It's been a year since I found crackers made by Talbott and Arding at Churchtown Dairy. They were so good it made me curious as to what all they had to offer and I've been on their mailing list ever since. I was fortunate enough to return to the area and stop in. To say I had a blast talking to cheesemonger Andy is an understatement. Just a wonderful place all the way around.

Happened to pass the T&A street sign on our way out of town on Allen Street after an overnight stay in Hudson. Intrigued, we went in and were struck by the wide array of meats, cheeses, prepared foods and various grocery items. We were greeted by the friendly staff and the facility was clean, airy and well lit. Grabbed a prosciutto and cheese sandwich, a sausage roll, a potato and leek turnover, a cream donut and two hot coffees for our long ride home. Didn't purchase any meat or cheese items, although they looked to be top drawer. The sandwich and sausage roll were quite good but the turnover and cream donut were let downs. I guess my advice would be to stick with the meat and cheese and be careful with the prepared foods.

Talbot and Arding is one of my favorite places to go in Hudson. The store is filled with treats. All of the to-go food is delicious. The cheesmonger was super friendly and knowledgeable. It's hard to walk out with less than an armful of food and treats.

Amazing prepared food, kitchen accessories, cheeses, staples, meats, produce et al. The staff is very nice, polite, professional and helpful. Try the duck confit, chicken pot pie and celery root salad!

Great selection. Lovely cheeses and take away meals. The baguettes perfect with the cheese. We enjoyed everything we purchased. Be prepared for the premium prices.

We had Talbott and Arding cater our wedding farewell brunch in October 2023 and WOW was the food incredible! As a native New Yorker I was extremely impressed with the bagels and lox, and we ate just about all the food we ordered, which was a lot. It would have been nice to know the frittatas would not be hot, but luckily we were able to heat them up at the venue and they were still so delicious. The marketplace is very cute and has an excellent curation of food offerings too.

Outstanding. A destination in Hudson - local soaps, woven tea towels and epicurean books; local produce, dry goods and flowers; a deli & cheese counter that rivals the city … and prepared food that is so good, I often chose Talbott over dining out. This is a MUST stop.

I was asked to get coffee for one of my airbnbs at Talbott & Arding, and I couldn’t believe the assortment of delicious pastry’s, cheese and lots more! I couldn’t help myself but to purchase my own goodies. I am so happy I did. As an independent contractor, I am always looking for something delicious to eat on the go, and they did not disappoint. The staff was amazing and very attentive. I was having a rough morning and the friendly staff changed that 😊

You just cannot miss Talbot & Arding when you are in Hudson. World class food, cheese, snacks and so much more to treat yourself. My favorites are the Chocolate Whale, The Walnut Chocolate Cookie and the Tahini Date Balls!

Love love love this little spot. We got the focaccia bread, salami, Cabernet cheese and hot chocolate. It’s surly on the pricier side, but the quality is on point. You won’t be disappointed!

Purchased an item here and was triple charged. As I was leaving I looked at the receipt and realized it wasn’t correct. I went back to the cashier and she had no idea how to refund me. After being “refunded” I asked for a receipt and was first told that they couldn’t do that. I asked again and then had to do the refund transaction, including putting in my card, a second time to get my receipt for the refund. Three weeks later I was never refunded and my credit card company said that there were no pending refunds for my card. When I called the store I was promised that a manager would follow up and I never received a call. Totally understand that mistakes happen, but I can’t stand poor customer service. If a customer has an issue you should follow up as soon as possible.I also have a family member that recently received a very large gift card for this store and when they went to spend it they were told that the system had switched and it would not be honored.

We rolled by this morning on our way to somewhere in the area. i have not been here since they moved locations and really did not know much about the place.From what i gather, it's a gourmet market, coffee shop and bakery with an emphasis on prepared foods.Their coffee was delicious, their baked goods top notch and their muffuletta was next level. and on top of that staff was beyond welcoming and friendly.Firstly, they have a few different freshly baked breads and focaccia to choose from. while we didn't get any bread to take with us, we had their muffuletta on their freshly baked focaccia and it was the best version of thjs sandwich i have ever had. with homemade giardiniera l can positively say, this beats central grocery by a mile. while i may prefer a sharp provolone, at this point i am nitpicking. the soft "buttery" bread gives way to a tangy and delicious filling.we also tried an apricot fried pie that was just insanely good.while some locals may complain about the pricing but, what can you do. as far as gourmet places go, this not only has wonderful service but they deliver the goods. You get what you pay for, from service to quality, A plus

Omg. Incredible. Best focaccia I ever had..I got the round sesame. Impressive assortment of cheeses, baked goods, everything looked dangerously good. I bought a couple of items from their prepared food. Meatballs were very tasty and I can't wait to bake my potato, celery root au gratin! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Make sure you go to 202 Allen Street. I used a navigation system which took me to their old address on Warren Street. Consistently delicious!! Carrot cake and yummy chicken cabbage salad.

Very cool grocery store! Has an industrial atmosphere with cleanly organized displays of products. The staff were very friendly. We ordered a few large portions of cold salads for a wedding. They helped load out onto the street and into our vehicle. Thanks!!!

I am giving another review because the issues I encountered were so promptly and thoroughly resolved I felt it unfair to allow the complaints to influence anyone. Talbots and Arding understands the value of good customer service and that is a rare occurrence in our culture.

After an unfortunate experience in another shop down the street, my family and I stumbled upon Talbott & Arding. Needless to say our situation turned around quickly. So many meats, cheeses, pastries, breads, preserves, etc to choose from and all were delicious. Not too forget the BEST focaccia I’ve ever had. Will definitely return on our next visit to Hudson.

I ordered the fruit and nut loaf online.......OMG.......this will now be a yearly tradition. It is the best fruit and nut bread that I have every had. Sorry Mom.And I am someone who bakes a lot....and I will not even bother to make one on my own when this is perfection. The texture of the nuts and dried fruits and the perfect balance of flavor made me swoon. Each piece was savored. Thank you!

This is a very nice specialty supermarket that carries loads of local and specialty products. It would be a great place to go before a picnic. They have both hot and prepared foods as well as cheese and charcuterie. There's also a very nice bakery and they sell pizza and muffaletta sandwiches. The desserts they have are fantastic. Don't miss the burnt caramel custard. The only downside are their prices which are a bit high but they are definitely catering to the Brooklyn North set.

Delicious prepared foods, perfect if you’re staying in the area for a visit. We stopped by yesterday to grab some dinner that we could reheat at our rental later. We had an incredible little gem salad, chicken kiev, and shepherds pie. They do have a selection of cheese and charcuterie, but we had some already so did not get any here. Their food was amazing!
