Car key cut/programming isn’t a “real” service. They have only ONE person that “does it”, and nobody else knows a thing about it.Pay $300, and then have no clue when the fob will arrive, when the work can be scheduled, how long it’ll take, nor how to get this information.The “specialist” doesn’t have their own voicemail/extension, nor do they have an email address.Their availability is spotty(at best), and messages can’t be left for them.You’d be better off paying a mobile locksmith.

This place sure has changed. Years ago I stopped coming here and was frequenting other stores. Then I recently needed a specific light bulb I could only find at Costello's. Now, the service is quick, thorough and with a smile 😃

This is such a smaller store than a Home Depot, however the customer service here is far greater.Especially when Kaitlyn is working.Kaitlyn has extensive customer service experience and knowledge in all the departments.The rest of the staff is very good too but I get better service from Kaitlyn.

My last visit to this store was early in the morning and a woman customer who didn’t buy anything was making a lot of returns. I didn’t see any merchandise but she had multiple receipts and appeared to be getting refunds. I was the only other customer and I waited on the checkout line 15 minutes while this woman was getting her refunds. Finally I saw the store manager walking by and I asked her if she could open up another cash register. She went to a register and then said she could only take credit cards and I was paying cash so couldn’t assist me. Just then the other customer finally finished and I went to that register. The manager at no time apologized for the long delay and inconvenience. Fifteen minutes is a long time to wait. A half hour TV episode is 22 minutes long. I could have watched most of a sitcom in the time I waited on the checkout line.

Nice place, thoroughly stocked with a friendly cashier guy who was helpful. If I need hardware or even household supplies, I'm trying Ace first. One of the only places around to find twine. Once again I go in and within 5 minutes I have exactly what I am looking for. The cashier that day gets a ten out of ten. What can I say quality goods super human service.

What a great franchise.Ace has it all.Unlike Home Depot or Lowe’s, the staff is really personable and knowledgeable.They carry so many products.Even though it appears small, it has a lot of space tucked into the back of the basement.I have gotten things like beach umbrellas and keys copied here, as well as light bulbs and gardening shovels.Great location for shopping and parking is never a problem.Takes cash and credit.

I recently purchased a gas grill from this store and had a terrific experience! They had a sale so the price was very good (Weber Genesis) and included shipping and assembly. There was a small, minor glitch with the assembly, for which they came to my house and made the adjustment.I made the purchase over the phone, and the sales people and manager were extremely nice and helpful. I highly recommend this store.

Yesterday (7/1/2023) went to this store for a TSA lock. We were told to go to aisle 21 and found a TSA lock which requires to put 3 digit code. Even after reading instructions we were confused so we figured we ask for help. A skinny middle age man with blonde hair who works there was rude and had an attitude. First he told me to stop interrupting him in a rude manner I said sorry I was polite. When he said he has same TSA lock we asked him for help since we were worried messing up the 3 digit code. He says to my spouse “instruction is in the back read it!” What an arrogant man clearly he is not happy with his job or he was racist towards us. We only asked since he said he had used the same exact lock. Thank you for your attitude we left the TSA lock there at store and went to Walmart found a tsa lock with a key instead of digits and it was way cheaper than ACE. So thank you Sir for your rude attitude it saved us money 😊👍 and you lost a customer. If you continue this attitude this store you work at will go bankrupt by losing customers soon and you will be home without a job! Be thankful for your job and start treating your customer with respect regardless of race!

We went in to buy some paint and we got what we needed. The service was generally friendly and helpful. The prices seem a little high but not stratospheric. They keep the store open reasonable hours and parking is convenient. The items they had on sale seemed like a very good value.

I shop here for over 17 years. The staff has always been respectful, patient and helpful. They are the go place for my home for keys, air filters, and garbage pails among other things.Thank you for giving this store Charlie he does a great job. The staff is so important and some are still training but give them their chance to shine too. The family work life creates a nice community role model. Hope you find what you need on your next visit. I am proud to shop with them always. They have ordered items, explained what tips are best for my home heating system and more. Thanks for helping our community. The cashier/ sales person Kieran and three others too were on target, helpful, responsive and did a wonderful job helping me and others in store too.

Friendly staff. Small family owned business kind of vibe here. Has lots of stuff, especially considering the size of the store. Almost never low on stock with items. Huge parking lot outside. PRODUCTS ARE MUCH BETTER QUALITY THAN AT THE MEGA HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES. I even saw lots of Made In USA items! Great paint selection. I don't know, they just about have everything you may need and whenever i was in a pinch, they had whatever I needed with a good variety of choices. This is my go to hardware store.

Just left there after purchasing a shed that was almost too big to fit into my SUV. Their employee, Mario, made sure to do everything he could to get it into the car, including spending extra time to help me take out (or figure out how to take out) the two carseats that were blocking our goal. He truly went above and beyond to help me. I am grateful for his help and will definitely be back to this store because of him.

