I love this place. They always greet me with a smile and the store is always decorated nicely. I dont mind traveling here to get my fur babies theirnfood. This is the only store that carries it. Also a great place that honors their customers by allowing points to build up to receive free food and money off too.

Extremely neat and clean let store. The layout of this particular location is great and easy to navigate to the type of pet you're shopping for. They seem to have sales and clearance items often as well. The staff was minimal but very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you never have and are in need of some pet products.

Small convenient pet store that offers a wide variety of dog and cat foods (as well as a few kitties that are by the entrance for adoption!). Workers are well informed and friendly, and they offer a loyalty program for repeat customers. Definitely recommend this place.

Michelle, the manager, is awesome. She is extremely knowledgeable about everything the store carries and then some. She was a great comfort to me when I had to give up my French Mastiff due to aggression. I can't thank her enough for her support. I go in as often as I can just to say hi. Now we are possibly getting a Newfoundland puppy so if we do I'll be seeing her much more. So excited.

I was at New Hyde Park Store today buying wet cat food, (Friskies), that was on sale for .55 cent a can. I also had a 10 dollar coupon off if you spend 50 dollar or more. In order to complete this purchase I needed to spend more money. I was interested in buying a scratching post for my cats. They had one scratching that was advertised on the web site for $15.39, ITEM # 75491 : 18.0 IN. The sale associate rang up the item up and it show that it was for $21.99. I told her that it was on sale on Pet Valu's Web Site. She told that I look on the Canadian portion of Pet Valu's Web Site and I told her I didn't. As a fire fighter/EMS I just purchased only the wet food for the feral cats that we feed at the fire house and also, I thru away the 10 dollar coupon. From the associate altitude, Pet Valu lost me as customer. I will take my future purchases across the street at Petsmart. I have been for my first time at Pet Valu. They have got Hill' s Science diet for Cats which I can't get at Petco.
