I rarely write reviews and if I do, it's usually good ones minus this one. Went here as suggestions from several people we know. Very rude owner. He got so angry that a super nice lady gave my mom and I a coupon because she had an extra. He yelled to his staff behind the closed door "This freaking customer is giving other customers coupons!!!" Even the lady looked at me and said, wow he got so angry because I gave you a coupon. Other customers also heard him being rude after it happened behind the door he had shut to avoid us, all because she gave us a coupon. Kept on hearing rude remarks from him because of it- don't think he realized we could hear everything he was saying. Very rude. if you don't want people using coupons, don't give them out!! Gabrielson's (in Jamesport on Herricks Lane) lost some customers because of his rudeness. To the lady who gave us the coupons, if you are reading this- we thank you for your kindness! The world needs more kind people like you.

Always came here for mums and always spent a lot of money we went today to buy flats and were yelled at rudely for mixing which we were not doing !! We were comparing colors and look ing which cells were the best we were screamed at to buy it or not so we left

Beautiful plants. Had helpful people here on Monday April 5th, told us we could take one tropical plant home and if it was the right Size, we could come back, pay for and put 3 more on the side for us till first week may. 2 people told us that was good. Went back today and they can’t do that. They don’t have any room and they will sell them anyway if we don’t get them. Not exactly the customer service you would expect. Not like we made this up, the people that worked there told us it would be okay. Now the owner says no. A shame.

I have dealt with Gabrielsen's for years now. Their plants are the healthiest. They are very reasonably priced and even though its almost an hour from my house I won't shop any place else for plants. The people are super nice and knowledgeable too. I highly recommend them!!

Sale item in their ad in Newsday didn't have an expiration date. Was told by cashier that the sale ended the day before, but that they still had good prices. When I took my items back to the cashier, she told me that it wasn't eligible for the $5.00 off coupon because the price was a "special", even though I spent well over the $35.00 minimum. No notification on the item that it was a special. I feel that their ad was very misleading and that they make up the rules as they go along. She knew what I was buying as I had asked her about it. There are very many Plant Farms in my area, but have gone to Gabrielsen's before, driving over 30 miles. Won't go there again. They lie.

Not happy with the hanging new guinea impatiens plants we purchased this year. We purchased them the Friday before Mother's Day and immediately the leaves started browning and the flowers drooped on all four plants. We thought maybe some water would help. Itdidn't. Very disappointing. We always make the yearly trip out to Gabrielsons every year. If closer we would have brought the plants back. Not returning to purchase from this nursery.

They always have what I am looking for! The customer service is exceptional, and everyone is so knowledgeable about all the plants and flowers. I have been getting those hard to find items there for years and I am looking forward to doing my Spring planting after a visit to their place very soon! Large selection of flowers and vegetables all looking strong and healthy. Went to 3 other nurseries that I usually go to none of them had the flowers I wanted but Gabrielsen's did.

Local nursery that has a nice collection of plants that will grow in the native environment. Picked up some fresh corn as well as some homemade Huckleberry jam. Always friendly and knowledgeable.

They've moved to this location in the last year or so. Recently went pumpkin picking and had a great time. Hayrides and pumpkin painting for the kids, good prices.
