They don't list accurate information, and you can't go by their store hours listed. Even the sign on the door that says when they're going to reopen isn't accurate, which is frustrating when you can't get through to anybody on the phone either.Last year we purchased our plants here and we had massive problems with bacterial diseases and fungal infection. Paid quite the premium to bring the plants home too. The woman that works inside is pretty low patience and not pleasant to speak with.

Hilltop makes a big point of having a "native plant" section, but also chooses to sell invasive plants such as Burning Bush that spread and choke out the natives. While Hilltop does tag the invasive plants as "invasive plants that are harmful to the environment" as required by law, I'm taking my tree/plant business to other garden centers that are truly committed to the area - and don't sell invasives simply because they can.

I purchased 4 bushes/trees from Hilltop Nursery along with many other plants to replace some dead ones I had bought there last year. I took the smallest of the bushes home in my car and had the other 3 delivered with a yard of dirt for a separate project I had started. We agreed on a price to have the 3 dead bushes/trees removed and all 4 of the new ones installed and the dirt spread.When the landscapers arrived, they said they were only supposed to plant 3 of the 4 bushes and only remove two dead ones. I was not happy.The largest pine tree to remove was dead. They had replaced another dead one last year that was planted in the same hole. This year we agreed to move the hole away from an underground rock that probably was the cause of the other 2 trees dying.When I came back outside I was very unhappy to see they did not dig a new the hole but instead planted the tree in the exact same spot where the other 2 trees had died and then used most of my dirt I had ordered for another project to raise the ground level 9 inches around the base of the tree.

The staff there was excellent and very courteous. They explained exactly what was needed and didn't try to sell me on any products I didn't need. Glenn is phenomenal to work with. I had 8000 sf of land behind my house and all the trees trimmed, cleaned up, and prepped for a new lawn in 3 days. Their men are very nice and professional and always cleaned up when they left at the end of a days work. I will definitely be using them again for my next landscaping project.

Truly the best nursery I have seen in many years. Their selection of plants and trees is amazing and Glenn Griffin, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable about every and I mean every plant and tree known to man. Also his knowledge of selecting trees and plants and then arranging them in a garden is a beautiful thing to watch. He just selected plants and trees for our two front gardens on each side of our front entrance and came up with amazing plants and trees in the center island of our driveway. I strongly recommend Hilltop whether you just go there to buy a few plants or trees or need some serious landscaping, as we needed, Hilltop is the place.Thank you Glenn.

This place is nothing short of a “Garden of Eden”! With what seems like an infinite selection of both everyday and uniquely uncommon plants, shrubs and trees, I can't imagine why anyone would look any further for their landscaping and gardening needs. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The plants are gorgeous, healthy and well maintained - every one a showpiece and they stand behind them, too. When an infestation of spider mites took down my gorgeous spiral Alberta Spruce two years ago, they replaced it at no cost with a beautiful new one. They even educated me on how and what to treat it with and the products I needed were right there in their gardening center – one stop shopping!! I have followed their advice and am thrilled that it is flourishing this season with not an insect in sight. I bought my summer annuals there again this year and there was no waiting for them to grown and show off. The selection is amazing and all are well-established plants that provide instant gratification when planted at home. Need gardening advice? The owner is a skilled landscape design professional whose knowledge of plants, trees and garden design is second to none. I highly recommend Hilltop Nursery and Garden Center for all your planting and landscaping needs. They are simply the best!

My fiancé and I have visited this place multiple times. We purchased a small 2-3 feet Christmas tree at 125 dollars in a really tall pot to give the illusion it was 5 feet, which at the time I thought was a steal, now looking back why did I pay so much money for a tree that size. I have visited multiple nurseries in my life but after my recent move here, the prices are tremendously overpriced for organic material. We both have very rewarding careers but I would rather take the trip to other nurseries 20-30 minutes away than spend my money at this place. We need to support each other by also being reasonable to the community you serve.

I've been taking our baby here as a newborn and even now as a toddler, it's one of our top 5 favorite places to visit. So many varieties of healthy plants, trees, and shrubs! They're setup is so friendly and inviting. Their service is always the most helpful and sweet as can be. We're lucky to have this nursery in our neighborhood! Totally recommend!

