I looked this place up and raced across town, knowing very well I'd only have 5-7 minutes to shop for my daughter who needed a dress for that night. I told her before we got inside we'd have to make it quick and look at only dresses because they closed at 5. as soon as we got in the door, the lady working behind the counter immediately said, we are closed. I said "I thought u closed at 5?" the other lady goes," it is 5! we are closed." I immediately took my phone out as we turned to leave and it saw it was 4:55. they were rude and apparently they don't close at 5 but 4:55. I get it was close to closing time but it's not a restaurant where we were coming in last minute to order food. We knew we'd have to be fast and what specifically we were gonna look at. After the rude encounter, I will never shop there or any Pookies for that matter.

I stopped in and 1 of the employee said we close at 5 but the website says you close at 6 and it wasn't 6pm yet.

Friendly customer service with a great selection of hats, purses, accessories, dresses and more. My only nitpick, and mind you, it is a very minor one, is that it does not have a wider selection in shirts and long sleeve blouses.

Consigner families should be better supported with earning or store credit and not just a dollar if it gets sold. The small consignment in Arkport will calculate the sale value and give store credit immediately or cash. I couldnt get an item I wanted cause of a stain found though they state no wrinkled and stained excepted. I won't be consigning to make the rich richer. I'd rather give them to a family in need before I do that. For very nice clothes worth much more I could be getting alittle more for them than a dollar earned by pookies. Then they just rid them after 6 months with pick up option.

Was the best thing to come to Hornell. I have 10 grandchildren so shopping here for them is so easy and it doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Friendly employees
