We had the worst experience with this store that is located in Hornell, New York. We purchased a stove, along with an extended warranty. Within three days, we realized the stove was not heating properly and was obviously defective. This is right before Christmas, we had numerous people coming to our home for dinner, which was ruined. We reached out to the store and were told that there is a 48 hour return policy, which we were never told about. Chris and Zack really need help with their customer service skills or lack of. We were told by these employees that they personally could not come out and fix our stove because they are not technicians, and there is nothing they could do to help us except tell us to use our newly purchased warranty and try to make an appointment for a technician to come out. Our stove was not even four days old and we had to use the new warranty because Lowe’s refused to fix this problem. I would not recommend this store to anyone. We are still waiting for someone to come out and it is already New Year’s Day. I have had so many meals ruined because the temperature keeps changing in the oven, and have wasted a lot of food since none of it cooked properly. So think twice before going to the store, They will not help you if you have any appliance issues after you recently purchased them. they should’ve offered to replace the stove immediately, so we have had to wait over a week and a half to get someone to come out to fix this. This was the worst experience ever. I’m sure they would never refund us for all the food that was ruined, and they could care less that this happened prior to Christmas. We are still waiting!

Hornell NY usually go to Webster but they only had the 4'x 8 pressure treated fence for what I need there. Customer service folks were everywhere and helpful.

I should have known better than to buy an appliance from Lowe's and supported a smaller local buysiness but was caught in a jam right before Christmas needing a new stove. Upon arrival of the stove a week later, we realized the oven temperature was actually lower by 75 degrees than stated. I called the store and was told by customer service that "they don't know how to fix it" and there's a 48 hour return policy which was never mentioned when paying for the stove. I was told the return policy stickers are on the desks. I went back in the store and saw that the return policy sticker is on the front of the desk where I paid beneath the register. The manager of the department rang me up and never mentioned this 48 hour return policy or even suggest leaning over to squint and read the policy on the desk while wrapped up in paying him and giving him my delivery info. Meanwhile, the oven ruined the food we attempted to cook with it's 75 degree difference. Not to mentiion, I was also told I'd have to take it up with their fulfillment center out of Syracuse even though I paid in Hornell. I didn't hire a third party to get involved but that's the answer I was given. Incredibly unhelpul as they had no problem taking my money. A week later and I'm still waiting on the repair person who I had to call using the warranty I purchased. Do not buy appliances from Lowe's unless you're looking for diappointment.

Big shout out to Carter in the paint dept. He was absolutely amazing today. As busy as he was he helped me and others in a timely manner and was great with helping me pick a pain base for my needs!! Very professional guy Great job!

No organic grass and one of the cilantro died in a day but I was able to find what I needed. Plus p. Sherman my tortoise likes his new garden area! And the lows rep had me purchase 300.00 in plumbing materials saying its what i needed and 95 percent was wrong and lowes will not allow Exchanges I don't want the money back I just want the right equipment but nope nope nope They do not allow that so be careful what you buy make sure it's what you need because they're scumbags

Favorite place to go to , only complaint I have is on there products that are moved with fork lifts , most things like tool boxes I've bought have damage .Bought a work bench with drawers under , it was damaged ,Bought 3 large tool boxes , two were damaged.But one they did give me a discount so I'm good and will continue purchasing

There delivery people can not find your house . Even when they drive by it 3 times. In a small town. That is hard to believe. So my brother inlaw had to go to Home Depot to get a refrigerator

I am very disappointed in my experience at Lowes today. My father is a United States Veteran and was given such a hassle at the check outline. The employee, Todd was very unprofessional and not personable. My father, who is elderly, had to take his ID out three times to be scanned and we almost did not get the discount! He then proceeded to tell us we needed an ID to use the in store credit that we just got yesterday. Mind you, they convinced us to get in store credit because we would get the money faster. It was attached to my husband's ID who was an hour away. Thank got he answered when I called to get his ID number. We have spent thousands of dollars at Lowes with both our company business card and personal cards. I cannot believe the hassle we were given. This employee should be fired immediately and all staff should be given training on how to interact with the public....do better Lowes....

Awesome experience. Went there to find fence posts. Store clerk saw me milling around and immediately offered his assistance. Helped me find what I was looking for. Very knowledgeable and had great ideas. Cashier at check out was amazing and very nice. The folks at the Hornell Ny location are always amazing. It's my go to...

Lowe's is always such a good experience! I visited today to get a key cut, and the service was very quick and friendly and I left with the confidence I had the correct key. I also left with a Christmas tree I hadn't planned on but the prices and selections were too good to pass on.

I love your guys products but your delivery service is the WORST and will never buy anything again from you guys. When I have to help bring in the product (fridge) because the delivery service can't is insane and I'm VERY disappointed. I was told they would bring the product in for us! Also loom at the HUGE dig mark brand new and this is what I get

Went to pick up an order, the customer pick up service walked around for a long time trying to find my order, turns out the pavers I wanted that were online (in stock) were not there and haven't been there. Wasted so much time and it was just embarrassing! Very poor customer service especially in the garden area. The employees are just lost.

The store opens at 6 am. Was just in there at 7 15 and there is no one at all available to take orders for Windows , doors , siding etc.They don’t arrive until 9 am. Well by then we are working at a job.That’s why I normally go to Home Depot. They deal more with contractors and have staff on hand. But the closest one is 35miles. So I will travel and order it there as I do have work there also.Who ever heard of starting at 9 am for a home improvement store?

Clean, modern store. Much more product selection than their competitors......the loading team at check out excelled with helping me load a big, heavy patio door. No complaints, just smiles! This store could serve as a model for the perfect shopping experience!

I was unimpressed by the customer service at this location today. The cashier in building materials was very good, however, the remaining staff from plumbing to building materials (that is the entire store at this location) customer service was significantly sub par. There were a few hellos from store employees, but never a helping voice as to whether I needed help in finding something. I was able to find what brought me to this location, and I do hope all the employees in their small chit chats were able to catch up on one another's weekend experiences, not everyone was distracted, there were some employees busy with store related activities, stocking shelves, scanning locations to update inventory for restocking,etc. I can't imagine customer service the day after a Buffalo Bills game.

This is getting ridiculous. I’ve got 40 items that total around $600 and several items dont have bar codes to scan. Items are falling out of the cart, I am trying to delete a double scanned item, and no staff willing to assist. Several Lowe’s staff are standing around, literally observing the Frey. The one “manned” checkout closed down, sending the remaining line to self checkout. People in line are frustrated, took me over 5 minutes to attempt to check out. I gave up, left the remaining items in the cart and closed the order.Higher prices. Less staff. Self checkout only. Nobody in or around electrical depot to assist. Horrible shopping experience.

A couple things, hire more people to help. If you can’t get them .. pay them more. I’m on the phone right now and it’s been 10 minutes because they keep transferring me to every department I don’t want. The fridge I bought has gouges in it because the employee that loaded it just shoved it into my truck even though I said wait. I guess it was more important for him to go back inside. Thanks a lot!
