Our experience with Halco has been excellent every time we've upgraded an appliance, needed a repair, had a consultation--every time. They are not the least expensive, but they figured out and fixed an issue with our AC when no one else could. I was experiencing some clogged pipes which was causing water to back up in my basement. Halco's plumber Mike Crumb came out and worked extremely diligently to effectively resolve that situation. I highly recommend this company to anyone who in the finger lake area. They are fast, efficient, and most importantly fairly priced especially if you request membership.

Andrew was great! He came out (after hours on a Friday) and installed our washing machine which the company wouldn’t because they claimed they couldn’t turn off the water. My mom uses Halco for all plumbing related stuff (and she is very particular so if she likes a business they have probably gone above and beyond) so she just called them and now the washer is hooked up and working beautifully!!!

Great home repair service!! Jessica was very knowledgeable and helpful setting up the appointment to install a new sink. Mike called ahead, arrived conveniently early, completed the estimate and installation in less than an hour. Sarah was very thorough in her energy assessment of our house. She took lots of notes, did some mapping, took lots of pictures. She also clearly explained the incentives related to transitioning to more energy efficient heating and cooling systems. She was very happy to answer all the questions we had. She also pointed out some things that we hadn't noticed about our house. And, she had some jokes. Great job overall. Highly recommend.

Mike, the technician, was great for our sump pump replacement + longevity improvements to effluent system. Prompt & thorough work. Clearly explained what was to be done. Halco sent Bob to diagnose a late ignition problem on the boiler of the non-profit that I managed and he very quickly and professionally figured out the issue(s). The follow up with the office was quick and the service call to solve the problem was thorough and quick. Bob explained the work being done, showed me the components that were causing the issue and explained why they were the cause.We talked about a yearly service contract for our HVAC systems and I am recommending to the Board that we use Halco going forward.Five stars. Well done.

We've been using Halco for a few years now and they've consistently provided excellent service. Most recently we had a small heat pump installed in our kitchen. Trevor, whom we've worked with before, helped us choose the right heat pump for us and Zach and Kyle handled the installation. Zach and Kyle were very friendly, professional and explained everything clearly to us. We really appreciated that they wore booties in the houses over their shoes. They both were extremely neat and cleaned everything up afterward. Halco is a great company. Highly recommend them!

I was very pleased to find out that as service contract members we get 2 free hours of non emergency service per year. After we made an appointment with Halco, a serviceperson arrived on time as usual to update the functioning parts of our toilets. Mark did a great job and was very pleasant. Woke up at 1 AM yesterday, a cold winter day despite it being spring on the calendar, to no heat and 2 feet of standing water in my basement. After the fire department took care of the water the guys from Halco including Steve and Charlie spent a good part of their day restoring my heat, water and replacing the defunct sump pump that had caused the whole incident. Their attention to detail and professional approach were much appreciated!

Andrew Casselman took care of several plumbing issues we needed taken care of including a gas line, water heater and repair of toilet that has not been working properly and giving us problems. As with his previous service calls for us, Andrew was EXCELLENT! He does a great job of communicating and thoroughly and patiently explains everything he is going to do to make the repair and what the result will be. He is very thorough, diligent and effective in his work. It is obvious that he takes pride in his work and cares a great deal about the customers he is serving. We’re figuring on needing a new “furnace” in the near future, so we gave Halco a call. They scheduled a visit very quickly.Sean did a great job of explaining our options from a conventional furnace to heat exchangers. This included everything from how things work to financials. He was excellent at answering our questions too. Sean even did a good job cleaning up the bit of insulation that rained down from the attic when he checked that out.

Halco recently installed five heat pump/mini split units in our home. Before we committed to going ahead, Sean Hillson met with us numerous times and worked with us to address all our concerns — and was able to answer our questions even while the units were being installed. His meticulous attention to detail was unsurpassed. We had a new HVAC heat pump system installed four to five months ago by Halco. It’s a new technology, and we’ve had a number of bumps in the road getting it to work the way we need it. Halco has been extraordinarily responsive to every issue, and has sent wonderful technicians out whenever we had a problem, but we still had challenges getting it to work properly. Today, Jason came to try to adjust it yet again, and finally found the core issue, which had to do with the unique configuration of the installation because of our house.
