I love second hand places, you never know what you'll find! I have to add however that this particular visit was something I wasn't thrilled with. It was getting close to closing time, which was announced several times within the last 1/2 hr. Then with a line of 8-10 customers, me being 3rd , it was announced that the lights would be turned off in 2 minutes! I actually turned and asked the person behind me if they thought everyone was going to be left in the dark, and if so how were we going to be checked out? They wondered the same thing. I got out before the lights went out, so idk what happened after that!I also want to say that I've purchased A LOT of things from this place over the years, although sometimes not something I'd like to have because the prices are somewhat ridiculous on alot of stuff! But on the other hand, I have gotten things real inexpensive knowing they were definitely worth more! So it's a choice of how much you want something and how much you want to pay.Another thing I'd like to mention, I've never liked the way clothes are divided by color rather than size! If you're looking for a specific size in a certain color it can take a very long time to go through to see if you can find the size you're looking for!

I love the store been shopping here for years only thing is the ppl that work here r very rude, mean.. They have no customer service skills and this is a place that's owned operated by the lord but to have ppl like they have running it is not OK the lord wouldn't want ppl like that . every one that walks through there doors r judged and looked at as a criminal because of a few other in the community that r homeless the workers have no understanding nor composition for other humans not everyone lives in greatness everyone has struggles some worse then others. Its sad that ppl represent our lord in that kind of manner.

The hours of operation at the time of this writing are : 9AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Saturday! But and a big but.... If you're looking to make a donation, and you have a car load of stuff, and you drive to the back of the building.... you have to make their drop off window of between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Mon through Saturday. Not very convenient for a professional working 9 to 5 in my opinion!Their donation hours are not the same as their store hours! If you don't make that window, you will be taking that car load of donations right back home with you !And if the thought crosses your mind to just leave the donation just outside the locked door, for them to pick up in the morning......that is considered dumping and you may be prosecuted! You are risking that your donation may be stolen any way over night as well. What ever happened to those large red over flowing donation bins you would see in different parking lots?

Wow this Salvation Army store use to be great. While they do have a large selection, their prices have gotten crazy. Used shoes for 39.99, used jeans ranging from 9.99 to 12.99. At this point it’s definitely cheaper to go to Marshalls or TJ Max and just buy new. The “brand” pricing at almost all local thrift stores has become a real bummer for people on a budget, or people that cannot afford new name brand more expensive items that in the past, could be found at thrift stores for reasonable amounts of money. I will not return to this store. Save your money and buy new!

Hit or miss. Can potentially find a great deal but sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to the pricing. Enjoy frequent browsing and can find some great items!

Good store. Large selection of clothes and TONS of books. I have heard bad things about the workers but as long as you're nice to them, they'll be nice to you (at least in my experience). I feel like the clothes should be sorted by size instead of color, but other than that, it's good.

I didn't know you can drop off donations until a certain time but the employee allowed me to leave my donations. The employees that day were nice, and the store was organized too. But recently when I came in to drop off some more clothes and toys, the lady was rude and unhelpful. I'll still probably come in to donate but still, you shouldn't be rude to those that come in.

Did not purchase today, but have shopped here before. Furniture is a little overpriced if you don't hit a discounted sticker day. Have gotten some good deals and had some nice finds otherwise. Staff is usually fairly friendly.

A woman I assume was a supervisor gave me a hard time when I was dropping off donated items of miscellaneous content. I don't feel she acted professionally. Before she came outside, I was carrying a box in to the drop-off entry and a worker came out and took the box from me and said he'd carry it in for me and then proceeded to take each box from me. I did not ask for his help. When she came outside she told me (in a reprimanding tone) I had to take the boxes in myself. Then she refused the final box because she said they can't accept textbooks. I told her there weren't any textbooks in it. She said "there's a math book right there". The "math book" she was referring to was a book entitled "Inside the Apple Macintosh". She told me to take them to a different place to donate them. She did not offer a listing of what the Salvation Army does and does not accept. I brought them home with me. I Googled the "math book". Found out one copy was available for sale at a price of $73.49. My book is going on Marketplace! Future donations will not go to the Salvation Army.

I'm from Niagara Falls, NY. I'm "FREQUENTLY" shop in thrift stores in my home town and when traveling. I was shopping In the Ithaca Salvation Army while traveling and was interested in purchasing a woman's "Santa style dress" on a manican near the fitting room. I got the attention of the sales woman at the cash register and told her I'd like to buy it. She came over and very RUDELY said "If it doesn't have a tag on it..its not for sale..and it part of our holiday display..were not permitted to sell it". I have purchased NUMEROUS things on manicans in thrift stores. The PURPOSE OF A THRIFT STORE IS TO SELL DONATED ITEMS YO SUPPORT THE PEOPLE ITS SUPPOSED TO HELP...am I not correct? And I told her I've been looking for a dress for a holiday event and that one would be perfect..she Refused to even ask a manager. Im so annoyed! I've never been treated so rudely in a store, or been denied to purchase an item that was meant to be sold. I truly feel that dress should be taken off that manican and mailed to me.

Who doesn't like the Salvation army!? It's fun to see what the color of the day is and how many items you can get for half off! Went looking for fireplace tools and ended up with other great finds for little or nothing! They always have affordable prices, even on the furniture and appliances.

If you are hoping to run into a self entitled Karen in the wild? Then this is the store for you. Over the years their staff has just gotten worst. If you really want to shop a second hand store or make a donation to? I suggest the Thrifty Shopper across the street. They are smaller but their staff is so much nicer and not self entitled Kerens looking for something to complain about.

Employees appear to have first dibs on items. This was not the first time they came from the back room to the register and told woman at register a price to ring her up for as she took cash from her VERA Bradley Chang purse. I guess they don't shop like the rest of us, on the floor and not from the donations in the back room they sort and price, real fair. Huh.

I used to love coming to the Salvation Army! I unfortunately have stopped going due to the fact that all the items within the store are DONATED and then the Salvation Army marks items for outrageous prices! For example: a USED Columbia sweatshirt that had three holes in it and many stains was marked for $25!!!! You can go to Plato’s Closet & get a brand new with tags Columbia sweatshirt without the holes & stains for the SAME price.....Also, don’t try to sell items that have these flaws within them for a crazy and ridiculous price....

Some items way over priced- it seems the staff looks up what some items are selling for online and prices them at the highest dollar. The organization is supposed to help low income families with affordable products. Sometimes its priced like an antique store in there!

Great used items at super low prices. Their used clothes are clean and in good condition. Furniture selection changes frequently. Very friendly and helpful.

I have been to a ton of Salvys, and this one is below the mark. I understand the clothes aren't ever washed before going out on the shelves at any Salvation Army, but these are just plain dirty. I have found a few cool knick knack type items here though. Cheap place to find candles!

Pricing is usually not very good for goods that were donated. Usually you can find a little of everything here, plus everytime you go, you'll find something different. Staff is usually friendly and willing to help. Nothing you buy is guaranteed, you can only exchange it, so be sure you want to buy an item before you get it.
