I was at the store by 11:30 and I picked up some blueberries. Apparently it was spouses to go on sale for next day but the sign did not have any dates on it. When I was at the counter the agent wanted to charge regular price and when mentioned to her these item are on sale she told me speak to the manager. I spoke to spoke to store manger Dale and told me the sale start tomorrow but she took me to someone by name OLIVIA, and asked her if she can matched the price. She was super rude she said to me she can’t do it the sale doesn’t start until tomorrow. I explained her there is no date on the sign and if by Law if you have sign with date you have to honour it. She rudely told me it’s too much for me. I won’t do it. If she is in guest relationship business, she needs to learn how to speak with costumers.

The most pleasant cashiers work at this location. I’ve been shopping here for 2yrs & I have never had an unpleasant encounter with any of the cashiers. They have been very helpful & always greet you with a warm smile. This says a lot about management, keep up the good work.

Usually able to get everything we need. Placing pick up orders is an ok option as well as long as they take the time to look for all of the items. There are a couple of supermarkets closer to home, but the prices and selection at Stop & Shop are better. Plenty of self check out machines to help keep the line moving. Clean. Too many small displays along the front and back of the store make it difficult to get by when the store is really busy, especially in the frozen aisle. The pick up parking spots are usually full of cars of people who went inside to shop. The scanning system is out of service very often.

Drove to this location to see if they had more selection did find that the store was kept up a little better then bay terrace in bayside witch is always low on product no matter when you go don’t understand why they are always low on meats they no longer cut in store so I can’t see why the store is always empty in all departments next time I’ll take pictures

Stopped by here to grab flowers for a friend and found a great selection! There were plenty of bouquets in different price ranges. Lots of plants and seasonal pieces. Make your own bouquet and pick and choose what you want or choose from a handpicked options.Get it wrapped to go as a nice finishing touch! There are lots of balloon options available as well!

Solid place to shop. The bakery is the best part, the pistachio muffins, bagels, and brioche bread are some of my faves. Cakes are always on point. Great selection of organic and health food items.

Everything is very good about this supermarket clean and good product. I have always been doing my grocery shopping here .I would give 5stars for the the store , only the customer service for the shelf checkout lady (march05)was so rude. I’m so shocked how people can be so rude she literally was yelling at me in front of other’s customers.

The self-check out wasn't working right. Asked the worker assigned to it for help. He completely ignored me. I made eye contact, was polite, he wasn't busy doing something else. The guy just ignored me. Was going to complain to Management but the line was too long. Easier to go to a new supermarket.

I have been shopping here for many years. Over the last 4 years 1 of the 2 sink faucets have not worked. After 4 years the only other sink faucet stopped working. Now there is no running water in the bathroom. This is highly unsanitary. Why has the health dept not corrected this and how do the employees wash their hands!!!!!4 YEARS THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON!!!!

Clean and modern, but struggled to find shredded provolone, only a mix with mozzarella was available. Deli and bakery sections at Stop & Shop are hidden gems, adding a delightful touch to shopping trips. Despite a chaotic parking lot, the store is well-stocked with everything at reasonable prices.

Stop and Shop New Hyde Park is a great store. This place is huge and they have almost everything. Clean service, well-organized inventory, and a wide selection of products. Health food store, pharmacy, bakery, flower shop, and Starbucks are separated. The staff are all friendly, the store is clean, and the products are well stocked. The price is reasonable too.

Thus store and it's chain have become so expensive that the other local stores likes shop rite which isn't gauging its prices (they're also gauging) as much as stop and shop are completely overrun and overcrowded. Stop and shop needs a price overhaul.

This is one of the nicer stop n shops in Queens, the deli workers always are professional and courteous and most importantly they keep clean and don’t look dirty.

A great place to shop!Large store with wide aisles that is consistently clean and tidy and has well stocked shelves. I love the flower shop by the entrance door-The flowers ( bundles or potted) are like a welcoming team. The store's pharmacy is a pleasure to use. I also love the mid-section of the store where they display all the seasonal items/merchandise, e.g. patio sets for summer etc. A nice variety of foods ….from dairy to breads to fresh produce to canned goods. These are just a few of the many reasons that draw me to this place.Prices here are low. There are always an abundance of items on sale. Employees are pleasant and helpful.