I went to get some paint and supplies on my lunch break. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Good selection and the price was better than I would have gotten at home depot. I got some good paint at a sale price and they accidentally mixed a larger amount of paint than I asked for originally but I still needed it and I was in a hurry so they offered it to me at a discount. Great experience.

Never disappointed. Staff is great. Young lady knows the store well and is always helpful and on the floor. Store manager also is great. Only thing that bothers me is just when i get the layout down, they move stuff around - drives me crazy. However, saved me many a trip to Home Depot.

Very satisfied with this location; store is laid out efficiently and items are reasonably priced. Vinny kindly helped me out with the items I was looking for, and was extremely knowledgeable about the location of products throughout the store. He exhibited professionalism and courtesy throughout my visit, even ringing up my purchases at the register. You can’t find assistance like that at most other places. I will return for future purchases and advice regarding my home improvements. Look for Vinny and you will find what items you are looking for.

Great friendly service. I almost always find what I need. So much better than a big box store. I love the paint selection. I have also found that they are on top of the seasonal items; like for the lawn or screen repairs and in the winter I can find whatever I need. Clean and organized

This past summer I brought all my window screens to be repaired. There were seven screens in all.The other day I noticed that my living room screen was tearing at the bottom by the frame. I went in to ask about their policy on this and was told that there was a 30 day return policy, I probably put it in wrong and tore it, we sell screen repair tape. I was told I could talk to the manager, but he wouldn’t help.I e mailed corporate, and Kurt told me he would pick it up, get it fixed and drop it back at my house.I told him I could bring it in.I brought it in and I spoke to Charlie the manager, who apologized profusely, said he was mortified that I went through that. He took it in to repair and gave me a gift card for my trouble.I have only the greatest things to say about my experience with both Kurt from corporate, and Charlie.Thank you both for turning a bad situation around.

It's a hardware store, it will have most of the basics you will need to get the job done. The staff here is very friendly in a mom and pops kind of way. They will speak to you like they've known you for years so expect a little blunt honesty that might make you cringe.Parking is free as it's in a shopping center. Be careful of people who walk around like they're not in a parking lot.Prices are mediocre. Some are reasonable and yeah, some are higher but it helps them stay in business so support them if you live nearby.

This ACE is great. Went to Lowe's, went to Depot could not find what I needed. A simple door latch & handle for a screen door. The customer service was fantastic and even the store manager Charlie called me to see if my order was correct. Their online ordering is GREAT and you can pay with PayPal. Installed it in less than 15 minutes. I love you guys....all for under $20.

Customer service is horrible. I bought up to the counter 12 screws nuts and washer. He asked what is the price. That is not my job to write down the price. I said I knew the sizes I got. He he said it not my job. I like to support local businesses. I think I will never go back there again. I will take the 20 min trip to Home Depot or Lowe’s.

I have been here tons of time and I have to say their customer service needs major help. I was looking for and item and couldn't find it, this older gentleman became frustrated when asked for help, "he was too busy putting out merchandise and didn't want to be bothered" he was really rude and unfriendly. Why are they so worried about putting out merchandise? Who will buy it if they don't want to help. Left and went to Home Depot. Don't waste to your time with rude and unfriendly staff.

I have to say I absolutely hate shopping in this store. Which I rarely do only because most of the workers are a bunch of young men and they completely ignored shoppers. Especially when you are black or a woman. No one would even ask you if you needed any help or acknowledge you. A while back, I was there shopping for some electrical supplies and several men have passed me and another woman shopper and not one of those salesman even looked in our direction or asked us if we needed help. The employees used foul language on the sales floor and even the manager I heard cursing, complaining and putting down his employees in front of the shoppers. I guess this is what qualifies as good customer service nowadays. I would rather do my shopping online or at Lowe's or Walmart which is not much better. But those stores have an excuse. These stores are too big and they don't have enough employees to take care of all the customers needs. But I'd much rather shop almost anywhere rather than shop at Ace hardware again. I have some spray paint that I need to return. but I would rather keep it and lose the money rather than return back to that sorry store. I'm sure most Ace hardware stores are much better than the Lake Success, NY store. But this store makes the company look unprofessional.

Although it looks like an old-fashioned hardware store there are many items available to purchase. It is located on the lower level of a shopping center and you take an escalator get down to the store.The aisles are labeled with what is in them making it easy to find what you want. The sales staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a discount program as well as a senior citizen discount available. Prices are reasonable.

Ive been shopping here for years and unfortunately the customer service has declined. What was once a nice mom and pop type hardware store has become a shell of its old self. I went in for a particular item. Could not find a floor person and when i finally did, this man couldn't be bothered, was very disinterested as if i were interrupting him. When i asked for the light bulb i was shopping for, he turned from me and said they didn't carry as he walked away from me. I always try to shop local and support small buisness but it looks like I'll be at my local Home Depot for my needs from now on