I don't know much about the out door section or their planting services, I've been coming here purely for the indoor house plants all of which they sold me perfectly healthy and stable lil plants, a great change from relying on stores like Walmart that overwater or leave their plants to wilt

Hilltop did an excellent job with our front garden. They removed some old trees and shrubs and planted a lovely arrangement of shrubs, trees, and perennials. This was our second project with them, and they always go above and beyond. We decided to have this done a bit late in the season, so one of the plants we wanted wasn’t available anywhere. Rather than talking us into something else, they planted a similar one and offered to swap it out when the others are available. I always appreciate their commitment to making their customers happy.

I bought a tree from Hilltop, had it delivered, planted, and an existing tree removed. The price of the tree was reasonable and the cost of the labor was very fair. The guys onsite worked incredibly hard and they left my yard in perfect condition. Everything looks great. This is my first time using Hilltop and I was very impressed!

We used Hilltop for pruning five very tall trees. They came out very quickly and did a thorough job removing the dead wood and cracking branches. Glenn and his crew were courteous and professional. We appreciated that they moved lawn furniture and decor out of harm's way before beginning and returning it all to the proper places after they were done. They also cleaned the patio area well where lots of the debris had fallen.Glenn has been very helpful in going over new yard designs for upcoming improvements (i.e. patio, raised flower beds, rock walls, etc.) and is typically easily reachable during a job which we also appreciate.We look forward to using Hilltop again.

The selection of plants is impressive, they are good quality and well cared for. But the prices are very high and the customer service horrible- rude, dismissive, snooty, and unhelpful- especially if you are not caucasian. Plus there are no guarantees on any plants! If they die, even days later, it was your fault, according to staff. Not returning, not recommending.

This place is awesome. Great variety to choose from and nice for the kids to walk through to see the animal sculptures throughout. The owner helped us design a nice layout for our walkway. The staff helped to pick out plants that looked great as well as fit our budget. Will definitely be going back here for future planting needs.

Hilltop Nursery is fantastic! I stopped in because I see them every time I drive to work. They have done a lot of work since the last time I've been in, the grounds look great and there is a large selection of plants to pick from. I was completely unsure of what I wanted or needed to spruce up my yard and by the time I walked out of there I had everything planned, picked out and even was able to arrange for help planting so I didn't have to spend my days off doing it. The guys on staff were helpful giving me ideas for my partially shaded yard and also had suggestions for deer resistant plants. I can't say enough good things about my experience there. I will definitely be back for my Christmas tree this year and any planting needs in the future!

Bought Christmas holly and took it home and made a lovely arrangement. When I came downstairs the next day all of the holly leaves were on the table. Clearly not fresh. When asked the next day they said'it's not our fault. Plant's like that die inside.'Reminder it was in our house for 1 night. Stick with a credible name shop or even one of the Christmas tree pop-up spots. This place isn't worth your money.

I had an amazing makeover for my flowerbeds with Hilltop. From waist high weeds to very pretty curb appeal. Ezekiel did a really good job in figuring out what plants worked for my limited space and completely overhauled it's look. Not cheap but the end product makes it all worthwhile. I really appreciated your input, advice and recommendations. Whatsmore, two weeks later, despite the heat and humidity.....all of the shrubs are alive and thriving. THANK YOU EZEKIEL AND HILLTOP.

They did an excellent job in a short amount of time. Removed overgrown bushes in front of my house, designed, and replaced them with a variety of colorful bushes. Hilltop went beyond the contracted work transplanting some bushes, they could save, elsewhere on my property. My property was left clean without a trace of work being done except for my beautiful gardens.

I have to say this is absolutely one of THE best Nurseries I have ever purchased from or dealt with. The owner stands by his word and has been a pleasure to work with. My property is gorgeous now thanks to them and I’d been with another landscaping company, paid through the nose and got nowhere near the quality nor the service we get from these folks. The place is nice, and has a lot of plants. The salesperson seem in a rush. She walked away and didn't have any patience with us. She answer questions but looked annoyed. We looked around and left. We ended up at Home Depot.
