What a gem! The mission is wonderful, the atmosphere is a mix of sunny cottage meets your crazy fun aunts house. It’s colorful, mismatched and the tea wall is such a great added touch. I’m a pretty big fan of kitties and coffee, and if you are…you will love this place. Also, staff…you ROCK!The one thing I will say, is the mocha latte was a little bitter…more of a dark chocolate taste. My boyfriend LOVED it, but I do like my mocha on the sweeter side. Wouldn’t stop me from coming back and trying something off of their extensive menu.

I had an absolutely delightful time at this coffee and tea haven! The moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the unique decor that exudes charm and creativity. As a cat lover, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place - the friendly feline-themed ambiance with adorable cat decorations and motifs made my heart melt 😺.Their selection of desserts, coffee, and tea was outstanding, offering something for everyone's taste buds. I indulged in a scrumptious dessert accompanied by a rich and flavorful coffee that satisfied my cravings perfectly. The tea options were equally enticing, and I can't wait to explore more on my next visit. The staff was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Their friendly nature added a special touch to the overall experience, and I left the place with a big smile on my face.I highly recommend this place to anyone in search of a relaxing and enjoyable coffee or tea outing. Whether you're a cat enthusiast or not, the lovely atmosphere, delectable treats, and attentive staff will surely leave you with a memorable and delightful time. I can't wait to return and soak in the cozy cat-loving vibes once again!" ☕😺🍰

Would give a zero if I could. The drinks were okay the London fog had too much milk in it the Catlady had no lavender taste in it got a salad and it was wayyy too acidic to finish and got the jaguar sandwich which tasted like cat food and kinda spicy I found I hair in it. The cat lounge area doesn’t seem too friendly or inviting. After we left our stomach hurt and we still feel like we are going to be sick. Please be cautious when going places.

Too cute! I went to the Alley Cat Cafe and it’s been a really nice experience overall. Petting the cats and kittens are $5 for every 30 minutes and you get to choose whether you want high energy (kittens) or low energy (older cats) rooms. I haven’t ate a lot of the options in the Cafe but one that I definitely recommend is the Catprese (spelling may differ). The Cafe feels homey and can get busy at times. One thing I would look out for is the price and serving size of the different sandwiches. Overall a good place!

We came in for a quick drink on a hot day and couldn't resist sitting with the cats while we enjoyed our drinks. We had flavoured lemonades, and both were delicious and reasonably priced. The cat room is $5 per person for a half hour, which is on par or less expensive than other cat cafes we've visited. The cat area was clean and the cats were absolutely precious of course. There was plenty of spots to sit in the cat area, as well as lots of toys to enjoy with them. You can bring drinks in, as long as they have lids, which the employees happily provided. We'll be back any time we're in the area.

Super cute cat cafe in Ithaca! Being cat lovers, we had to stop in! They have a nice cafe area that offers coffee, drinks & light snacks. We loved that they had a nice cat fan section of things to buy like cat toys, stickers, magnets etc.You can go into the “cat room” to play & visit the cats. Its $5 for 30 minutes & it all goes to a good cause! We didn’t have time to sign up on the “wait list” but still supported this wonderful place with getting some drinks & cat gifts!Stop in for a coffee- a snack - or perhaps, some adorable cat love! 🐱

Staff is so easy to get along with. They love their jobs and it's easy to tell. The macaroons are the best I've ever had. And the coffee is amazing. The best part of course, visiting the kitties. Plenty of hiding, sleeping, resting places for them as well as many toys and obstacles for them to be enriched with. They're very happy as well as the customer.Space is relaxed, easy to just chill. LGBTQ+ friendly. Absolutely the best part of our trip to Ithaca.

This is a must visit place. Great vibes and ambiance. Variety of coffee and tea selections. If you are into Cats - spend time with for $ 5 for 30 mins. Make sure you reserve a time they get booked very fast. The cats are amazing even though I’m not into Cats ! Beautiful place in a nice corner.

This was my first time going to a cat cafe, so I suppose I had high expectations which may have affected my experience. Our visit was just okay. The food (Jaguar) and drinks (Cat Lady and Dirty Chai) weren't spectacular. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could in the optimism that this was an off day, but this is what I didn't like. First, there was clutter. There seemed to be piles of random stuff (not merchandise) here and there both in the restaurant area and in the seating areas. A mop and bucket should not be visible to customers unless actively being used... and it shouldn't ever be propped up near a food counter. The big, grungy sink/drain directly behind the counter should not be visible either. Guys, just put a tapestry, screen, poster, whatever. What I did like was the vibe. I liked the local artists on display. It was a chill place to come get some laptop work done, enjoy your coffee, or visit some cats!

