fluctuate and the bogo sales that aren't sales.

The employees are extremely rude there. I remember walking into the store with a backpack because I literally walked everywhere at the time and then when the manager told me I wasn’t allowed to have it I asked if it was ok to leave it at the CS desk they refused to keep it there so I just walked out. Never stopped there again.

The store is clean but the restrooms are a dirty disaster. I have pictures of the dirty women's bathroom. Everytime I have been in there, there was dirty footprints on the floor, feces marks inside the toilet. Toilet paper dispenser sitting on the floor, and horrible dirty sink. Every time I have been in there it has never been cleaned. There are even pee marks on the walls and dirt in the corners. I have been in the restroom at Tops on Foote ave and Tops in Falconer and the restroom is always clean in these locations. I sent a complaint to Tops before and even sent pictures and they do not do anything ever about the restrooms on Washington street. My nephew went in the mens and he said it is dirty also. I do not shop at this Tops anymore because of the dirty bathroom.

Not enough cashier lines open for the amount of people. Only two lines with cashiers. Very few people using self checkout because they were having problems with them. Customers tend to use self checkout when they have few items to purchase. Other than this issue, I personally prefer to shop at this tops than Walmart, Wegmans or Aldi's.

I went there to deposit my soda cans for five each and there is a guy there no enough, but he was using four out of the five redemption machines all to himself. I mean what’s wrong with his frontal cortex? This is cerebellum or spinal column just not registered rationality or maybe he was just from Jamestown lol.

I’m THAT guy, the one who walks into the store @ 11:15pm, frenetically grabbing a cart and jetting off, under the close watchful eye of ALL of the employees who are seemingly wondering ‘Why?!’, and in 15 I’ve done my shopping and I’m out $200! But truly, they weren’t thinking anything of the sort; the nicest, most professional and understanding employees make their impression on me every time. Thanks!!

It was a great experience, I bought everything I needed for my Christmas Celebration..for a great price..Loved the atmosphere, the employees were kind and helpful,even during the last few day before Jesus's Birthday..I would recommend Tops to anyone..there store brands will not leave you disappointed..💜🙏🏈 💙 ❤🙏prayers for Damar..🙏

Bakery department is always full of awesome treats. That's really all I'm looking for in a grocery store. I don't track prices or anything like I probably should, so that's what's important to me. I just need neat little bakery treats that make my pants not fit. 🤣

Love the store and everything but when I asking for assistance from this older gentleman who was stocking the shelves he gave a snarky answer and than rolled his eyes when my mother and I walked away. He had gray hair a little chubby wasn’t wearing a name tag probably a good thing because I would have definitely mentioned his name and got him in trouble I hope. It’s ridiculous you ask the workers there for some kind of help and it’s so annoying to them that is part of their job I don’t understand what is so difficult about it.

This Tops is easy to get into and being larger than the others in the area has everything on my list most days. Greeters and cart attendant are hard working and friendly.

Tops is pricey. Especially with the recent inflation. Its so obvious. They do carry a better selection of things so that's why I go there. They have many things you can't get anywhere else. The customer service is hit and miss. No one there is really passionate about the place and it shows. However its worth a trip if your looking for some different thing to add to your cupbaord.

Great supermarket!... In one place we found all we needed for our stay at Jamestown. Products were fresh. A lot of variety. The cashier was so friendly and helpful during our shopping.

Prices are a bit high on a few things. However, the meat, bakery, and produce are real good. Also, there is a nice variety of different brands of groceries, which is nice. Store is always clean and the young men are super friendly and helpful.

Really good selection of products. Prices actually a bit higher than Wegmans and Wallmart. Store very clean and seldom too crowded. Staff very genuinely friendly. Home town type larger grocery store with the absolutely hugest Goya Food product section I have ever seen. Yay!!! Try a Goya Refrigerated Smoothie it is Delicious.

It's tops, sometimes they don't mind you're there.Sometimes they let you go in the entrance. Now and then tho...you'll get a great parking spot right at the front only to be denied access because they already engaged the pre-lockdown. Now you are left with the choice of continuing on foot or moving the car to the other end, where the functional doors are. The doors with clearly better lighting, unobstructed by sandwich boards, surrounded by well informed customers all of whomhave a much better parking spot.

While many of the Tops locataions are smaller and considered convenient stores, this one is a beautiful, full sized, fully stocked grocery store. Walking into the store, the first thing that greets you is the wonderful smell of bread and baked goods from their in house bakery. The deli is large and well stocked, with fresh rotisserie chickens and a great variety of cheeses and cold cuts. The produce department is outstanding, loaded with rows of vibrant, crisp vegatables and fruits. Pricing is moderate, however, their weekly newspaper flyer specials make the trip well worth it, and their support for our local newspaper has not gone unnoticed. Top it off with their convenient gas station and customer discounted gasoline, and you have a real local winner. Our family will be doing the majority of our shopping here, proudly supporting our local regional grocery chain!

Tops is a friendly place to shop. The different dept. Heads are very helpful & knowledgeable. I love the pharmacy. Been with Tops pharmacy since 1999. A variety of products in the store with many organic choices.

Pretty big compared to some of the other Tops markets in the area. I love it. They have a bank inside, pharmacy, and a really huge meat market and catering service available. They also have a huge bakery for breads and cakes. Their own seafood section to get lobsters. It's a wonderful place with good deals and good selections. Very enjoyable. I shop here for groceries every chance that I get.

So this will be against the department where you get pizza, not the entire store. I placed an order the other day for a pizza to be ready at 2pm. I show up at 2 and there is not a soul in the department. No food ready. Nothing. The lady in the deli informed me that she was sorry but she thinks they all went on break. I should have known better. The last 2 times I got pizza made by the manager, I got sick. Like food poisoning sick. Never. A. Freaking. Again.

This Tops was huge, clean, stocked, average prices compared to other Tops markets. I was actually amazed that it's shelves were stocked because so many stores are not in recent months. They also had a lot of Bacon, coffee creamer and all the other items Walmart and some other stores are nearly out of for the past few months.
