The staff who work there are amazing, BUT this store is literally a hazard to both employees and patrons. I work in insurance and was absolutely appalled that they have employees and patrons enter this store in its condition. Pics say it all. I hope corporate reads these and can see this store needs help!

Very messy, dirty, open when they feel like it, staff is rude or non-existent, never go to a dollar general again, pleasant valley store is even worse!

Very stocked. The 2 workers who talked to me were very friendly. A few Isles were messy but they were stocking shelves so it's understandable. All the floors were clean and I enjoyed walking around.

And even joke aroundBut not just because of thatIt's because if they don't have something I'm looking for they try to get it in with in a few daysOnly thing is, I wish the store was a little bigger. They didn't have a bathroom for me. Said it was out of order. Don't worry I made it to my next destination without incident. I know you were worried about me and I appreciate it.I did get a water because my thirst overpowered my worry about yellow eyeballs. All staff was friendly enough.Follow me for more reviews of where I have been and where I have gone. 🤭

Every time I go in it is hard to navigate through the isles due to stocking carts. Never seems to have enough staff on. This last time was perfect timing to get rung up since I didn't have to wait in a long line. Usually it is a wait to check out due to only one register and a line of customers. Not very organized and neat in this store most of the times I go. I try to avoid this store. I think they need to work on customer service a bit more with certain employees and make sure staff is actually straightening up the stores products. Customers shouldn't have to have a hard time navigating with a cart through the store either.

Why recently does the store keep closing early? If so, website should be updated. I heard there was a new manager and they close when they want and closed the store to go on a little trip. Is that how managers do it these days?

Workers are nice, but this place is a wreck. I have never seen another dollar general (or honestly any other store) so disheveled. Merchandise tossed around, nothing seems to be in its place, over all a mess

I usually drive past this location thinking "ahh I missed it". But going in today was so great; customers were super friendly and so was the staff. Plus they have free Lollies!!!! Prices are right too! Not to mention the store was clean and organized,I was super impressed!!! Great job everyone,I'll be back.

I love this store. It gives me an old time feelingI think the cluttered (not dirty) way store is in adds adventure. Looking for things and yes generally finding it. One negative, the staff are unfriendly and can be rude. This is a management issue. Otherwise store is great.

I like this place. busyI lowered my rating as this store is always cluttered almost to the point of not being able to shop. Although I like these stores, this one's an absolute rats nest. They need to invest in a stocking/cleaning crew if they dont have them or fire the ones they have. However, I believe they are making their cashiers do the work of both jobs. Thats no way to do business either. This isnt a tiny minimart!

I go there to save money on needed items. Unfortunately most of the time the shelves are empty and isles are blocked with carts of merchandise so I only wind up with half of what I went there for. The staff is very pleasant even with their backs against the wall in such an under staffed store.

Staff always very nice. Store can sometimes be hard to get around not many people working at once so this seems to cause piles of shipment to be all over store. Items always good quality for the prices

The rock and roll dude with the big earrings was not helpful at all, very sarcastic and rude. I went there to pick up a western union and he wouldn't take my transaction number... Only a phone number for a money pick up?? The system didn't accept the phone number. so what good is having a western union at your location?

Great prices but the store looks like a tornato went thru it. They need night help to put merchandise up. Shelves were empty for most of what we wanted. Please get them more help!!!

Wish. This DG had food, like the one near "Price Chopper," in Poughkeepsie. I Wish it was Larger...Isles to tight, and, it's Not always Super Clean, Especially, the Parking lot.

Clerk with long beard was very rude. To make a long story short dude was rude I walked out and my girlfriend continued the transaction.after we all left my son went back in and he was heard saying he wish he had a tazer attached to customers receipts he didn't like so he could take them when they left.

I always hated Dollar General on principle. If you call a store "Dollar General" but everything ISN'T a dollar, that's borderline wallet fraud. I get it, everything is a round Dollar amount. I understand that. But your sign feels like a lie. So for years, I stood by my opinion and never went back into a Dollar General.This was a mistake.Since Dollar General is one of the few places to get the rereleased Jolt Cola, I went in begrudgingly to buy a can. And I entered a magical wonderland of cheap, unique goods. Want two cans of Monster and a can of pulled pork? DG has you covered. Need double edge razor blades to load into your vintage razor? DG has their own brand. Need to go to a place where you can get shoes, rubbing alcohol, and cigars for under $15? DG is there for you.At its heart, Dollar General is an old time general store for those severely lacking in the fiduciary department. If you need an eclectic assortment of stuff cheap, fast, and without having to wander a 10,000 sq ft store, ol' DG is where you should go. Pop in, browse their esoteric treasures, and pay a pittance. Can't beat that.Even if their name is a filthy lie.

It's a pretty big place for the large variety of things to buy. it's good to pick up almost anything. They have a large variety of snacks and frozen.

Reasonable prices and it's a"go to store" when shopping at a grocery store is too inconvenient. You can usually find any necessity getting milk to shampoo

There was nobody in the store so I was able to get in and out very quickly. The one downfall was that the sale item was extremely limited so I was unable to get the bargain I had gone in for. 😣
