I'm not sure on the logistics whether it be under staffing or what but I have nothing but issues with the pharmacy. The staff are always very short and rude in person or on the phone. I'm not notified of issues with my prescriptions and they just sit pending for days. When I call I'm on hold for ten minutes at a time to only be greeted rudely when someone does answer. It's unprovoked, I'm only trying to get information and they are just so nasty on the phone. It's in a convenient location but I will be switching pharmacies due to the unprofessionalism.

Have had nothing but good interactions with the people working there, the pharmacy is just tragically understaffed and has been for more than a year now. This is a corporate problem, not the fault of the people who work there. It's almost always painful to pick up a prescription. They've had a ceiling leak draining into a trap and through a tube from the ceiling into a roller garbage bin for like a month or more now right in the middle of the store. They had to close for a whole day with no notice because they had no pharmacists available. The store is struggling.

Pharmacy is never on time with any prescriptions. They'll have it in their system for 4 days and not bother getting it ready. No matter what, it's a 10 minute wait when you walk in because only then they start to get it ready.

It is hard to believe how something as important as a pharmacy can be so disorganized. My doctor sent over a prescription, Walgreens notified me it was ready, when I arrived they couldn't find the prescription. I had to have my doctor resend the prescription, which resulted in a 3 day delay to obtain it.

I do not recommend filling prescriptions at this pharmacy. They are understaffed to the point of complete unreliability.I spent over an hour on hold on the phone to confirm that my medication is in stock and would be ready on Dec 23rd. However, when I arrived on Dec 23rd, the pharmacy was closed and I was unable to transfer my prescription.This is the 3rd time that I have experienced significant issues filling prescriptions at this location, and I do not intend to give them any business in the future despite the fact that their location is extremely convenient for me.

I gave 2 stars because I never experienced a 90-min-wait time to pick up a prescription. The staff and pharmacists are very kind. But this Walgreens needs to consider hiring more people and improving efficiency. The pharmacists need to be more familiar with the computer system as well as the filling process, too. Spending 90 minutes phoning my insurance/doctor/previous pharmacy and watching my prescription being processed among hundreds of other prescriptions —— is not an enjoyable experience. People tried to help, tho. Worth 2 stars.

Me and my brother were doing a quick doordash pickup for some popcorn, but the older white lady manager that was working at the time went out of her way to follow us around to see if we were stealing… didn’t bother checking on the other white shoppers… 😒

Last week i had my doc send in a script that I needed soon but had ran out of refills. Walgreens called Friday to let me know it’s ready, I told them that I wouldn’t be in til early next week because I was already out of town. Tuesday I ran over there on my lunchbreak and after saying they didn’t have one for me, the pharmacy said they reshelved it already and could remake it if I wait(do you not have one for me, or did you reshelve it?) I told them I’d be back later or the next day and she said ok, it’s the next day same time, and the pharmacy is closed. Corporate needs to hire more pharmacists or whatever, seems like staffing would be the only reason to have random weekdays closed. Not the first time I got there to find they were just closed up when they shouldn’t be.

since this business became Walgreen's I have had endless problems getting prescriptions filled in a timely manner. I have been told that the Walgreen's automatic refill system is 'much more advanced than Rite Aid's' but I cannot get refills managed through their computer reminder system. It has been up to me to call for refills, call my physician's office for a prescription renewal, etc. I have discussed this problem with the pharmacy manager to no avail. I'm changing pharmacies.

I've been a customer of the Rite Aid on Pine Tree Road in Ithaca for over 15 years. They do their jobs well, they are kind and they are thorough. Whenever there has been an issue with my medication, be it insurance or an issue with the prescription my doctor wrote, they are on the phone doing everything they can to get me what I need. I appreciate the staff at this pharmacy which is why, even though I no longer live as close to it as I used to, I remain their customer.

I do not recommend using their pharmacy. It's understaffed and very difficult to call into. I've been on phone twice today just listening to their music. The first hold was 15 minutes. My current hold time is approaching 20 minutes.

Horrible photo card printing but other than that, it is a nice store. I tried printing Christmas cards - I ordered online to pickup in store and it looked great online but when I received the prints they were blurry on the photos and the text! It just looked of WAY less quality than it did online. There is obviously some quality issue in their printing. Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else for printing services. Luckily I got a refund here because the manager said there was nothing to do to make it better (choosing a different card type, etc.)

I learned a new thing today because of this pharmacy: You must MAKE PHARMACISTS COUNT YOUR PRESCRIPTION IN FRONT OF YOU BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE! Or else they might short you by giving you exactly half of the pills you paid for, then insist the mistake was on your end when you call to solve the issue. Unreal. Being gaslighted by your pharmacy is a depressing and frustrating experience.

Overpriced and uncomfortably organized. Had trouble finding what I needed. The cashier was sweet and made conversation with me both times I went in. However I won't be back. Definitely not worth the near $80 I spent on flu supplies and the hour I spent looking for them.

Not sure why there are such negative reviews. Have only had positive experiences with this location, helpful staff and very efficient pharmacy. Glad to make this my go-to spot

Don’t have any of your life saving medicine sent here. They decide just to close when they want. Then have you hold on the phone for roughly 5 minutes just to hang up on you.

Every time I go to the pharmacy the customer service ppl are incredibly rude. I have tried over and over again to make excuses for them (they are busy, maybe they are having a bad day, etc) but it has gotten to the point where there are no more excuses they are just RUDE. I have tried to have my prescription transferred to a different pharmacy but apparently this is too much trouble for them.

Seeking otc product. Called Rite Aid downtown Ithaca. They no longer carried what I sought. Also informed me that they were no longer "Rite Aid". Now they are "Walgreens". So they are being acquired.Called the East Hill Store. They were still Rite Aid. When I told the douche bag on the other end of the line that it was a relief to hear they were still rite aide, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!They must all be headed for the unemployment lines. Glad for the heads up. I'll be more careful now. Bring my business to Wegman's. Of course. They know how to treat customers.

Repeatedly hung up on me (4 times) for absolutely no reason at 710 PM on a Wednesday night in the summer. Just want to see if something's ready before I drive across town only to wait for another thirty minutes there because you were too rude to pick up the phone and answer. On the plus side, you can buy stamps in the drive-through. On the down side, it is July and they gave me a packet of Christmas stamps, which I discovered at home. Not exactly timely (not to mention the assumption that, religion-wise, these would be appropriate).

This Rite Aid has been the neighborhood pharmacy for years. They are busy and sometimes there are miscommunications with called in prescriptions, but on the whole they have been a good and reliable pharmacy over time.

Worst experience with photo center. Went to take passport photo and person who took photo was very rude and does not bother to ask if click was good. On requesting to cut it in 2*2 size, he gave a weird look. He printed photo & sealed it, later we found it blurred.

Very bad experience with this people...had very high fever and made me wait forever even though I told them that I was getting late for work. No one seem to care. Had to leave with out my medicine.

The pharmacy is closed on Saturday, when I need it. Why a pharmacy would close on Saturday? Totally useless.
