Super excited about getting our new stove and absolutely love it. Service at Ithaca Stove Works was extremely disappointing. It started when asking for clarification on the size of the base, we were told different things by owner, owners wife and then the owner again. When install day came the base was not the right size and we were left scrambling. Stove was installed with leg adjustments at highest level so stove appeared to be floating, not the look we were going for and the draw was very poor. Crew came back out, adjusted the legs and explained why the draw was bad. Draw is extremely poor and the installers flat out lied to my wife.We will never buy a single thing from Ithaca Stove Works again. Pity.

They had wood stoves on their website that they no longer carry. It would be nice if they updated their website. Very friendly people in the store!

Sent a door off my pellet stove to be regasketed.. I’ve never seen such low grade work out of a business that has specialized in that line of work a long time.The door leaks air badly around the wrong type of gasket installed on the door… all they had to do is see what kind of gasket was on the door and should’ve known what they put on it was totally wrong.This pellet stove needs to seal up completely to run.It soots the glass completely black in 7-10 minutes after firing up and then it shuts down due to the massive air leaks around the door.They also installed all three pieces of glass upside down.. and the decorative trim falls off the door.I will never recommend ithaca stove works to anyone.Money spent lesson learned..!I’ll order the correct gasket from the manufacturer and replace there shoddy work myself… which I would have done myself but didn’t have the time.You can bet I’ll make time and fix it right the first time… Guaranteed..!

We purchased a home with an existing wood-burning fireplace, but was told the chimney was in disrepair and the fireplace should not be used. We contacted Ithaca Stove Works to inspect the chimney and see if it could be fixed. The fireplace was inspected at the end of October and we were told they would have to come back with a longer ladder to inspect the rest of the chimney. Apparently they forgot about us so I called and made another appointment for them to come back the week of Thanksgiving. The inspection was done and they said they would get back to us with a report. A couple more weeks went past and I still didn’t hear anything so I called and spoke to Tim. He said he would have to speak to the man who inspected the chimney and he would get back to me on the following Monday. Monday came and went, no call. I waited another couple of weeks and I went down to the store in person and the young lady at the counter found the folder with my name on it opened it up and it was empty. She looked a little dumbfounded and said she would have Tim call me on Monday. You guessed it, Monday came and went, no call. I don’t understand why my money doesn’t seem to be good enough for these people to repair our existing fireplace or to purchase an insert. We understand how much these things cost and we were willing to spend upwards of $5000+/- to have some kind of working fireplace in the house. Four months has now passed since we first contacted ISW and I guess our business isn’t wanted, but I sure would like to know why.

I found their service to be professional, courteous, and of high quality. I called them to help me with some issues with a residential gas fireplace and the person they sent did an excellent job not only fixing the issue, but taking time to explain and educate me about how to prevent it from happening again. This is "over and above" service in my opinion.They do schedule out quite a ways especially in fall and winter, so be sure to leave ample time to get an appointment!

Amazing! George arrived on time with drop clothes laid out to keep our home clean. I am new to wood burning stoves and George spent a lot of time with me going over everything from big to small. He was very knowledgable and a pleasure to speak with. George did a great job and it was money well spent. Thank you!

Today we had our fireplace and chimney cleaned and inspected by George at Ithaca Stove Works. George was on time, prepared the area to prevent unnecessary dust contamination of our living room, and thoroughly completed the order and cleaned up afterwards. George also explained the work he performed and the current condition of the fireplace. George did an excellent job and I can honestly recommend Ithaca Stove Works.
