Absolutely wonderful. Dawn and her employees are so involved and care so deeply for the animals they sell. I have gotten many of my scaley/feathered/furry friends in this shop. The service is impeccable and it's so nice to go into a place where the people working are not only helpful, but truly love the animals. You won't find another owner who cares the way that Dawn does. This is not just a pet store, it is a sanctuary for the unwanted. She is always willing to take in animals that may not be the right fit for the owner at the time. If she is unable to adopt them out she cares for them and gives them the best life. She is there 7 days a week to clean cages and provide fresh food/water/bedding. If you are looking for a locally owned, humane pet store this is the one!!

Super helpful and patient with my little boy and our endless questions. Looking forward to visiting again once we decide on which pet will be his first. Wish there were more animals like dogs and cats though. But liked the selection besides the fish. Some were loaded with dead ones that thankfully my son didn't notice. Still a wonderful place.

Friendly people that are appreciative of the business. The store was very clean, and animals well taken care of. I was especially impressed by the hermit crab tank. The crabs were healthy and active. I've never actually seen them moving in other pet stores.

My friend and I went in inquiring about buying beta fish. Obviously we wanted 2 so we could each have “our own”, we heard some things about them being territorial and dominant so we asked questions about EVERYTHING we had concern for. The ladies told us if we were to get 2 female beta fish they would be okay in the same tank. We picked out the tank, fish, plants, food etc. right at the store. We asked if the tank we were buying was a good size and if they could be in there together, she said yes that tank is perfect. After about 2 days we realized our fish aren’t eating. So we call a professional, I asked what food and how often I should be feeding my fish, he says they don’t eat much they could be full, I said well there are 2 and sheer panic came from his voice saying i needed to separate them immediately that female are more dominant and territorial than males and one is stressing the other out and that’s why they weren’t eating. So scrambling to find a new tank for one fish, and coming home to a dead fish. I called and requested money back seeing how we spent $69 and all she would offer was a refund for the $5 fish the cheapest item, these people do NOT know what they are talking about and I just wasted more money than I needed to. I will never return. 1 star is a generous rating.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I actually found a baby mouse outside their shop in the parking lot and they came and picked it up and took care of it. Told my grand kids they were returning it to it's mommy and that I thought was very compassionate of them since my grand kids were all under 5.

The woman who was there was wonderful! My friend and I stopped by for fish supplies, and she knew what she was talking about. Also gave us a number for a cab back to our college! A very lovely person, and all of the animals seemed well taken care of. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite store to shop at in Hornell, NY! The staff are super helpful and friendly and always have my crickets ready to go when I walk in the door. The owner Dawn is extremely knowledgeable on pets; everything from snakes to puppies she’s stocked with supplies. I really love the fish room and the Bearded Dragons! I love that she keeps the lizards in the appropriate sized tanks and I truly admire the dedication the staff has towards the animals.

Absolutely love it! The owners are the friendliest people, and they really care about their animals. I'm usually sketchy about pet stores, but this one is legit. They always have great supplies for my little baby (gerbil). My boyfriend and I just purchased a beautiful black rat and we couldn't be happier! Fantastic store.

I recently moved up here from Florida and was in need of Green Tripe for my dog. Talked to a very nice woman who took the information and said she'd check into it for me. About a week later I had the tripe! Excellent customer service. Will be going here regularly for my pet's needs.

Went in looking for a Guinea pig. Great selection, males and females separated in big cages. Clean environment and friendly and helpful owner. Raised and breed in store. Variety of small pets, fish, & reptiles. Prices for small pets seem reasonable.

Considering that it's the only pet store in the area, it's ok. Could REALLY use a good cleaning (and yes I understand animals can't tolerate harsh cleaning chemicals), and a remodel/renovation. They do have most commonly chosen pets, a few exotics, and can order what they don't have in store. Friendly and helpful staff. :)

We bought 2 guinea pigs for our kids for Christmas and they are just the happiest animals! I am so grateful for this gem of a place in our community! Also, they have such fair prices for pet needs!

Such wonderful place. The owner has everything you might need for your dog, cat, fish, bird....and always gives great advice. Love the personal service. Much better selection than the large stores in town with competitive pricing.

I enjoy shopping at Over The Bridge Pet Supply. Dawn is always friendly & helpful. She carries quality pet supplies, & adorable pets. I saw a cute little lizard there today. But, since my kitties would view him as a snack, I wasn't tempted, to take him home.

Employees very courteous. But way too many animals for that small of a store. Poor ventilation, dust everywhere, smell of urea, so sad to see so many intelligent birds and mammals and even reptiles so cramped together. I'm all for local but not like this.

Very disappointed upon entry of this store. They lack to provide even minimal care for their animals, their hamsters are on barred wheels that can cause bumble foot (fatal infections), they provide hardly any bedding for the small animals who naturally burrow and are in need of bedding to feel any form of safety/comfort. The blue tongue skink had horrifying stuck shed on his face and was wheezing from a respiratory infection due to lack of humidity. (They put this tropical animal in a desert set up and fed him incorrectly.) I would reccomend the owner and employees all go over animal care sheets, even online to treat these animals humanely and not end up selling an animal that won't last long. My heart was broken to see these animals suffering under these circumstances. Fingers crossed you take this criticism into consideration for the sake of the lives of these animals that are trusted in your care.
