Great farm with beautiful apple picking. Great variety of apples. Really enjoyed the empire apples. Did a day trip from NYC on a friday and it was the perfect get away, very calm environment. Chocolate milk and apple cider are a must get!!Taxi from Albany-Rensselaer was not bad. 233 Bus route is a 30 min walk away; however, it isn’t very frequent, so we only took the bus one way.

This is my go-to place to pick apples in the fall and as a bonus, they have amazing pies, free hayride and a small petting zoo that my daughter absolutely adores!!! 🐄🐐🐖🐕Kristy's barn has the best pies around.. they also have a free hayride daily that takes your throughout the extensive property of Kristy's barn... About an hour and a half all together... After about 45 minutes on the hayride, you get dropped off at Kristy's Barns little petting zoo.. where you can get food to feed the animals for cheap!! Last year there were goats & sheep available to feed & pet!I believe that Kristy's Barn either has reopened or their 2021 season; if not, they will DEFINITELY be open by the beginning of June!!

I'm sorry for this review, but I always remember this place exceptional, but my recent visit was very disappointing. The carrots were dirty and the size of baseball bats. The apple cider donuts were dry , dark, and tasteless.Empty shelves. Won’t be returning.

Kristys Barn is amazing. They have delicious fresh produce, Battenkill farms chocolate(and white) milk, tons of beautiful flowers and arrangements, and even live music on the weekends at times. Very family friendly. A great local farm!

Bait and switch game going on here. Called to see if blackberries were ready to pick. Was told yes but had a little rain so they were closing early. Ok. It's a 45 minute drive so Glad I called ahead. The next day, I called again to ensure there were berries available. Yes. Ok. I named the drive. When I get there I'm told no blackberries, we over picked this year. Rude young staff so I opted to leave and decided against buying anything from the store. Train your employees please.

Update ** Apple season - we decided to give Kristy’s another chance and had a great experience so I’m changing the rating back to 5 stars. The staff during apple picking season was very friendly and helpful. The cider donuts were fresh and absolutely delicious! There was a tractor ride available through the farm to the back where they had a small goat petting zoo set up and kids could go in and feed and pet the goats. There was a little pumpkin patch which made for a perfect place to take pictures. There was also a band playing in the parking lot area. I would recommend coming here for the small farm atmosphere. Down the street there is a great farm with a much larger apple festival. For our taste this was a little overwhelming to bring our toddler so especially with covid Kristy’s Barn was perfect!Strawberry picking season 2021 - 2 stars! Someone who appeared to be the owner was incredibly rude. Didn’t even bother buying the pie I came for.Very unfortunate because last fall we had a wonderful experience here.

What a beautiful place! Gorgeous hanging baskets, huge colorful caladium and unique baked goods and condiments. We got lovely strawberries and they also had tomatoes and other produce. Well worth a visit.

Kristys Barn is one of my favorite places to go for farm fresh produce! I started apple picking here a few years ago after not loving my experience at Goolds orchards and now come for strawberry and raspberry picking as well. Their crops are very well tended. This is a one stop shop for great family time, produce, delicious baked goods, canned jams/pickles, maple syrup, honey and more. I also love the charities they contribute too. I really appreciate a local business that gives back to their community.

Decent prices. Most staff were wonderful, however the final person we saw of the day was quite rude. :( even though there were not many apples on the trees the kids still had fun last weekend with the mystery and the hay ride and picking out pumpkins. Just wish out last remainder of hospitality had been better.

Called before I came to pick BLACK berries. Twice (once by both clerks) was sent to the red raspberries. Both said it’s behind the barn. After I picked the red ones and paid she said we have black ones already picked. She then proceeds to now say they are all the way down past the apple orchard. Can’t drive because it’s a road but ok. I take the berries to my car and come back and say I’ll use your container to pick the black ones now. I’m sorry but it’s after 5. I said two seconds ago I was able to go down but since I put my berries in the car now I’m too late. Not happy at all. I have to make a special trip again since I don’t live out this was anymore

Kristy's farm store is great. Produce is always good and fresh, always greeted with friendly smiles. They have so much to offer with beautiful plants in beginning in spring, activities for the kids. And a beautiful view of the scenery. I recommend this for everything to check out. I vote ,,,5 stars. Thank you for supporting our community. Linda

Great local farm stand. Their products grown their are really good. Nothing beats blueberries just picked. Pieces are a little high, but it's grown there, picked there, expected. Recommend going there. Food is real good

I picked up a bunch of red Swiss chard at the Delmar Farmers Market this morning, along with radishes, and scallions. The quality of the vegetables at the stand immediately drew my eye. While I was preparing the chard for a big salad, I noticed how crisp, colourful, and, yes, perfect each stalk was! It was the most beautiful bunch of Swiss chard I have ever seen. Worthy of a still life painting, dare I say.Next Saturday, I can’t wait to get more of their lovely veggies.

Picked peaches on Saturday. They appeared to be nice. Took them home and stored in cool garage. Went to use them on Tuesday and they were rotten. They appeared to be rotting from the inside out. I have picked peaches for over 50 years and never had this happen. They should last much longer than 2/3 days when stored in a cool place. They were expensive. I wasted a lot of money on them.

Nice place to visit. The staff is very friendly, easy to get to, fresh fruit and vegetables at a decent price. It's our families "go to" for picking.....oh and just picked up an enormous mum for our front porch.

We enjoyed bringing our 2 year olds there. They were able to walk freely throughout the strawberry patches without having to worry about overcrowding. Looking forward to purchasing their whole chicken which they sell monthly.

First time here but won't be our last. Chose two hanging baskets and the nice woman explained that they may not last the summer cuz they don't like full sun which is where we were going to hang them.

I purchased plants from here last summer for the first time. They didn't require any attention from me after they were planted. I was so impressed by the quality that I can't wait to see what they have this year.
