Islip Animal Hospital is one of the best practices around. They provide excellent care, are knowledgeable, patient, and communicative. We take our yellow lab and 2 cats here. Every visit you feel like a priority. They always take the time to answer your questions and are really good with scheduling.

OUTSTANDING!! Dr. Fischer was my dog's doctor. Not only was he kind, professional but he truly cares for the animal's well-being. He always took the time to explain what was in the best interest for my dog's health and well-being. We found the Islip Animal Hospital to be one of the best. They always find an appointment for us and they're always kind, understanding and humane. As far as billing is concerned, they are more than fair with their fees and they don't squeeze you for every penny you have. Always a pleasure!

Very helpful. Took my dog as an emergency for a abscessin his mouth. His regular vet was on Vacation. You can tell they love what they do and everyone was very helpful!

When I took my dog there 4 years ago to be put down , they had vet techs take him by stretcher and the lady in the front was nice. They immediately brought him to the exam room. They made him comfortable with blankets. When we were ready to let him go the vet cried with us and she was so nice to my dog and to my family.

Update: 5/12/2022I moved to Selden and still go back to see Dr. Siclari. He has the most bedside manner, is always on point and listens so well with so much attention. I recently l had to bring my cat in and saw Dr. Maltese for the first time and she really sealed the deal to make this the best vet on LI. Safe to say I’ll always take the trip here to have them care for my babies!Thank you to these wonderful vets and the office staff for everything. They are sweet and gentle, caring and kind. Always accommodating. Thank you!!!

Great staff and doctors. Always work out best treatment without jumping to whole bunch of test, x-rays, and unnecessary overnight stays. Also had our little dog put to rest when he very old and got sick. Very compassionate. My wife held him till the end.

They are such kind and understanding people who were by our side throughout the process of having to put our baby , 18 yr old Lab that had suddenly succumb to her tumor in her right rear hip and could no longer walk for herself and she was starting to have accidental bowel movements in the middle of the night and then she would cry from the pain after her accidental bowel movement and then started having urine accidents. When we went to have her sent to Heaven to be with my son and her Buddy we lost last year , but she went in her sleep. I also sent us a very understanding and Lovely card , hand written and shared their condolences for our loss and on Tues , the 2nd we will be able to pick up her Ashes as well as her Urn and a small engraved plate with her name and birthday and a paw print , I just think she was so well taken care of and it was Truely sincere and heartfelt. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a caring , compassionate veterinary clinic that shows such a high standard of caring as these people did for us.

Words cannot express what an amazing experience we had at Islip Animal hospital 🤗 But I will try! The staff was so kind, friendly, capable, professional and really exceeded my expectations! The Doctor cared very much, was genuinely interested in our cats health and was very gentle with her and took excellent care of our cat. Really, do not hesitate to bring your animals to Islip Animal hospital because you will not be disappointed!

I brought my dogs on many occasions, all the Drs are empathetic and are good diagnosticians .. very reasonable rates and Dr. Fisher is an excellent surgeon. He saved my dog's life. The front and back staff are excellent and caring as well.

Took my dog Kylie to the vet last Thursday for her yearly shots also had the doctor check her back for a growth/cyst, check her for a skintag, and check her for allergies. I have to THANK YOU to Dr Fischer he is an AMAZING vet... VERY knowledgeable, VERY honest, you can tell he loves what he does and is a VERY smart man who sounds like he does a lot of reading and research on his own time. He gives you a lot of in-depth knowledge and explains things in easy to understand terms this way you know yourself what is going on with your pet. The lady at the front desk is also awesome and very friendly and helpful. Been going to this vet for a long time but finally decided to write a review. THANK YOU to all the staff at Islip Animal Hospital!!!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Our German shepherd puppy had growing pains which they were treating with steroids. His symptoms were on and off, just recently he had a bad relapse with the pain and instead of diving deeper they kept him for only a few hours and sent him home. He then died 12 hours later! HE WASNT EVEN TREATED PROPERLY AND NEVER SHOULD HAVE CAME HOME. I’ve spoke to other vets and they all said bloodwork should’ve been done earlier to see why nothing was changing, but instead waited till it was too late to find out something else was going on with the dog. AND HERES THE BEST PART THEY CHARGED US 500 DOLLARS FOR THE DOG TO PASS AWAY THE NEXT DAY AND HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SAY WE CANT REFUND YOU THAT MONEY. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE I WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN OUR PUPPY WAS ONLY 7 MONTHS OLD AND SHOULDVE NEVER PASSED AWAY.

Hands down best vet I’ve ever been too!!!! Dr. Siclari was amazing. Doesn’t make you feel rushed, asks questions and let’s you ask questions. Unlike many vets these days who pet your dog and charge you 500$, he actually cares about your animal and wants to help. Would recommend to all. Thanks Islip animal hospital!
