Great place for delicious and reasonably priced ice cream and ice cream treats. The one gripe I have (which understandable, but I still would like to see change) is no options for bringing your own container for sundaes/flurries/milkshakes and no reusables for consumption on the premises.Dietary restrictions: Dairy free options available

Great quality and great on a hot day! Variety of flavors, with chocolate, cherry, and another kind of dip for the soft serve. Would recommend!

Regular customer. Checked the hours on the website before driving in. "great, open till 9pm,i have time to get there". Pull up 6 mins before closing. Lights still on inside and out and customers in the parking lot eating ice cream. And they just turned away 2 customers. Literally saw us walking up, closed and locked the windows and closed the shades. Even knocked on the window and showed them my phone showing they were closing at 8:54pm. And 2 more customers walked up and were turned away while I was trying to get their attention!! To add insult to injury, while they were slamming the window in my face, they put out a wooden sign showing their hours were till 9pm :(Disappointing.

Soft serve only. They also make soft serve sundaes and 'blizzards.' Tasty for what it is and very affordable. I prefer scoopable ice cream but if you're into soft serve, this is a nice spot.

I absolutely love going to Sweet Melissa's for delicious soft serve ice cream. I live in Dallas and come home every July for a visit. One of my favorite places to visit every year is Sweet Mellisa's Ice Cream with friends.

While there was a patio and a sign that suggested seating, no outdoor furniture to sit on. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon of Labor Day weekend.Since there was no place to sit and I was the driver, I chose a milkshake. It was ok. I make better milkshakes at home. There was nothing wrong with it but also nothing special about it.

Loved the lemon ricotta (hard) ice cream with chocolate dip! Cash only, no seating on the premises. If you can't make it during their limited open hours, they also sell pints at the deli next door.

Sure, it’s a pretty basic looking spot but you could tell it would be good with all the people in the parking lot enjoying their icecream. Cash only—we all got soft serve and it was so good.

I'm sure you've had ice cream, but you've never had this ice cream. As the locals know (and pretty much everyone now) the hard serve is where things really get interesting. I won't knock a classic cherry dipped vanilla soft served though. Melissa hand makes the hard flavors every day and every day they are different. Honeycomb is definitely my favorite flavor, but I could eat any of them and be satisfied. The staff at the window is generous with their servings. Melissa and her family run a stellar establishment and it is infinitely superior to Purity. #sweetstopwall for life!

Sweet Melissa's serves up the best soft serve I have had. There's just something special about it. They have vegan ice cream and their own home made hard ice cream plus your usual fair such as sundaes, milkshakes and flurries. It I always packed here on a sunny day. They have a cute child made mural on the fence and four picnic tables, a bench and planter lining for seating. Reasonably priced and shaded by the picnic table umbrellas. Great spot to stop in and walk around or take a load off and enjoy there tasty treats! They opened a new location with more flavors to enjoy in Press Bay Alley.

Everyone thinks of Purity when they come into Ithaca, but the locals have figured out that Sweet Melissa's is one of the best places in town. If you're looking for soft serve, it's my favorite place. It's cash only. That's something to keep in mind, but well worth it for fast service and good ice cream.

Sweet Melissas is the spot!! Melissa is awesome and the ice cream never disappoints. It’s the perfect place to go to after a hot day of swimming in the waterfalls.

Mostly soft serve ice creams, they do have a few hard flavors. Will executed flavors, though nothing that I would say is really interesting or innovative. Really liked everything we tried and reasonable prices. Would recommend.

Very uncool. My three (black) friends and I arrived 755 to order ice cream. Benches filled with people eating ice cream cones. Posted closed 9 pm. Told me he had to go. He was closed. Cash only business couldn't scoop 3 more cones. Shame on you!! 4 people ..not 1 couldn't serve us. Update your Google business listing..it reads 9 pm. Closing 65 minutes early. Meannnniiieee!!UPDATE in Response to Owner's Reply: Pathetic denial. There were a dozen people eating on the bench. We approached the window and you closed it in our face. I knocked on the door - and four people counting money , a bit of cleaning- asked personally if you could scoop a few more cones (noting we were from out of town and so excited that you served vegan ice-cream) and told sorry we are closed. I specifically said- it's five minutes to eight and your Google Business listing says you are closing at 9 pm. Two more young woman also arrived- SUCH RUDENESS. Own it- apologize-you messed up- you could have scooped a few more cones- but instead your man with a beard says - sorry I have to go. AND UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE LISTING-- it's not hard- as a business owner myself- we are emailed from Google to update holiday hours. That's not the point- you closed the window in our faces as we approached your counter. I would never return to your business. Ice-cream should be a happy thing- and on the holiday-- who closes a window in a customer's face-- you do! Bitter customer service - and you can't just say you're sorry for what happened?

Wow. Amazing ice cream. I had the Earl Grey and Oreo ice cream. It was truly amazing. They also have soft serve ice cream and you can get it dipped in cherry sauce and all of that, like at DQ. Of course there are numerous ice cream flavors to choose from and sundaes and shakes, and slushes. Just want to make it clear..this place beats Purity. It is WAY better than Purity, and much more reasonably priced. All ice cream places should be like this. Seriously, go here for ice cream if you're in Ithaca, skip Purity!! This place and Cornell Dairy are the best.

It's one of the few places you can get soft serve in Ithaca. Soft serve is kind of the same everywhere you go so I would not say it is outstanding. But for soft serve fans like myself, its def worth a weekly visit. Don't forget your punch card!

Quick and easy stop. Berry twist and orange vanilla twist we’re great. They have benches and it’s easy to grab a cone and go for a walk with the dog. We ended up getting coffee from the deli just down the block. Quick and easy pit stop.
