Place was clean, well organized staff, no long wait time. Pet got his exam, blood drawn, shot and nails clipped. The female veterinarian was easy to talk to. Explained everything in plain english. Staff friendly and helpful. Total time there not more than 45 minutes.

Honestly would not go anywhere else for our pets. They have so much compassion for the pets and their owners. They genuinely will do whatever they can to make any experience easier, even the sadness of putting a pet down.

We've used Howes Cave for several years and over several dogs, they always try to get us in if there is an emergency and have consistently called us back well past closing to check on our fur babies. All of the vets there have been attentive and thorough.

Have to leave a message to get a call back for an appointment which can be hard & not accepting new clients which makes it hard to get a local vet. This would be a 2 or 3 star rating for this part alone.When your pet does get in for an appointment the vets are great and listen to your concerns with your pet would give 5 stars for.With this said this is why they get the rating they do.

The Vets here are wonderful. They work with you on minimum procedures to save you money. We had an emergency with our dog. We were able to have tests, get 4 medications, full exam, nails trimmed, and walked out with a bill under $300. Thank God for them since we are retired and on a fixed income.

Our Dog who is a regular established paitent had an ear infection we left several messages to get an appointment and never received a call back . Meanwhile our Dog was suffering we took her elsewhere and will never return to Howes Cave Animal Hospital. So disappointing

The doctors are so caring and professional. Taking the time to listen and they genuinely care. We had to put our German Shepherd down and Dr Denise was so good with us and him. I have been bringing my fur family to them for almost 20 yrs. We live in Averill Park and it is a hike, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I highly recommend this clinic and Doctor's. I am so happy to have found such a great vet after moving out here. They are professional and very caring for your pets. My one dog has very high anxiety and they are very understanding of that and will sit on the floor with her instead of putting her up on the table as all other vets have done with her. I always appreciate the special consideration they give to each pet.

They helped me when my dog was sick and I had no money to get her seen. They don't often bill people and sign agreements for bills to be paid at a later date due to so many people abusing their kindness but they did for me because I am a loyal customer and I bring all my other animals there. I am beyond grateful for their compassion and understanding to help my dog get better!

Dr. Bonsell and her staff is absolutely wonderful! Brought my Border Collie in after an accident and they were quick to assess the issues. She did an amazing job on his surgery to repair his injuries and she saved his life. Thank you so very much! My family is so appreciative.

One of the most caring veterinarian office I live in Rotterdam and I feel it's worth the drive. Even during the pandemic we were allowed to go in the exam room ,no having to send your babies in while you waited in the car. Also their pricing in reasonable.I recommend them highlyA+A+A+A+A+ ☆☆☆☆☆

Staff and doctors are great at treating animals. But if you need your animals records to be sent over to a new doctor or even yourself, forget about it. New, multiple vets have been asking for records for over a year and they just won’t respond. So I called up myself to ask, they said twice they would send them over to me personally and still never received them. This dosnt just go for one of my animals, they did this for my cat as well.

They were fantastic with my beloved Bo. He was 17 and I knew what needed to be done in my mind but my heart said otherwise. They were patient, caring, and helped me through the hardest decision I had to make. They were caring to listen and give me time before anything was done and let me stay with him till the end. Then gave me time to be alone with him for my last goodbye. They were truly caring and compassionate and did not judge that I wanted a private cremation for his ashes to be returned to me. During what felt like the worst time of my life they helped my best friend cross over the rainbow bridge with dignity!
