Some people who work here are very nice. However the person who gave me a flu shot made a joke about how everyone hates vaccines, which I thought was inappropriate, bordering on offensive, and also untrue. But the bigger problem was that the pharmacy made it really hard to get prescriptions filled. Every time it was a different problem and delay, sometimes for days, with various reasons given, and different answers depending on who answered the phone or spoke to me at the store. I asked Walgreens general customer service for help, who connected me with management, who was very nice and helpful, and things improved for a bit. But then it all happened again, and I couldn’t deal, so I just changed pharmacies. Very frustrating experience. I see others having similar experiences so am adding mine. This pharmacy is in a critical location; has so many quality affordable products and stayed stocked in 2020 when other places had empty shelves; and some employees here are very nice and helpful. But they need to train the staff in better professionalism practices with customers and develop more efficient and consistent ways to fill prescriptions.

Really sad, a prescription that was supposed to be auto filled, did not because of the laziness of the pharmacy. When I asked how long it would take I was told “ I don’t know, it could be sooner or later, it’s going to take some time” … how unprofessional. Would not recommend.

I have UTI which requires antibiotics. I am a visitor to Ithaca. This is the worse health service provider that I ever had the misfortune to interact with! Interact is a misnomer as I could only interact with automated responder that only wants your telephone . Not poor service, NO SERVICE!

Super disorganized vaccine administration. We were eligible for the covid vaccine under the 1B phase, so we signed up at the closest location in this Walgreens. We had eligibility letters with us, but then we were told that they are not administering for our phase yet. Others in the same phase had gotten the vaccine at different Walgreens locations. So inconsistent. If they are not serving later phases, at least make it clear on their website or on the registration form like other pharmacies. They only link to NY state official site which lists the 1B group as eligible. The worst was how the pharmacist was very slow with serving the people in line and also rude. We were told to hurry up out of the line when we were in the middle of politely inquiring for information on other sites that serve our category. We also queued in line like everyone else, and it’s not as though we were trying to cheat the system or like wasting our time off.

I had COVID testing done for my daughter here because online said it would take 24-72 hours. Here I am 5 days later and no results! When I call it's all automated and the one time I did speak with a representative she stated the test had been mailed. My daughter was sent home to be tested per the School district so she's just out of school until I find somewhere else to take a test or keep waiting! At this point , she no longer even has a cough! Disappointed ☹️

We went to the S. Meadow Pharmacy in Ithaca for our 1st dose of the vaccine. I made appts. for my husband and I online. When we arrived (on time) there were a lot of forms to fill out, which I didn't mind, but then we waited 20 minutes before we were called and they didn't even call us in order of our appointment times. Lastly, no one checked on us for our 15 wait time afterwards, so we just left. This pharmacy is extremely unorganized and very unprofessional.

I went in to have photos printed. The staff member was so helpful and friendly. He was very patient with me as I had no idea what I was doing. Thank you for helping me make a present, for my host, during my vacation.

My first ever experience at the Walgreens Pharmacy on Meadow St. Ithaca, NY was EXTREMELY horrible. In that when I had asked for my refillable prescription that was transferred over from the Green St. Pharmacy (which closed its doors in December into early last month), they had told me that the pharmacy in December had filed 3 prescriptions already even though I had ONLY received one in which I had told the two female pharmacists working there about 2-3 times which was VERY annoying. Not only that they also told me that because of the "already given to me" remaining packs of my prescription from Green St. Pharmacy, that the insurance company itself wouldn't be able to pay it UNTIL the END of this month (February 2021). And that the "remaining packs of my prescription" must be "around my house somewhere" even though I already again told them that I had only received one. On top of that the two female pharmacists attending to my prescription needs then told me that if I were to get my refillable prescription that I would need to get my insurance to override the already filed 3 pack prescription from December or pay $81.36 for the prescription and that there was NOTHING else they could do about it. Making me feel VERY stressed and frustrated to the point where I almost wanted to cause a scene by breaking down.-Which not only made me almost late for my weekly Friday appointment downtown but VERY screwed for the next week and almost month, It was simply the worst (but thankfully after a long call to my insurance to override the already billed 3 pack prescriptions from December it finally got overridden...but about 2-3 hours later...).

This used to be a reliable pharmacy when the store was part of the Rite-Aid chain, but since it’s been take over by Walgreens, it’s become inefficient, understaffed, and repeatedly frustrating. I ordered refills of three prescriptions yesterday, was told they’d be ready by 10 this morning, drove to the window, asked for the medicines, and was informed I’d have to come back. When I got home, found my phone cluttered with a text message and a voicemail saying the medicines were waiting for me.If you can find another pharmacy ... do. It can’t be worse than Walgreens.

I am eligible to receive the COVID vaccine and made an appointment online on the Walgreens website. When I wanted to register for the vaccination I was told that I am not eligible, although I had all the necessary documents at hand. If the service at Walgreens does not consider me as eligible I wonder why I was able to register and make an appointment in the first place. Very unpleasant waste of time.

I figured I'd write this in the hopes that it will warn others not to bother with Covid testing at Walgreens. I was excited that they had drive through testing in Ithaca and it was easy to make a same day appointment online, so I guess that's a plus. I waited awhile behind just one other car but taking the test was pretty easy (self-test). I took the test on Saturday at a little after 4 pm. It said on the website and on the paperwork I was given that samples would be overnighted to the lab and results would come within 72 hours. It did say that samples taken on Saturday and Sunday might be delayed beyond next day delivery. My issue is that it is now Tuesday afternoon and it will be soon be 72 hours since I took the test and the sample hasn't even been received in the lab! They need to be honest when you take the test on a weekend that it's basically the same as taking it on a Monday. They need to clearly state that it's 72 hours IN BUSINESS DAYS. I'm angry because my life is on hold and I could have had this test and gotten the results back by now if I'd used another local testing site (Wellnow and the mall sampling site have ALWAYS given either same day or at least next day results for me and NEVER longer than 36 hours)! BEWARE OF COVID TESTING AT ITHACA WALGREENS!

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The staff is rude and will hang up on you in the middle of your sentence. I asked them a request and they said they were too busy with other customers. Expect to be on hold for at least 15-20 minutes each time you call the store. A complete customer service nightmare.

Called early about refills. Got robocall refills were ready. Came in and only partial was ready. Was told half hour. Was berated and condenscended by pharmacy clerk Krystal and was yelled at by yhe overworked pharmacist about her being the only one here. Pharmacist provessed other orders for backstovk while I waited for mine.

Mostly a quick and easy COVID testing drive through, however they DO NOT ship out COVID tests on the weekend. If you're looking to get it within the 72 hour window of traveling DO NOT go there on the weekend, only weekdays.

This pharmacy was horrible as rite aid but has become completely disfunctional since its change to Walgreens. Prescriptions are never ready when you are told they will be, the autofill service is never prepared when you get there and the insurance coverage is always messed up

I use the mobile app and drive through only. It appears that the store has resumed regular shopping access.On occasion my prescription has been delayed due to lack of stock. This is typically remedied in 1-2 days.

Worst pharmacy experience. Staff is not helpful and won’t go out of they’re way to provide assistance. I am having trouble refilling a critical prescription and each person I speak with provides a different reason as to why they can’t help. Don’t waste your time.

On March 31 I accidentally bought an Ithaca Journal newspaper dated March 20. When I called to speak to the manager she said, "We don't sell out of date newspapers here."
