GREAT patty melts good looooooord they were so good. The house/secret sauce is a little bit smoky (smoked paprika or Cajun seasoning perhaps?). Very light, though, which worked well with the patty melts.My bf loved the chicken nuggets but we both thought they were super salty and I thought the breading was too hard and too thick. The fries themselves were fine (kind of like Five Guys style lol), but were perfect with the bacon and cheese.We got a pint of ice cream and ice cream cookies to go, but must’ve grabbed the wrong flavor for the pint. It wasn’t my thing. The ice cream cookies were good though!Food: 5 stars obviouslyService: 4 stars, was a little slow even though there wasn’t a line at all (we didn’t come during peak hours) and there weren’t too many people there to begin with (and to that point, most of the people there were waiting for ice cream).Atmosphere: 4 stars, very much a family spot (kids) but not too diligently cleaned.Kid-friendliness: Mostly families with their kids

Puritan Ice Cream Shop, never heard of it coming from Manhattan, but when we visited it, it is a very historic place going back to the 1940s I believe.Tons and tons of choices of toppings, muffins, ice cream, pies as well as food options such as hamburgers and fries; but their deserts is the main prize here.Staff is super friendly and efficient too.

Had to stop in here while visiting Ithaca - as its a famous local spot! Super cute ice cream parlor! It was busy on a Saturday night & the wait wasn’t bad at all!We came for the vegan ice cream. Got the dark chocolate with Oreo topping. Not sure what “base” they use for vegan but it was good! Creamy & delicious! Lots of outdoor & indoor seating. One block over is the waterfront so we enjoyed our icecream then went for a walk!

First time here! No doubt their ice cream is fabulous and better than any i have had at a shop or in store. They were also very busy but managed. I got the chocolate peanut butter, there wasn’t really that much peanut butter in it but the ice cream itself was a great flavor. I also got the chocolate chip cookie dough which was better than choc PB, rich, smooth flavor and the cookie dough itself was just different in the best way possible, only downside was there was about 3 cookie dough pieces. Overall, choc PB was a 8.2 and the choc cookie dough was a 9.3 in my book. One bite everyone knows the rules.

Had icecream and took some home. Had a mocha latte, it wasn't hot. And chocolate chip cookie was yummy. Next time I will request to warm the cookie. Professional and polite staff. They were cleaning up as well. Parking lot has space. Convenient location. Restroom facilities all clean. Love the decor.Kid-friendliness: Kids were enjoying the ice cream. Cups and cones. Selection of milkshakes. Many yummy flavors. Cupcakes too.

Many ice cream flavors, not super creative or out of the box, the typical chocolate flavor variations and the rest- maple pecan, berry flavors etc. $14 for 2 scoops in a cone and another order of one scoop in a cup. Heavy ice cream, generous servings. It seems like the preferred hangout place for college students. The place was packed. One thing is that the seating place is not that clean. I was reluctant to even sit on the chairs by the tables.

Went here for a nice day with my family. Turned out to ruin my whole 2 days on educated employees. Tell me that certain ice cream is gluten-free. And I cannot have it without pretty much. Dying for 2 days. So so disappointing.. This place is horrible. They have vegan options for people. That just choose that life. But people that don't choose to have a gluten intolerance have to play the guessing game. How about marking some of your gluten-free options purity? You got enough money .should not be to hard ...I'm not the first person. This has happened to it's all over gluten websites that they lie and get people sick.

Great ice cream! Amazing selection of flavors and wide variety of their deserts. In the back they serve food too. Parking is easy peasy. The coffee flavors are really good. Hope this helps!

First time here but it won't be the last! We loved how easy it was to order- you can use a tablet and look through all the options, or you can order up at the counter if that's more your thing. They had SO many customizations you could make to your ice cream and burgers. The burger was hot and delicious, and so were the fries. The chicken nuggets are out of this world though. They hand make them and they came out piping hot and fresh. The ice cream could have its own 5 star review, it was equally as good!

Delicious. I got a sundae with chocolate cupcakes and two flavors. Happy trails was one! I also stopped by on my way out of town to grab dry ice, you can get some to go. Love that! Would return again and again if I was local, delicious ice cream spot and it's near Ithaca Bakery too

I went to purity for the first time the other day and will absolutely be returning! There was a very nice young man, Jack, who helped me, I can only assume he is a manager because of his great costumer service and leadership behind the counter when it got busy. I got the Black Cherry ice cream and is my new favorite! Highly recommend!

Service is extremely slow at 2:30pm on a Saturday even when ordering through a kiosk. The two staff I interacted with seemed very nice but they’ve got to be understaffed to have such long wait times. I got three scoops of ice cream to go for $9 with tax. The black cherry was very good, the salted caramel was ok and the pistachio was absolutely terrible. They were out of one flavor I ordered through the kiosk. My husband and son are still inside waiting for their hot foods.

Not quite a 4 star but better than a 3 star. Love the variety, the commitment to renewable energy and the retro vibe. The ice cream was both a good and not so good experience. Cookie dough after dark was delicious as expected but it’s a chocolate base not vanilla. The pistachio was very artificial tasting and looking. We couldn’t finish it which was a shame. It’s tough because you can’t see the actual ice-cream just the flavour names. Would have been able to avoid the pistachio issue if we were able to see the colour.

I had purity a couple times about 3 years ago but havent been back until this month (i live in california) I have DREAMED of this ice cream place, it has the best ice cream hands down! The bulldog crunch and the cookie dough after dark and the chocolate raspberry truffle and literally every flavor is so delicious. It is the perfect texture and so thick and creamy. I got purity every day of my 5 day stay in ithaca. The staff is super friendly as well. I DEFINITELY recommend eating here!

I had breakfast in Purity Ice Cream Co. in April. The weather was 47 F. Coffee is hot and tasty. Two eggs, scrambled is good. Potatoes are fine. Portions are not large which is good. Just enough for one. English muffins are exceptional and tasty. Service is fast. The place has speedy circulation, but it is not a fast food place. The location is great, very close to the river. No problem with parking.

Visiting from California and without a car, I walked 30 minutes into town from Cornell to get to Purity ice cream. And it was well worth it. I got the no sugar added marble fudge flavor in a waffle cone. Spectacular! The staff was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this ice cream shop. Hands down, the best ice cream in Ithaca, NY.

Fries chicken is really great! So are the sweet potato fries! I did feel they could have had more sweet potato fries in the order though! I didn’t have ice cream on this trip, but absolutely recommend getting ice cream when you’re there! Apparently they also have donuts now; could be worth a try!Parking: This place can get busy, so the parking can be limited in the main lot where the main entrance is. But I believe there’s some street parking close by.

Great ice cream shop! A must stop everytime we come down to hike the trails from Syracuse! So my flavors, shakes sundaes etc. Can be a little slow from so many people, by trust me, the wait is absolutely worth it! The green tea flavor ice cream is my favorite! Purity has been around for a long time, and for good reason. The amount of choices in flavors alone is astounding. They do have nondairy options, if needed. They have sundaes, shakes, and more. I love the Madigan Mint, Cookie Dough After Dark, and Sea Salt Caramel. They also have gourmet cones, ice cream sandwiches, and baked goods. I've never eaten at the restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
