1st. the owner is fantastic, patient and will describe his tasty creations if needed. The treats are just scrumptious! I don’t know what to say. Everything purchased was fresh, tasty and made my night and day. This place is a gem , Enjoy it as it’s a g8 way to start and/or end your day !

The lemon meringue pie is the best! The store has a cozy, unpretentious family owned vibe. It’s been a family owned business and thé owner Christopher is very friendly and helpful, willing to chat as you pick out baked goods.Edit: we got an assortment of cookies today. And they are so delicious! I love the grandmas meltaways and the powdered ones with almonds in them the most , but the taste feels so homey and comforting.

This is THE place to go if you want high-quality pastries that are amazingly delicious. The cherry turnover and apple strudel are to die for. We chatted with the owner and baker, who was the former head pastry chef at the Garden City Hotel.Warning: Be prepared to ditch the diet!

What a fantastic Bakery and an incredible story behind it! Owner is super friendly and clearly loves what he does for so long. The apple and pear pie was delicious and the Irish soda bread was amazing! One of my favorites is the mini chocolate babka. A must visit when you're in the neighborhood!

First off, I always try to support local business. That being said, I could never recommend Junda's. My wife went in there over the New Years weekend to get an apple strudel. When she came out and I asked her how much it was, she told me $30! And that was for the half size strudel. $30 for apple, cinnamon and dough? I was ready to go back in there to demand my money back, but my kind hearted wife talked me out of it. What a ripoff! Just because these places are out east, they ask outrageous prices for sub-par goods. And there are NO prices posted any where. Do yourself a favor, save your money and find another bakery

We went back for their crusty pies and found an amazing apple almond tart. The pies are actually filled with real fruits not the junk starchy mix. Got some Halloween cookies too!The owner took the time to speak with us and gave us a bit of history of Junda’s.

We were visiting North Fork for a few days and stopped by here. The owner was very friendly and chatty. He let me enter the bakery with my dog. I bought some dog treats and the owner let me have another one on the house!I bought a blueberry lemon pie and it was delicious. Like others said, it was on the expensive side but I felt everything on our trip, from lunch/dinner to tastings at the wineries, was expansive. My two items, 6 inch pie and treats for my dog, cost me $27. I wish prices were posted and ingredients on the baked goods were listed where possible.

Stopped in for the first time last weekend 02/18/23. The owner, Christopher, met us at the counter. What proceeded was a 30 minute conversation about the bakeries history which resulted in a 6 degrees of separation situation about a mutual friend. Priceless! Apple Pear pie and all else was incredible. Can't wait to go back!

like several of us, i decided to try this bakery after it was highlighted on news12. Junda’s is the most expensive bakery i’ve been and one with the least tasty items. Extremely expensive for stalled items and baked good made from premade mix. The baguette and the cookies were the most offending items by far. TJoes has much better baked goods, with better texture, taste. The price paid was outrageous too.

Walking into this place is like walking back in time. Very friendly and the cakes and pastries are out of this world delicious. My favorite cake is the Apple Caramel Crumb. Absolutely hands down the best cake I have ever eaten.

Products are decent, but not worth the rudeness of the owner. My father was on his way there to get a birthday cake for my mother earlier today and he called to ask about stock for a particular cake. The baker said they were closing early for the day because of the snow storm (it was 3PM and the snow storm was due to start at 4AM). My dad said he'd be there in 15 minutes and the baker said they'd be open for around 30, then the owner took the phone, and with an attitude said: "we're closing in 10 come some other time." I thought this was extremely uncalled for. We will be getting our cakes elsewhere from now on.

There are no prices, so buyer beware. My Mom ordered a danish ring, 2 cookies, and 2 scones. The total was in the mid $50's! She is elderly, so I'm not sure if she was taken advantage of or if the prices are simply outrageous. Who would know with no prices posted? I would have walked out, but she felt she had to buy it since it was already boxed up. The quality was good, but nothing great. Never again.

Best bakery on the North Fork of Long Island. Crumb cake and jelly donuts are my favorite and the kids love every cookie in the case. The babka and breads are amazing too. Chris, the owner, is so nice and welcomes feedback.

