My daughter and I planned a thrift trip to Ithaca, from an hour away. We were pretty excited to check out the Reuse Center, until we saw their prices. Used, beat up furniture should not carry price tags that high. After reading the comments here about electronics, I'm super thrilled I chose not to spend $30 on a used lamp here. The type of people they hire is a fantastic thing, but should not be a consumers only focus. I won't be returning to this store.

Two stars...I know, I know. It's just that when I go to a thrift store, I want thrift store prices. I don't mind paying more for quality stuff but sometimes things are in poor condition and priced high (and not because it's vintage). I have pulled dishes off the shelves to find them dirty... as in, looks like there's still food on them. Pretty gross. But sometimes I will find a decent gem and that's why I go back I guess. FWIW, the employees are great

This is probably one of the best second hand stores in at least three counties. The people who work here are great and very helpful. They have everything and then some.

My favorite place of all ..Another persons recycling is a new persons treasure . prices r great staff members r very amazing friendly caring great customer service I luv this shop . the reuse on triphammer rd just as great a few of there prices for clothing r very questionable. A couple staff members in the super reuse shop r rude and disrespectful but over all wonderful .

Prices are too high and quality too low. For the same price, you can buy new items at Dollar Tree, etc., and for a lower price you can buy similar quality items at Salvation Army.

Had a recent issue at ReUse that needed me to speak with the person in charge. I kept calling and leaving a message to no reply. Apparently they don't care about getting back to customers which is part of their job. And if you don't want to do your job then you shouldn't have it

Little high on price for being donations half of the time you can buy same item at Walmart for cheaper and it's new other things like speakers and fan fixtures are fair

Electronics are sketchy here. 'Powers on and appears functional' should be taken literally. If you think you're getting a deal then its probably not a deal. I have been purchasing electronics from thrift stores for many years and this is the first store that things regularly do not work at. Regularly. Remember, 'Powers on and appears functional' is to be taken literally. It only 'appears' functional. And someone should tell them its not a good thing to sell cheap non stick pans that are scratched up. The furniture and household items are their only strong suit.

Awesome thrift spot with a diverse staff that includes differently-abled and queer persons. This place is an awesome source for inexpensive furniture and dishes and the tag sales help a lot with bringing costs down. Everyone working there is super helpful and radically kind.

I have always loved ReUse, it's solid, there's always stuff to fill the need/want you have and often times what you find is just different enough from what you thought you wanted and then wind up having awesome things you didn't even know you needed. Become a member! It pays off big time its real timeat-the-register noticable differences. Hunt the Sticker Sales when you're there. Donate, buy. Be nice, even though a lot of times their counter people aren't. Friends with management and they have a LOT of work to do at all times so be nice. I'm headed there right now and I don't need anything really.Just go. Be nice.

I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I wonder if the people who complain about the staff are aware that ReUse has a training program for disabled people, and many people's disability shows as aloofness or awkwardness, rather than fawning over arrogant customers. I also really like to browse -- such a fun collection of reusable items!

Amazing organization; keeps so much great stuff out of landfills and allows folks to have a super bargain and super diverse shopping experience. Bring a little patience with you during popular shopping times. Setting up a new home, I've been here more times than I can count. Huge amounts of gratitude for reuse!!! 💜

Great prices, helpful staff and the store layout is GREAT! I prefer this location over the mega center. Any time we come to Ithaca, we bring items to donate through this store. My favorite thrift store!

So much to choose from to buy! Inexpensive. Great quality. Helpful, responsive, friendly staff. The work that goes into making this Center run smoothly takes a lot of care and patience. Opportunities to volunteer and learn. We are fortunate to have such a resource in our backyard! Thank you to all involved.

I just have to let everyone know that I have found the staff very helpful to me. If I have requested a lower price do to maybe a issue I have noticed they have always been reasonable. Last summer I was able to purchase most of the wood, windows and a door to build my "tiny house" plus nails and screws. I saved so much money and am so grateful to all the staff and the people that donated to make this possible. So much so that I am now considering building another one. Oh my!!!. Thank you again .

I Love this place! My daughter had NO furniture. We went to this reuse center and found what she needed. Plus a few extra things . I went back during that heat wave we had and got a kicking air conditioner, very reasonably priced.It is the luck of the draw, what they have is ever changing and they might not have what you are looking for..........or they might have exactly what you are looking for.

It's like a salvation army without clothes. Focused more on office furniture and supplies i.e. desk top monitors and mouses. They have a good tool selection too. For young kids I saw they had a pretty good selection of bicycles. Overall not a bad little Ithacan place of business.

Best place in Ithaca for used goods of most any kind. When they get an item of value, they mark the price according to the value. This helps keep the place afloat no doubt. They have some great goals for low income housing and specific community needs. I wholeheartedly recommend them. And don’t forget the Triphammer store!

Bitter, rude, and unpleasant staff. I took donations to the Triphammer location and brought donations to the front of the store instead of the correct location in the back. The front desk staff person called a manager on me who then responded in a manner as if I had committed a crime or something. The manager said what I did was "not appropriate" and the like. I took my donations around to the correct location in the back. Staff shouldn't be so unpleasant and over the top. I would've appreciated a reaction which matched the circumstances. I will not be going back.

I saw a beautiful writing desk here, thought about it all weekend and had to go back and get it. They were so helpful and worked with me to fit this big desk in my tiny car when it shouldn't have fit. Amazing employees and so much great stuff. Thank you all!

My favorite getaway! I've shopped here for years, actually both sites. I usually find what I'm after, but am always surprised at what I come home with. The staff is helpful and always cheery.My husband doesn't even mind when I want to go shopping here.Lol

They have a little bit of everything- I have bought a backpack, records, flower pots and drinking glasses. Everything is extremely well priced and the staff has always been very nice and chatty. Such a fun place to roam around.

DO NOT BUY ELECTRONICS ESP. COMPUTERS HERE!!! ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEY DO NOT LIKE TO GIVE IT BACK! EVEN THOUGH MUCH OF THE COMPUTER EQUIPMENT IS BROKEN. WHEN THEY SAY 'A TECHNICIAN' WILL LOOK AT IT AND SEE IF THEY WILL GIVE YOU A REFUND YOU KNOW YOU LOST YOUR MONEY. MY a$$ THEY HAVE A TECHNICIAN. ITS A PURCHASE TRAP WHEN IT COMES TO ELECTRONICS. YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING ELSEWHERE. I cannot say enough about Asia and Tom in the electronics department. I am very anxious when my equipment does not work and both Asia and Tom have the most calming affect on me whenever the laptop does not work. I can ask questions, even when they sound very awkward to my ears and Asia is so calm about helping. She even trouble shoots on the phone with me and I am so grateful for that. She never makes you feel that your concern is not important and I love the way she is so welcoming and does not expect you to be a coder or programmer when you speak to her about your concerns. This is a great department and I absolutely love the outstanding customer care that Asia and Tom provide.
