Really disappointed. The betta fish are all dying in the tiny containers they are forced to rot in. the employees threw out an huge number of them in the past two days. It’s inhumane . Also I came into the store Friday around 5:15 and the man that helped me with fish tanks for two minutes then ran to register bc he said he was the only one working but then started unpacking boxes instead of coming back to help me with my questions. What’s really upsetting is every product regarding fish on their site all have terrible reviews. I’m not sure why petco doesn’t stand by their name and offer quality over quantity. Nothing they sell has adequate reviews to the point that they shouldn’t be selling these products. I wish I could speak to a higher up and explain what terrible experience it is as a customer.

We stopped by the Huntington Station store to buy a crayfish. The salesman, Christopher, went out of his way to help us. He was friendly and knowledgeable.

I’ve had issues in the past with them having things in stock but lately it has seemed better. They get 5 stars tho because of their employee (I hate that we didn’t ask her name and I’ll update this after we go back and find out her name!) helped us in buying our dwarf hamster. She was so knowledgeable and helpful. Sometimes at these stores the staff just feed you bs about the small animals (in past experiences of mine). We couldn’t have been more grateful for the wonderful employee who helped up. We got the sweetest baby and she really helped us get the right things for him. He’s so happy in his new home! Thank you!!!!

Went in there to buy a lid and a background for a fish tank. Person who “helped” me was thrilled to do so. They did a good job cutting the paper, but over charged me, no biggie. Went back for a refund and the person on the register almost threw up at how repulsive i looked trying to do so. I even apologized to them for it. Thanks for the help bud. #funtimesatPetco

My 9+ year old pit bull terrier/hound's favorite place. Find everything needed for Sammie, and staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Rich, who was working the night I was in, was extremely helpful on pet care options and partnerships. Listened well and gave very good advice.

Took my kitten here to be vaccinated and all the required shots! The vets really did a phenomenal job because my cat is a fussy one. They do price matches! And I just get everything my pet required here. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.

Just started using this location. Had a bad experience with the groomers twice. They seem lazy and don’t want to do their jobs. My Boston terrier received her rabies shot at Petco in Lakegrove and has a tag on her but wasn’t good enough to get her a bath at this location… Very disappointed…

The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful; if they don't individually know something about an animal they can point you in the direction of someone who does. Unlike most pet stores, this one is impeccably clean and well stocked, and that stock continues to the wide variety of fish they carry. I've been coming here for years and no other store I stop in has ever compared.

I love shopping here because the staff are so nice and helpful. Tonight I came home to find my beta fish, Morgan, sick with fun rotI called the store at 6:55 pm to see if they were still open and the girl who answered, Arians, said they were closing in 5 minutesWhen I told her I needed medication for my fish and that I lived close by, she waited for me to get there and had the medication waiting 4 me, even thought I got there at 7:05.I don't know if Morgan will make it but at least I tried to save him. She could have told me they were closing and to come in the morning. It's people like that that make shopping there a great experience.The only problem I have is that the store only carries high end food these days and my cats will only eat their fancy feast and meow mixThanks Ariana!!

This is such a great store!!! Staff is unbelievably friendly and so knowledgeable! I travel 25 min to come here when I have a Petco (Hicksville) less than 10 min away from where I live. People think that just having a product will get you to come in, but not me. I enjoy being greeted with friendliness and how employees seem to care about me and my fur babies! Best store!

Very helpful staff, i bring my golden retriever puppy in all the time and its great to let him sniff around and find toys that he likes and the staff helped me fit him with his collar and harness and helped me find safe and healthy food and treats. Highly recommend bringing ur pup in.

It might sound ridiculous to rave about a pet store, but I honestly can't say enough that would convey my feelings for this Petco and especially its employees! They ALL go above and beyond every single time I'm shopping there. Joe & Josh have not only helped me with the usual finding what I need etc, but they've also taught me so much about my pets' food and habits. I wish I could recall the names of the other employees as each and every one has been helpful and always makes my experience at Petco a great one.