Awful Customer Service. Purchased a Fortnite Gift Card for my son and it wasn't scratched off yet but when tried to redeem it was invalid. Tried to return it to store and extremely rude associate at service desk refused return/exchange. I even brought photos to prove it would not work. A manager was hanging nearby and said "Give him the Number to Black." I went home and called that number and nothing they can do. They gave me Epic's Number (the maker of Fortnite) and a recorded message gave me a bunch of BS and nothing resolved. I am now out $25.00 and Stop and Shop still has their "No return policy on gift cards. SMH.Follow up to Owner's response: Owner does not even address the fact that I was sold a gift card that does not work. I will now file a complaint with NYS Attorney General Office, Division of Consumer Fraud.Follow up: May 21, 2020:Went to NHP Stop and Shop and all Fornite Gift Cards have been pulled from the Gift Card section. If this is not an admission of offering defective merchandise then I don't know what is then. If the "Owner" who responds to these posts reads this, please do the right thing and authorize a refund of my $25.00. Thank you.Second Follow Up:Store Manager reached out to me and replaced the defective Fortnite Gift Card with a new one. Changing the rating to Five Stars after successful resolution of my complaint. Thanks!!

Parking in lot. They carry the usual groceries bread, produce, frozen foods. The lady at the flower shop was very helpful & professional. At checkout, there were 2 register lanes with the lights on but no cashier to be found. Posted sale items weren't ringing up so they weren't honored - if the line wasn't long I would have gone back to take a picture of the sale sign, so we left the 2 items, neither the cashier nor any other worker even tried to check and help.

So far Stop and Shop of New Hyde Park is still working for me. But do to market conditions total cost of shopping is up one week and down the next. With very little change is shopping habits. Like the GO Rewards program. Use my points for gas. (10/22/2022) The cost of shopping is going up. It is still working for me. (12/24/2022) cost going up/down still the store is keeping up with stocking and found what we want or need. Working for me still. (2/25/2023) Still keeping up with stock, but they need more of the hand held scanners. (9/1/2023) nothing has changed.

Large store with most items fully stocked but some items strangely are always in short supply or out of stock like cat food and bottled water gallon size.The store now receives most if not all meat prepackaged from their supplier instead of preparing it fresh in the butcher department. Ground beef for example is factory prepared instead of store ground and the one time I tried it the meat was extremely tough. Ground beef should not be tough.The store has an active pickup service which I guess is good for those who use that service but not so good for store customers. The employees who get those orders from the shelves show no courtesy to customers in their single minded determinism to fill those orders.Finally, the cashiers range from nice to downright nasty. There are usually only two cashiers in the first hour or two the store is open and one of them has been nasty to me on three separate occasions. For example she lectured me recently not to put a heavy item on the belt because I guess she doesn’t want to lift heavy items. She could have just asked me to lift it off the belt after scanning it but she chose to lecture me to not do that again. I held my tongue but she deserved a few choice words to never speak to me that way again. She’s the lady nearest the main doors in the morning.

I’ve been going to this stop and shop for over ten years and spent thousands of dollars here.I had the absolute worst experience today with “Janet” at the self checkout area today.I completed my checkout and proceeded to leave the store when I was stopped by “Janet”She took the time to leave the several other registers that had folks who needed help to tell me that I did not pay for an item in my cart.I did not say anything to her and gave her my receipt. She insisted the item she inquired about is not on my receipt WITHOUT even looking at the receipt. So I kindly did her job for her and showed her where the item was on the receipt because it’s unclear if she can read or see clearly.I felt discriminated, profiled, targeted and disgusted.Stop and shop will no longer get a penny from me. Since Janet made it a point to go out of her way to wrongfully accuse me, I made sure the manager was aware of this uncalled for situation.She clearly needs to do further training and improve her customer service. I don’t think someone like this should be dealing with customers. Hope this lady is reprimanded for her judgmental behavior today so no one else has to deal with this.

I Love This particular location (NHP,NY) is Large and caters to Many different cultural and lifestyle food supply. From American favourites, gluten free, vegan, South American, Caribbean, rich foods from India, Thai and other Eastern foods, kosher and middle eastern favourites as well. And always well stocked, too. Holiday and Celebration needs are always on point, I've never left without everything I needed & then some!Stop n Shop as a whole, every location I've been to on long island ( about 6 or 7)All of this stays true but for the change in size- some smaller locations have smaller selection and variety, which makes sense.And how could I forget the Staff and Employees?! Always willing to help, knowledgeable, kind, patient, eager to help. Checkout is a breeze when you work with your cashier at bagging. I prefer self checkout which I'm glad most stores have. Customer Service Desk has SO MUCH to offer: stamps, lotto, electric money transfer, tobacco products, returns, coinstar and bottle return cash-in. I love Stop n Shop and have since they first showed up on Hempstead Tpke and Wantagh Ave when I was just a kid, really. My entire families' Go-To Grocery.
