Honestly I don't know why this Inn has such bad reviews. Stayed overnight with my to friends in a double queen room. Walked in and immediately smelled how clean it was! Room was cute with a small fridge and coffee maker. I think it had a microwave. for 3 people it was fine. Yes the heater/AC was noisy but worked fine. Breakfast was simple but appreciated! Staff couldn't have been any nicer. Convenient to many wineries. Grana and Elbow room were great restaurants. Twin Still Moonshine was a great surprise! and the price to stay here...... perfect!!

I just spent 2 nights here visitng the wineries with 2 girlfriends. If you are looking for a simple clean motel, this is it. The staff are very friendly. Bagels and coffee for breakfast in the office every morning. We loved having an area to start a fire pit fire on the grounds during the evenings of our stay. We plan to stay here for future visits to the North Fork.

I stayed here with my fiance for my brother's wedding. We had to request an early check in as I was in the wedding party and needed to be there earlier. We were checked in within minutes and in our room. The room was somewhat clean. You can tell a cleaning staff had cleaned the room and there was no odor or anything but there were a few spots that could use a deeper cleaning. When we got back to our room that night we laid down on the bed and the bed springs screamed to be put out of their misery. The bed was slanted and was super uncomfortable all night long. Neither my fiance or I got a good night's sleep. It also doesn't help that the road that the hotel is on is kinda busy at night. At 1am there was an 18 wheeler that rolled by blasting it's horn but I can't blame the property for that Other than the mattress and the few spots that need a deep clean, it was an overall okay stay.

this is honestly such a nice spot for the price. the bed was comfortable. the area was nice. staff were accommodating and pleasant. i would absolutely stay here again.the only thing for me, which doesn’t change my star rating, is the small size of the bathroom. i’m a bigger guy so that was a bit tough but i made it work and it doesn’t take away from the rest of the establishment

Just plain awful. We were appalled. It was small, unclean, and smelled awful. Nothing like the pictures! Our room was so bad we returned the keys 15 minutes after getting them. Respectfully requested a refund, even offering to pay for one of the nights. Checked into another hotel, adding more expense to the trip. Owner later offered another room but we had already checked into another hotel. I can see that other guests had similar experiences. Avoid this place!

Here's the scoop: Safe. Clean rooms. AC. Great location. Kind staff. Can't beat the price. Rooms are small but we did just fine with two adults and two young kids. We had a small fridge and a microwave, a fairly large closet. No frills. For a $100 refundable deposit you'll receive a beach pass to either Iron Pier or South Jamesport beach. If you're familiar with the North Fork, then you know that beach parking is pretty impossible. Needed a quick NoFo getaway on a budget and Shorewood Inn worked great for us.

Checked in to our room and was greeted by the heavy smell of disinfectant. Opened the windows to dissipate for a half-hour but to no avail. I let management know and they offered me another room. Same smell there so I declined and asked for a refund, which was declined by the manager so we left.If you really like the smell of Pine-Sol that doesn’t go away, then this is the place for you. Hey, it’s a 2-star hotel, so expectations should be low… and this is my 2-star review.

I've stayed here a few times and each time the room is clean and fresh smelling. The person who checks you in is very friendly and it's nice that they offer bagels and coffee in the morning. The Paul Mitchell toiletries are a nice touch, too. Comfortable little inn at a great price for the area.

I have reservations for this hotel for this coming weekend and I have covid running through my family so I called to cancel. They mentioned they have a 2 week cancelation policy and I would still have to pay for the room. I mentioned that if I show up sick it could mean other people getting sick and they did not seem to care which is concerning as they don't seem to care much for their staff and for their guests. I understand they have a policy regarding cancelations but illness and medical issues are not planned events and my wife is rather sick right now but I guess the hotel really needs the 352$ per night seeing as they will not allow me to cancel

DO NOT GO HERE. Booked a two day stay for a wedding I attended and ended up sleeping in our car. Multiple other guests of the wedding had to book a separate hotel when they saw how bad this place was. Our room was full of bugs (pictures below), the sheets/blankets/furniture were soiled, and the room smelled so bad. Shocking that this has 4+ stars on Google.

My wife and I stayed one night at the pet friendly Shorewood Inn in late December. It was beyond a wonderful experience. The room was spotlessly clean even though the weather was inclement. The bed was very comfortable and the heater was excellent. The Cross Sound Ferry is only 25 miles from the inn and was an easy drive early in the morning. During our trip from Florida, we stayed at nine different hotels and this was by far the best. I promise that if you make the Shorewood Inn part of your trip to Long Island you will not be disappointed.

