Was in town for an appointment, I got dropped off quite early so I decided to walk to the store and get some things I needed. It would have been big lots but alas their bathroom was closed. That makes a store inaccessible to people like myself with health problems. I had to walk all the way to Walgreens for a bathroom and they got my business too! Keep in mind before you close your bathrooms that it will limit the people who are able to shop there, and for how long (aka how many items we will spend our money on).

Very nice establishment and it's been a while since I've been to this store they really have stepped it up staff could be more helpful took the young kid to ask if we needed any help but other than that I was pleased with how far this store has come

Sad to see prices so high.. I loved big lots for its lower prices. Now their pricing is the same of not worse than Wal-Mart.

Big lots always makes me smile, not quite sure why. But I give 5 stars mostly because they sell quality raw unfiltered Honey at a discount price. Additionally, the cheapest 3 mil contractor bags in America. (The village of America, North Dakota)

They always have great seasonal decorations and food plus their selection of clothing has increased in variety and quality at affordable prices. If you can't find what you are looking for you haven't tried Big Lots yet.

Dirty and it smelled horrible. I was there today still the same. I asked a worker where something was. And she was very rude and wasn't much help. A friend of mine wanted to buy something there. I am like still shop more .. I hate big lots. Update .. he did take my advice and bought his furniture so.e place elseHe is very pleased he didn't go to big lots

Definitely a store you can find great products at a nice discount and always a variety. I personally would have given a better rating if there were more staff and the ones that are there were shown how to prioritize. A cashier was literally talking with a customer about what seemed to be colors which would have been fine if she didn't have a line to cash out then proceed to leave the cash register to walk back into the store to show her something that wasn't a priority. I stood in line for roughly eleven minutes before before cashing out. Although the one and only other cashier was very pleasant and new how to delegate between immediate and other things that could wait until there weren't customers waiting to cash out. Also she went above and beyond for me and did all this within the time it took the other woman to walk ten feet. Also the store manager nice enough should have jumped on a register and helped but instead walked up to void out a transaction which took all of five seconds then walked back and sat down to finish what he was doing on the computer which could have waited until the line was gone. Store is clean and for the most part what you would expect a department store to be. Just don't go when it's super busy because if you don't have patience or are in a hurry you will be extremely disappointed.

Walk into a robbery in progress. As I walked in the door...Two associates trying to take down a person. The store is located in Brooklyn Square Jamestown. Not a good area of Jamestown at all. On my way out of the store I was stopped by a homeless man insisting that I buy him a towel. Something needs to be done. I Will not return to the store again.

I hadn't been to Big Lots in months. The store was cleaner and had been remodeled. It was a very nice upgrade. The downside is their grocery section is slot smaller than it was, as is the pet section. I was disappointed in that. They have considerably expanded their furniture section, which seems to be the main focus of the store now.

Centrally located and tons of parking. This Big Lots store is spacious and clean. The layout makes sense to shopping quickly with the most common used items front and center. Their furniture area has plenty of room to browse and try out the floor models. They have great prices on their seasonal items and just about everything else. The store is a great place to shop and save money.

It took a while to get help with some furniture and when we finally did it was one mess up after another. We had to explain what we wanted and when we would be picking it up 3 or more times. The associate was clearly only listening to the fact that we wanted to buy something and nothing else. Not a good experience.

This big lots has a really good selection of linens like towels, sheets and blankets. Their housewares are interesting and occasionally you will find a great price for things. We have gotten furniture from the store and everything we have purchased has held up well without being too pricey. I'm not as impressed with their grocery department and the personal care section is a joke. It's a fun store to poke around in now and then to see what deals they have.

Friendly workers! But some of the merchandise would be marked one price and ring up a higher price or the shelf would say a lower price and it would ring higher, plus I also found one item marked at two very different prices one was $6 and the other$9 for the same exact item. I know it's not all their fault, but watch out for that because if the short time I was in there and found at least 3 different items wrong like that, who knows how many other things are wrong as well?? It's just a little frustrating.

The layout has changed and it's a nicer tour around the store and more organized, but, the lack of staff leaves something to be desired. But the prices are good for most things....

Big Lots in Jamestown New York as a wide variety of items that people need everyday and a huge variety of unique items from imported Foods to home decor. They are priced reasonably and the store is set up for ease of shopping. It is neat and clean and the staff was helpful, friendly and polite. There is something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable.

Basically a fancy dollar store. It looks cheap, but most prices are the same as in regular stores. The furniture is even pretty expensive.
