Roto-Rooter of Ithaca and Cortland (owned and run by Kyle) is one of my favorite businesses to work with, and I highly recommend their services.First, Kyle responds quickly, offers guidance over the phone, and uses modern scheduling, invoicing, and payment software. The two separate times Kyle worked with me were amazing. He is very communicative, reliable, and does a great job in an efficient way. So, services all around - excellent.But it's my second point that seals the deal in recommending this business: Kyle is an incredible human being. Honest, upfront, conscientious, and a thinker: he analyzes things and shares the workings of his mind in a spirit of transparency for the customer. Most notably, when my elderly parents came to visit, Kyle was there when we drove up with their luggage. He helped them out of the car and carried their luggage into the house. This is a person who makes the world a better place.

All the 5 star ratings are deserved - I can't recommend these guys enough! They're honest and affordable, locally owned, and they've saved me twice in the past two months!I bought a house a few months ago and wanted a camera sewer line inspection. The home inspector recommended Roto-Rooter and they came right out a couple days before Christmas. An issue was found and we needed the homeowners to sign off on clearing the pipe. Kyle was able to come back and do it very quickly.I was already in the process of getting a quote from HALCO for tankless water heaters to replace a 30 year old 75 gallon water heater. But HALCO and I couldn't agree on the design or price, so I contacted Kyle from Roto-Rooter again. He walked me through a great design while also taking note of several issues that HALCO hadn't mentioned. The price was what we expected, so he ordered and prebuilt the unit. The night before installation we sprung a leak on our main water shut-off. I emailed him, he said no problem! And was able to repair it the same day as the water heater installation. Phew!PLUS, while he was installing our new water heater I was upstairs fumbling over what should have been an easy compression valve replacement for an ice maker line under my sink. Only the pipe size wasn't standard and ACE and HEP couldn't help me after multiple frustrating trips. At the end of the day - and near my wit's end - I asked Kyle to take a look. He walked me through a simple alternative approach and even wrote me out a part list! I was able to do the work that night.These guys know what they're doing, charge a reasonable rate, and you can trust them to do what you actually need done - and not try to sell you on more. Highly recommended!!

These guys are great. Spent 4 hours in/out in the rain, had two toilets off and back on. Owner stopped by and pitched in with repairs and clean up. Left my business in good shape. Never complained about how difficult it was and stuck with original quote. Highly recommend!

I called my plumber about clogged kitchen drain. He recommended I call Roto-Rooters, Kyle promptly responded that afternoon. He was very professional, knowledgeable and genuinely a good man. Had what turned out to be a very complicated problem for an elderly relative, 2,000 miles away. Stressful to say the least. But the plumber I spoke on the phone with, Kyle, was amazing. He figured out the issue quickly, and then called me back to tell me what the cost would be. He explained in detail what he needed to do, and was upfront on exact cost. The guys were super nice and unclogged my drain quickly. I had been left with a backed up septic on ChristmasAuhanahie came first and blew out my drain pipes, pulled up toilet nd left before the clog was cleared and didn't reinstall wax ring and charged me over $400. (they wanted $700)Roto Rooter was done in 20 minutes and the work is guaranteed for 6 months.They were very professional and knowledgable. I will probably be using them for my water softener installation.

Just bought new house, first load of laundry drained into bathtub along with who knows what else was stuck in the drain (shared with toilet, yuck!). RR was able to schedule right away. They accurately diagnosed the issue (clogged sewer line) and found the problem (a flushed wash cloth!). Everything is draining great!
