Excellent stop for breakfast or lunch while in Ithaca! The funky vibe is great and they have tons to offer. Loved the bagel breakfast sandwich and smoothie. My husband ordered avocado toast which was good but the bread didn’t seem toasted enough. They also have a wide selection of sandwiches, acai bowls, ice cream, and coffee. We’ll definitely be coming back!

CTB is a great place to have a quick bite when in Ithaca. The bagels and the sandwiches are good. Prices are also very reasonable. There are no table service, and the line to order could be quite long at peak times. However, the line does move fairly quickly as the staff taking the orders and the staff preparing the food are very efficient.

Great bagels! The menu was overwhelming and I didn’t know where to look first to figure out my order. Ended up with a great plain bagel. The turkey panini was very large and fit for two people. Overall nice atmosphere and good seating. The staff were very helpful too. Hope this helps!

Large menu selection, cozy and welcoming environment. Went with a large group of students and the staff were very attentive.

The food was tasty I will say that, but I went in and got a single sandwich which was $20 after tax and a couple dollar tip, which I think is just kind of expensive for a not sit down type of restaurant. Also maybe other people don’t have this problem but it was too dark in there, I had to go over by the window to find my wallet in my purse to pay, especially since there wasn’t any place to put my stuff down at the register. The staff was pretty friendly, gave me good recommendations after I asked about what to get.

Overwhelmed choice on the menu solved by just specifying what we wanted, and it was made to order!Delicious bagels and filling was exactly as we requested. And after (or before) eating pop out to visit the beautiful falls only a few minutes walk away.

I think it's been 30 years since I've had an actual good bagel from CTB. When I was in highschool we'd stop by the first CTB in Collegetown and they were still so hot from the ovens, they doubled as hand warmers as I walked to school. Not so much today. The bagels are chronically undercooked and apparently dipped in water not hot enough. I asked if they have any bagels baked "today" at 6:45AM and get a bagel that was at best 20 hours old. They've moved to a central commissary system so nothing has been baked in the storefronts for several years. Gone are the days of a baskets with little signs that they're still >gasp< HOT from the ovens, as they should be.I once worked as a bagel cook and I've baked close to a million bagels. I know what a good bagel is. CTB just ain't what it used to be.Oh, and the coffee is swill. Worse than Tim Hortons.

Very nice place to eat breakfast/lunch and friendly staff. My only point is you have to be in one line to make an order, then go to another line (long)to make the payment. We order Egg and cheese bagels (very delicious), Buffalo street - chicken (very delicious), California Dreamin - Turkey (nothing special) and Almond bar (very delicious - my friends though it’s too sweet). All in all, delicious place to eat, highly recommended.

The hype about this place is worth it. Everything is super efficient while still being very welcoming and casual. Huge amount of options for food, as well as a variety of coffee, beer, and wine. I've never tried something bad.

I hope this is just a one-time occurrence for this place, but I waited in line behind a guy while he 1) yelled at me for being in his person space while being ten feet away from him and 2) took up the cashier’s time for 10-15 minutes having a conversation. When it was finally my turn at the counter, he barged in front of me again and tried to continue his conversation with the cashier and yelled at me again for being in HIS personal space. When I told him that I just wanted to pay for my bagel, he leaned over and coughed directly and intentionally on my food. Cashiers did nothing to rectify the situation. Super disappointed in this place.

Idk how you guys are on the east coast and sooo trash. Do you import your bagels from Cali? Just for two poppyseed bagels with cream cheese. First all, they put enough cream cheese to maybe cover 80% of one side. Second the bagel was increadibly stale, dry and just generally poor tasting. Can’t believe this place is around other than the fact no one really has many options In that part of town.

I’m coming from New York City which some say is famous for a little doughy ball of heaven known as the bagel, and I’d gladly eat these bagels and sandwiches any day of the week. Try the Lindsey for a great sandwich, and I recommend the chocolate covered cheesecake bar.

Good bagels. Had a Bronx Bagel with a za'atar bagel, chicken sausage, pepper jack and avacado. I like the mediterranean twist with the Za'atar reminds me of the manakeesh I get back in Buffalo. Definitely give a try

Wow so happy to never go here again! Waited 35 minutes for a sandwich when I could have literally sat and had a gourmet meal at Simeon’s for the same amount of time. Called to speak to the owner who was not available with the assurance from the manager I would receive a refund for the sandwich I never got still haven’t received. By the way they microwave the eggs and charge 3x the price. Go to dolce delight or hound and mare or even the state diner is better for that matter!

It was a wait for our order (sandwich and coffee ordered separately, which TBH didn't make much sense to me...) BUT it was well worth it. I recommend the Rise 'N Grind...so good. I would've added a photo but it was already gone. My wife got Ryan's Favorite (pictured). We both got mochaccinos too.

The bagels here are great!Service was fast, do take note that drinks and food are ordered at separate counters! You order food first, then get a receipt with your order to present to the cashier where you order your drinks!I got the beach tree, it was a little sweet but tasty! The bagel had cream cheese and a jalepeno berry jam, delicious!!

I used to live in Ithaca, born there. I had been thinking about a bagel from Collegtown Bagels my whole trip....but...after paying $12 plus for 3 bagels...ALL three were so hard and stale we couldn't even eat them. Servers were great though. I miss the old days where they were made fresh every morning...

10 outta 10 you should get breakfast here. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in a long time. It’s laid back and in the heart of Ithaca. Do yourself a favor and go.

The renovations are beautiful. Staff is good. Being from Long Island, CTB disappoints when it comes to bagels/deli/breakfast sandwiches. I’m sorry to say it. The bagels are decent for upstate, but could be better. Many of the sandwiches I’ve had just seem like they’re not made with the highest quality ingredients, especially when charging premium prices. Also, I don’t drink coffee here. I just make the trip to Gimme Coffee or buy a bag of Forty Weight beans at Greenstar for high quality coffee. The best breakfast sandwiches in town, IMO, are at Hound & Mare (downtown, also have good coffee) and Adam’s Corner Café up by Community Corners. ✌️

If you want to study without being blasted by loud music, don’t come here! I got a decaf coffee and politely asked the girl at the register if they could turn down the loud music. She said she would ask the manager (huh?), and later after I had paid and sat down, the music was even LOUDER. No wonder most people were sitting outside! I packed up my stuff and just left with a sour look on my face. Would not recommend if you want a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

We have breakfast here frequently when we visit Ithaca. Food and coffee are very good. Cool atmosphere.Staff is friendly but they recently changed their ordering and food delivery method. New system is very confusing. Too many people standing around wondering where their stuff is…