I decided to spend the night in the area after visiting the Vineyards establishment which was right down the road. I had a pleasant stay. Clean room and quiet surroundings. Very well lighted outside at night which I appreciated. Recommend to anyone who is trying to save a few bucks versus spending $250/ night in the local hotels.

My boyfriend and I wanted to stay on Long Island and explore different areas such as the Hamptons but it was so expensive. We found this for a great deal, and it was an awesome little place surrounded by many vineyards and great restaurants. Room was clean and equipped with a fridge, microwave, hair dryer, and an iron. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely go back!

Stayed here while on an unexpected visit out East and seeking a lower budget. What a wonderful surprise! Room sizes are what you would expect. Everything is well renovated, very clean, and decorated within the class of a motor inn (think Walmart/IKEA/Target levels). Laminate wood floors (not dirty carpet). They have a huge barbecue area with extensive outdoor lounge seating under a tent with a fire pit. Breakfast with awesome bagels daily. Kirin at the front desk is super responsive, caring, and welcoming. Highly recommended.

This was our 2nd time here. We like the place and appreciate the good value in an expensive part of the world. We rented the tiniest room, and we were happy. We spent most of our time outdoors--at the beach. I appreciated the fresh bagels and coffee in the morning. I bought my son a breakfast sandwich from the shopping center a 4-min walk away. Clean room. Clean, fluffy towels. Happy for the chance to get away. Be sure to check out Iron Pier Beach! And Lenny's Pizza!!

Upon arrival we were greeted with a surly man — no smiles it was clear we didn’t pay enough ( $350!!!) the room smelled musty and was the smallest room I had ever stayed in. Bathroom tiny and claustrophobicAnd to top it off we asked for one more towel since there was only 2 small bath towels — they said NO!!! Don’t stay hereFood & drinks: Biscuit restaurant was wonderful for breakfast

Love it! My husband and I have stayed here a few times. We've stayed in both the fall and summer, traffic isn't an issue which we we're skeptical at first with traffic and noise.<br/>It's always clean. The staff is friendly. The grounds and rooms are nicely decorated and kept up with. We love the location, so close to the vineyards and restaurants. We can't wait to go back! My husband and I loved the lounge area. We wish they invested in a hot tub. That would wonderful.

Bathroom was a little small. I'm a big guy so it was impossible to get past the sink without keeping the door open. Otherwise it was a great place. Great shopping center next door with delicious pizza and an amazing bagel store. Best omlett ever! Our second stay and would go back.

From the outside it looks adorable the inside very clean sheets when I looked into booking it, it said $80 when my three-year-old son and I got there and booked it it said $90. I get to my room take a shower in the extremely small shower and I’m looking in the mirror out and where the bed is and I look up top, there’s a fully loaded syringe, on top of my mirror and all I keep thinking is God for bid it fell and my three year old son got a hold of it!!! I go to the office I tell the guy he comes to get it. Not a sorry or . How can I fix this? Nothing ….just walks so on top of getting charged $10 more a night and finding a fully loaded syringe in my room the guy had nothing to say about it I wish I would’ve recorded the whole encounter. I just wish that Guy would’ve been more apologetic about the whole situation.

Yeah.... No! What a nice idea Shorewood Inn is. Easy to get to, Nice enough manager, Simple. But in the end the room was SO BAD we checked out in the middle of the night and had to get a room 45 minutes away. It smelled like a previous guest had mistaken the closet for the bathroom. I kinda felt bad for the manager as he was really trying but this was not a good choice and it was a mistake that cost us a pretty penny.

Great central location near wineries, restaurants. Only issue was they installed high power LED lighting outside the rooms and even with blinds drawn the room was lit up. Hard to sleep if you like total darkness.

Rooms are small but all you need. I found mine to be clean, but one of the towels had a hole in it. the WiFi and Air Conditioning both worked, but were spotty. The parking lot is very well lit, but to a detriment as the light bleeds into your room when you’re trying to sleep and the shades don’t keep it out too well. The people that run the place are very nice and helpful.

Cheap and cheerful with excellent service. Stayed here for work for 2 nights in the middle of the icy winter. Wifi was good, heat was great, comfy bed and management jumped to it when we had an issue with hot water, finding a solution fast. For the price this was a great stay and the morning coffee was a nice touch.