Outrageously expensive strudel.. wasn’t in the display case but hidden in the back where we couldn’t see if he was giving us a freshly made on or yesterdays. Counter person was borderline rude. Do not buy the strudel unless you see the entire piece…then again it was rather hohum….I’ve eaten better and paid way less for decent pastry

Tried to get a cake ordered for a week and was constantly told to call back to speak to owner who never returned a call as the regular staff apparently couldn't take an order for a custom cake on their own. Then got lectured by the owner on calling in advance if i want a special order. Called Blue Duck Bakery and got the cake i wanted in one phone call with no attitude.

I finally made a stop as this shop which I learned about on Channel 12Very disappointed There are excellent bakeries on Long Island and out east but this is not one of them. Pastries were dry and taste insipidOwner not friendly at all. All business

Excellent "old school" bakery! I live for baked goods and this place hits the spot for me. Not fancy-schmancy, excellent and great variety. Sorry, I didnt know about this place sooner.

Would give 0 stars but its not an option. The guy who runs it is extremely rude and hateful. He was rude to my wife over the phone.Price is too high for the quality of the products. A 6” cheesecake is $20 and it’s half an inch tall. Tastes mostly like flour and not cheese. There’s too many options in the North Fork to go spend money on this place.

Very small bakery, closes early. Was featured on News 12 so we thought it would be great. Paid almost $15 for 4 donuts (no prices posted) and they were just alright. Kind of dry and the boston cream had a strange dry, spongy custard inside. Didn't try the strudel but I saw on the order form that it goes for $80 for one. We live almost an hour away and had tried to stop many times while passing. Won't go back.

Amazing pastries and bread. Best streudel anywhere. Friendly staff. Some might say pricey, but I say worth every penny. Got a quarter struedel, (the best I've ever had.) a Satin and Silk Cake, (New York cheesecake chocolate mousse and rich chocolate glaze) and a pear custard tart. We start our diets tomorrow, I promise. Go there.

I walked into Junda's and was immediately overwhelmed by the awesome smell of numerous baked goods. MMMMMM!!!! Bought a few things and tried the apple strudel right after lunch. It was delicious. Before I tasted it, I thought that it was kinda expensive. Now I know why. Looking forward to the other 2 products I purchased

We bought several different items (peach raspberry pie, scones, muffins and donuts). All very fresh and extremely delicious! It's our first trip out to Riverhead since the pandemic and we were so happy to see so many of of favorite places open! 😄

Strudel was very good. Small chocolate cake-like roll was dry and bitter like cocoa. Awful!I dropped $96.00 on just 4 items there. EVERYTHING is waaaaay OVER PRICED!$40.00 for apple strudel is beyond rediculous, even for very good apple strudel. So i tried it, but I'll never go back, nor will I recommend it.

Stale products, strudel isn't strudelJust dough with apples. WAY OVERPRICED, owner rude & dismissive. I don't trust him, and I feel he lies. NEVER! NEVER!NEVER

Muffins might have had some flavor but were so dry and hard it was hard to tell. Croissants were like oily bricks, not light and cripy like they should be and the apple turnovers were disappointing as well. Sorry to say this because the staff member who served me was very friendly. I would not go back so can't recommend this place.

The gentleman behind the counter was one of the rudest angry people I have ever encountered anywhere as a customer in my life. I am shocked to see all the reviews saying how nice he is although, I do see one saying he was rude to another woman so maybe he is like this to females only. After being berated and scowled at for a few minutes for coming in 15 minutes before they close (on a rainy Sunday while the shop was empty,) not knowing how much the non-labeled items cost, or what a macaroon looked like, my friend and I decided to leave and buy pastries at another place down the road. Disgusting behavior.

Stopped in for a pie, got an apple cranberry and it was delicious. Also got some of their chocolate chip cookies that were delicious as well. A little on the pricey side, but honestly quite worth it.

It felt it was overpriced. I don't mind paying if something is awesome. But, the chocolate chunk cookies were bland. No taste really. The chocolate did not have the rich taste you look for. Oatmeal were just ok. The apple strudel was ok. Kind of doughy. We got a half strudel, and some cookies. We were taken back by the price.
