Prices on certain things are questionable for a thrift store, however overall, it's a decent thrift store. I was able to thrift a coffee table and an endstand to refurbish for our home renovation. I definitely walked out with a large purchase of books and picture frames too. I'll definitely visit again as I've now been twice.

It’s a very clean shop, very big, and a wide selection. Problem is, the girls working there are extremely rude and judgmental. It was my first time the other day and I came in hoping to find some good plus size attire. I’m not expecting them to carry my size, but I was hopeful, so I asked the lady if there was a plus section or just everything mixed in, she looked me up and down and said we don’t carry plus size or in your case LARGE sizes you’ll need to go to Walmart, maybe they won’t carry your size there either. Granted I’m a 1x. I was in shock. I walked out and felt extremely embarrassed by the situation. Never again.

Today, the male working the check-out refused to call up the manager about discounts when the items clearly had issues with them. He agreed to discount the items, but when he rang up the cost there was no discount applied. I then pointed out that there was no discount applied after he said he would (which he did just to shut me up), and started to fight me on this. This narcissistic behavior was unacceptable, and by this time I asked for the manager twice. This is also the first negative review I’ve given. I would be happy to change this review if I talk with a manager. I’m waiting for a response.

Wow, this store is quite the gem. My experience with the thrifty shopper has been nothing but good. The store has an extensive selection of female apearal. They have little diamonds in the sand if you know what to look for. Sales are common place and the staff is friendly. I have almost always walked out feeling like I did well. I recommend thrifty shopper to anyone who doesn't mind second hands.

I recently visited Thrifty Shopper for the first time to make a donation. When I approached the desk and explained that it was my first time, I inquired about where to place my donations and whether they needed to view them directly (as in they go through them and take what they want). The staff member's reaction was quite unfriendly, as she appeared annoyed by my question and interrupted conversation. Despite being the only person in line, I felt a bit discouraged by the experience.

I have been going here for years, and it had always been hit or miss. Most staff had been great and there had always been the possibility of walking away with a good "find." However, they often get more donations than they usually seem they can handle, and can never seem to decide if it's okay for customers to go through the donation piles that fill a good portion of the opening to the store.They do make it easy to donate your stuff, but just be aware of the possibility that your donations may end up in the dumpsters out back if they are particularly overwhelmed. If you're not okay with that, then better to donate elsewhere.They keep junky stuff on the shelves too long - it would make sense for them to go through that more often and throw things away, rather than new stuff that is probably better and more likely to sell.The last few months, things are worse than usual. Relatively new staff is rude and condescending to customers. Same new staff is probably the reason for a drastic shift in pricing for anything that isn't junk. Prices are downright silly now, so there isn't much of a reason to go anymore.

Had a very negative experience. The staff were unnecessarily rude and unhelpful, refused to answer simple questions about when items would be available. Not sure why some people choose not to be kind, especially when it would have been so easy...a little bit of kindness goes a long way!

although they have a very wide selection for a thrift store - and i’ve found some gems from here multiple times the staff here are always extremely rude and it almost feels like they find you as an annoyance .. it makes shopping here fine until you get to the counter or have a simple question to ask , i’ll most likely find another thrift store to shop at for awhile until staff gets replaced and or the manager gets them in check - it costs nothing to be kind !!!

The staff are so friendly and appropriate. Always enjoy my trip to this shop. Donations appear to be down, probably because it's yard sale season. Shop is neat and clean with a lot of selections from children to adult. At least I have never seen the workers buying items out of the back room like I did earlier at the Salvation Army across the street. Wasn't happy to witness that.

They have a large womens selection of clothing and is organized between dresses, athletic, shoes, shorts, hats...etc. Mens and babies section is a bit smaller. They have dressing rooms here. I'm not sure if there is a restroom. Parking lot is huge and even when it is crowded I've never struggled to find a spot. The workers don't bother you but are incredibly nice. I spent 2 hours here going in and out of the dressing room and they had no problem lol. There is also a decently sized section for objects and items that aren't clothing related. The prices are quite cheap in the large section in the front store then get a little higher towards the middle where they have the dresses hanging. This store is my favorite to get clothes

They had decent clothing for sale, nothing really my size surprisingly. But I found a vintage board game still intact for $5. The employee was kind too and I got rang up fast. I do recommend coming here because they tend to have items discounted every week.

My absolute favorite place to go to get used clothing! The staff are always extremely friendly! The clothing is mainly in great condition for a used clothing store! Some prices are a bit high for my liking, but in general, thrifty shopper is a 10/10 in my book! I highly recommend!

The hours of business are bad but they do a good job of filing the shelves. The store looks good. The prices are getting too high though. I used to fill. a cart when I went shopping, now I don't. Too bad because I like to shop.

There's always something new to discover here! The items are obviously going to be second hand, but that usually does not stop me from finding great products at great prices. They always have a very large selection whether you're looking for clothing, electronics, toys, lamps, Blu-ray discs and much more! They also have a fitting room so that you can try before you buy. (Clothes that is)

This is a nice local (Syracuse/Ithaca/Binghamton) nonprofit that runs homeless shelters. I far prefer donating goods to them, as opposed to a certain other organization that spends its money on national lobbying for socially conservative political causes. Thrifty Shopper / Rescue Mission are just straight-up helping people. And, I've purchased a number of very nice shirts and pairs of pants here. Everything always seems quite clean and well-organized. Staff are friendly and easy going.

Awesome clothes/shoes and home goods at sweet prices. Tuesday seniors and veterans save 25%, Thursday college students save 25%. Open til 9 M-Sat, open til 6 on Sundays. Accepting donations. Proceeds fund the local homeless shelter. Everybody wins!

Unfortunately rude. Did some spring cleaning and gathered two full trash bags of clothes to donate. Had my friend drive me, because as a college kid its not easy to navigate without a car or bus, and when I arrived, both associates were rude and would not accept my bags because it was too close to closing. They refused to even just keep them in the building, or the bin where other bags were dropped off! So rude. We had to drive back with the clothes we tried to DONATE . Their slogan is "we need your donations" yet turned down two full bags of good clothes!Sorry but it was unacceptable.

Purchased a child's ride on toy that was sold to me with the wrong charger. I made sure if it didnt work, that I could return it. I came in today to return the broken toy, and was told I could only make an exchange. Asked if I could just have store credit as I had to get to work, and the rude old woman told me no. Here I am quickly searching the store for something worth buying so I can exchange this broken toy. Will not be back to this thrift store.
