They were very nice and helpful !! I did feel bad though, they have so many animals that need homes and help . They still help animal owners with whatever they have extra which is also a very awesome thing !! They also have a pet pantry at the salvation army , which is cool too for anyone that needs a little help feeding their pet or pets .

We love our Buddy dog. He was a stray that came into the humane society, my son and I knew as soon as we saw him that he belonged in our family. He was a pretty wild dog when we got him, and had NO manners but as you can see he has calmed down and is so content living with his forever family. We are so happy and so is he!!

No place better to find a new member of your family! Everyone is truly dedicated to caring for and making the lives of the animals better. And ultimately finding them a family!

I like animals they don’t steal from you, like this to Jordan Baca a.k.a. Robbinhood, for obvious reasons, that takes everything I own when I don’t look, but I see you, even though I’m not looking, don’t forget to neuter and spay your animals control the population of pets, welcome to hell

Kelsie was great, she explained everything very thoroughly and let us knowMedical history on every cat we asked about. She is a great asset to the humane society. We also really like the other girl, didn’t get her name but we know she had a 4 year old that loves Francesca! We highly recommend going to adopt a cat or dog from the Chautauqua humane society! Beba (now Milly) is settling in perfectly. She’s a great addition to our family!

Very nice people that worked there. They let me and my family visit with one of the puppies. I will be going back to adopt a puppy after the movers finish moving me and my family to our new home.

I loved working here. The job itself was something I was happy to do. The woman who hired me? Borderline abusive. I always tell my employers I can be slow to learn so that they don't expect too much of me. One month I worked there, that's it. The entire time I heard nothing but how I wasn't fast enough and was not thorough enough. I was doing my absolute best. And I got nothing but our down the entire time. I walked off the job.

Nice facility. It is very clean and well organized. Dog spaces vary by size. Cats are in three areas; kittens, seniors, and a colony like a commune for all the ones in the middle. Adoption fee is very reasonable.*" COVID protocols are still in place and it is appointment only to visit adoptable animals. Several cats are in the lobby area and can be seen on a walk-in visit. The very few busy staff are augmented by volunteers. They also "farm out" the animals to Lakewood and Chautauqua Mall location. If picking an animal from one of the stores; the adoption is still handled through the HS.

Love this place and the staff. They gave me great advice to set up adoption for my newest family merry Piper and in an hour we had a meet, got to walk piper and get to see her demeanor with strangers and know she was comfortable with us. Very satisfied with their questions for adoption and the care they show to their animals.

We called to inquire about private cremation of our dog, that we were having euthanized at 1030. They did not bother to call us back until after 330. Thank god we went to a vet that did everything for us in one place, or we would have had to wait 5 hours without knowing where to take her to have this service completed. First and last time I try working with them.

We got a sweet little kitten here. Everyone is very helpful, and the volunteers are very helpful with introducing the animals. You get a little adoption starter kit (food, toys ext.) And a guide on how to make sure your pet stays healthy. They have little bandanas and cat toys for sale at the front. Overall an amazing place.

My daughter took our 8 month old pup to be neutered yesterday & she was very pleased with the service. Our pup appears to be happy & healing well. I thank the staff & vet for the great care. I will be donating more in the future.

Stopped in to look at kittens and woman at first desk was extremely rude and said they no longer allow you to see the kittens. I asked for clarification and she became belligerent. I have adopted two animals from them previously and I am a foster for them but I will not be back nor foster. I will find another place to foster for.

(they lied to me) 6 months ago I attended a cat adoption campaign at there adoption center in the Chautauqua mall. I went there a day early and found a rather cute kitten in the window. The following day when the center was open (I was first in line) I picked up a cat named Marvin. This cat is clearly a dog. He has a favorite toy that he carries everywhere loves to fetch and loves exploring outside. He loves exploring so much I take him on nature walks now. This cat fits the title "man's best friend".If you are looking to adopt a cat from the Chautauqua County Humane society they may give you a dog

Humane Society does a great job! They've fixed all the feral cats in my area (the price was VERY reasonable/affordable) and gave them all Initial shot! Grateful they are close by.

The people were wonderful! I had to give away an aggressive dog. They are very professional people. They asked me a few questions, let me say goodbye, and they gave him obedience training so he could be adopted. It took him less than a year to find his family! ❤️
