This is a great store with a wonderful hometown feel. Fun place to shop for the indulged pet or grilling chef. I always find a supply of paper whites when needed. Exotic garden tools and a wide selection of beautiful pots and perennials. Whenever I need a last-minute gift, they never disappoint.

Agway is a great spot for many things, gardening equipment, electrical supplies, even winter clothing! Personally I go there to get 14lb bags of cat food that my kitties really like. There's a rewards program that gives a free bag after X purchases, depending on the size of the bag purchased. I can get quality firewood there if I'm feeling like a camping adventure is in order. They offer lawnmower repair if I run into a stubborn rock or what have you. All in all, I've been shopping at Agway for many years, I will continue to do so, and so should you!

Helpful, considerate, very knowledgeable staff. They always have what I need at a reasonable price. Bought a grill here 12 years ago and it still works perfectly, is in excellent condition. (So I didn't have to throw a cheaper one that stopped working into the landfill and buy another one). Bought Furnace filters, dog toys, garden supplies, plants (and got expert advice on a problem in our garden), plumbing 'stuff,' gifts for friends and relatives, and more. Excellent quality. People who care. It's such a pleasure to shop there and don't have to walk miles from department to department.

This is a great local resource. They have all the farm and garden sorts of things, plumbing, electrical, hardware, and home goods. The selection is excellent and the staff are knowledgeable. In the spring time they have really nice fruit trees, berries, and all sorts of other plants. I always go here before hitting up the big boxes and almost never need to go elsewhere to find something.

This place is great. A man sitting near the plumbing area who knows what he’s talking about, ready to work through your project with you. None of this “I’ll call and ask someone to meet you by plumbing” and 15 minutes later there’s nobody. And Agway isn’t more expensive for what I bought anyway - everything to set up a sump pump. Friendly, aware, ready with what most people want around the home and garden.

I have been going to this Agway for decades. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Good prices for high quality goods.Today I picked up an order that I placed on line. This was the first time that I used their website to place an order for pickup. Everything was ready and they helped load it into my car. There are two entrances to the store, so of course I went to the wrong one first. If you are picking up, you should go to the Fulton Street entrance.

I've been a resident of Ithaca for over 40 years and and the Ithaca Agway has always been one of those valued high quality local icons. The product line and customer service is simply outstanding. It is so nice to go to a store with questions and actually have them answered by local experts! Ithaca Agway carries such an amazing variety of products for every season. They are a very popular store so it is not surprising that some people find that the items they are looking for sell out. I've never had a problem, always found exactly what I needed. It bears mentioning they also sell a lot of locally produced goods too. I've met the owner and I was impressed with his sincerity in helping local farmers to sell their products in his stores.In my opinion Ithaca Agway is the hometown farm, garden, and hardware store that give that very clear differentiation to the big box supply warehouses. Professional local experts / locally produced goods / name brand products / and enormous variety. Simply can't be beat!

In brief: disappointing customer service.I like supporting smaller or local businesses when possible. I've had positive experiences here in the past, but today was a different story. My wife and I arrived at 3:50pm unaware the store closed at 4. We were looking at mulch in the parking lot and standing near a sales associate whom never mentioned the close time. It was 3:58 when we tried to walk inside to make our purchase. We knew what we wanted, it was all ready to go outside, and were willing to pay cash and leave. Rather than simply telling us they close at 4 (and allowing us to check out quickly), two workers told us rudely that they close at 4 every Saturday and said the registers were already shut down. (We could see inside that the last couple of customers were still checking out.) It's disappointing that their response lost them our business to Lowes both today and for all future projects.

great small town hardware store. Staff has been around a long time, not like the big boxes. So they know what they're doing and know their products and applications very well. It's a real small town store, and that's worth a lot more to me than saving a few bucks.

I am SO angry I could scream! Because I am a disabled senior I make sure to call on the phone prior to any traveling because it is such a big deal for me. On a Saturday morning as soon as they opened I called and told the saleslady that I am looking for David Austin CLIMBING roses that are in stock. Her response was YES and she said they have SEVERAL VARIETIES in stock. Based on this my husband and I proceeded to take a 2 hour drive (1 hour each way) to purchase 4 David Austin climbing rose plants for your newly landscaped yard. Upon arrival I asked the sales lady to direct me to them and she did ONLY TO FIND OUT THERE WERE 2 varieties, neither the color I was looking for. Very upset and angry that we drove 2 hours on an 87degree Saturday thus wasting hours!!! VERY UNEDUCATED sales rep...they should know what you carry! One star is too many!

Well from shopping here, working here, to becoming friends with folks from here is great. This is the best mom and pops store you can go to. Owner Andy has the best price on things but also the best product. Friendly faces but wont take no disrespect, luis, nicco, alex, tom, bob, and good o mother nature stephanie. Be respectable at all time folks are busy. If you didnt know veggie and fruits are great starters from here during spring and summer months. Well enjoy ya self.

I've been coming to Agway since we moved to Ithaca 20 years ago. I almost always find someone to help me quickly. They are very knowledgeable about hope repairs. If I have questions about how to do a certain task, they always provide helpful solutions. I've even gone in there wanting to buy a product only to be told how I could accomplish the task with what I already had (in that case, wooden matchsticks!).

I needed some advice about finishing an antique cabinet. Staff in the paint section were friendly and worked together, notnonly to make suggestions (oil, poly, wax) but to help me try some wax in a small section of a drawer that I brought it. I felt like they were almost as interested in the success of my project as my father and I.

After a couple of times having the snowblower in for work, the Owner called us back, picked it back up, and completed final corrections on it to make it work properly. Appreciate them taking the extra steps to make things right.