Okay, this place is 5 stars to the power of 12 because cats!, but I could only choose 5 stars. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are decent, but let's be honest you're here for the cats. And they are the stars. They shine in the two rooms, one for calmer and one for more lively. They have a range of ages and so many are excited to see you. One kitten even rested on me! Of course there are some real characters, like one who constany hogs a bean bag and looks dead if you don't watch it breathe. Another doesn't give a darn about anything except the window. Hope you visit these royal babies!

Weird place. Half the staff wear masks! Heavily indoctrinated. Judgemental. Had a piece of chocolate cake and it was so incredibly sweet, I had to throw half of it away. Terrible place.

The Alley Cat Cafe was definitely one of the biggest highlights during my time here in Ithaca. Such a fantastic spot with such a beautiful message and cause! To confirm with other reviews, it does cost $5 to have access for 30 minutes to the cat room, but in my opinion it's completely worth it, for the proceeds go toward the cats' medical expenses, food, and finding them forever homes! The food was fresh, tasty, and relatively well priced. I was so thrilled that there were vegan and vegetarian options. When I went I also got an iced chai latte as a beverage, I prefer my chai a bit spicer, but it was good nonetheless and I would buy it again. The staff members were all lovely to interact and chat with. I had such lovely experiences and conversations with everyone there.Additionally, I was very happy to find that this cafe was very environmentally conscious as well as extremely inclusice and queer positive! Overall I had a fantastic experience - this spot was right up my alley and I will definitely be stopping by again soon!

Alley Cat Cafe has clearly labeled vegan items on their menu. They make everything to order, and the staff was super friendly. The concept of the cafe is neat and I love that it has a compassionate component to their business.I ordered The Jaguar. It was very delicious, though the portion was a smidge small. I'd pay a bit more to have it be a slightly bigger sandwich or for an included side.I also ordered a lemonade, which was very refreshing on a hot, sunny summer day.Overall, this is a great stopping point in Ithaca!!

This is so eccentric and cute! The staff is so cute and friendly. Very attention to detail staff. The coffee is on point! At first i gave them 5 stars, but came back for a second cup two hours later. They changed Batista and it was the longest wait I ever had for a cup of coffee.

We had a lovely time at this adorable place! The staff is warm and accommodating. It was nice that the cats had various rooms in which to roam freely. The prices were fair, and the cats were well-loved. If you need a cat fix, this is your spot. 💓Parking: There are limited parallel parking spots available. Maybe try a parking garage, if all else fails.

This place is an absolute gem!! Everything is cat-themed and personalized. Very homey, eclectic style. Most of the decor/art/products are local. Great coffee, cheap refills if you drink it in-house. Good food -- I had to give the food rating 4 stars because my balsamic dressing wasn't mixed and so all of the vinegar went to the bottom of my salad and made it really hard to eat (made me cough because of the intense flavor at the end). But the staff are SO LOVELY and the cats are PRECIOUS! The prices are comparable to other places. Free wi-fi and they don't play the music (lofi) too loud. Definitely come here for a great time.Vegetarian options: GREAT selections.

What a great little cafe! You can socialize and adopt cats and kittens while enjoying a great cup of coffee or some snacks, or even lunch. Such a caring staff and group of volunteers.

Love this place! Would've been 5 stars across the board, but the worker today was not as friendly as you would expect. Everyone has an off day, though, so I will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: There were a few desserts that were gluten free, and tasted amazing!!!

Nice quiet cafe atmosphere that’s a lot more calm than places like Starbucks or Collegetown Bagels. Haven’t tried the food yet, but the white-chocolate mint latte I had was on par if not better than most places. The feature that sets this place apart from every other coffee shop are the two cat rooms in the back. $5 gets you 30min with the cats — a purrfectly reasonable price (sorry, couldn’t resist) — and the money goes to support the non-profit cat rescue where you can adopt any of the adorable felines from.

The very definition of vibes, the low energy room is nice and chill your going to have to work for the cats to play with you. If you go to the high energy room, you won't be disappointed either. Aside from the cats which is priced at $5 per 30 minutes, the café itself offers a variety of baked goods and hot or cold beverages, that are worth the price for an stay.

Super cute place and a great way to decompress. Drived an hour just to go to this place. There is a private lot you can park in that is next to the building which is nice. Two rooms available to see the kitties: playful and then cuddle bugs. Marigold is a large orange cat who is the alley cat cafe "cat". All other cats are up for adoption. Unique bakery items and tasty drinks. My mom got the matcha latté and loved it.
