They are small yet seem to have some of everything tightly packed in there. Very convenient location. Best personal customer service that makes me choose to spend my money at a local hardware instead of at big box store further away. On every occasion, upon request for an item location, I’ve had that store assistant stop what they’re doing immediately, engage pleasantly and escort me to the exact location of the thing I want. They stay to make sure it is indeed what I need, and wait for assurance that I’m all set before going back to their previous task.

William Tell Hardware in Hopewell is the best brick and mortar store I can ever remember . Carrie and the stuff are polite, intelligent , always there to help above and beyond .. I have shopped at this location before but it’s been a while. Always a ok experience not great but not bad. I called 4 times this morning every time I was told our call got disconnected but could hear the person hung up(like on a cord phone) Funny because one of the times I was standing outside the door and heard the phone get put down “disconnected” as I was talking. Anyway I called back, was put on hold, waiting 5 minutes outside, went into the store on hold and the manager is telling another employee to tell the person on the phone they will call me back. So I ask the same question, she just tell me this product is in this isle, the product she is telling me about was not what I was asking for on the phone…so I verify what I need and she just pretty much responded in a way that was short and direct. Not offering to have anyone help or show me. Then I am checking out, they need to call a manager (for a .79 lollipop) and it is the same women on the phone. The only good things is the cashier was nice, polite and the store had what I needed. So it all worked out.For a local business with higher prices I would have thought better help but it was actually worse. Should have just went to Home Depot or lowes

We have been coming here for years! Always our go to in order to help local businesses stay in business. I made a $70 purchase the other night and forgot my $10 coupon ($10 off $50 or more). I explained to the cashier that I forgot my coupon at home and was told it was fine to bring it in the next day with my receipt which I did. Then the lady with the short black hair/glasses (I believe the manager) refused to credit me saying I would need to bring all my items back to return and repurchase- really? They could have easily scanned the bar code on my receipt and/or check the numerous purchases we’ve done over the years. Bad business practice and very disappointing to treat a long time loyal customer in that fashion. Not the money, but the principle. Sadly, bye William Tell True Value Hopewell Junction. We will take our business elsewhere.

They've got some cool stuff but I went there for a drill they didn't have what I wanted I saw a rake I liked and iron rake a metal iron rake it was $114 are you kidding me double the price if you look online that's a little extensive.

Went to buy a toilet hose and took the wrong one. Went back with the original hose to mach up the size of the connectors and was given the same hose back and was told the hose they gave me was the same size hose as the one I showed them. Turns out the one they gave me does not screw into the valve as its a larger diameter. Went back again and showed them the difference and told them that the person that tried to help me did not know what they were doing. This is why I will not shop local especially in a hardware store in town. Went to Home Depot and got the correct size at a lower price.

I recently purchased a Weber grill with assembly and delivery included. Unfortunately I had an issue with the ignition system not working that evening. I called and the gentleman that delivered it told me he would be at my house in ten minutes. He showed up as he said and in less than ten minutes had the problem resolved. I’m happy to see that there are still businesses that care about their customers. William Tell has been an asset to Hopewell for as long as I can remember.

Was in there today purchasing deck stain. The young girl helping us as well as the rest of the young staff were helpful and polite. If it was just for them I would be giving this place 5 stars. However, While we were in their two customers dropped a can of paint which quickly covered the floor. The young girl helping us radioed quickly for someone to help clean it up. The manager (believe her name was Carry) proceeded to come over SCREAMING at the girl and the other employees over the radio. This continued on for a while as the staff tried to help clean it up. No reason at all to be treating employees like that especially when it was a customers fault for the mess. So shout out to manager Carry we will be taking our business elsewhere and telling others to do the same.

The customer service is terrible. I have never experienced such bad customer service. Not to mention they over charge for everything. I made a purchase of $188. I was unsure which item I needed for the repair so the store owner said buy both and return the one, I didn’t need. I went to return it and they would not refund me. They said it didn’t match the box. However THATS what was given to me. The manager Rich was so rude to me and arrogant. Do not shop here. Your better of going to Home Depot.

Was 2 feet from the door and employee started closing the door. I asked "you open?" He said "we closed 7 minutes ago. Sorry. Come back tomorrow I said "just have to get one thing" he said "come back tomorrow.They should never close the door in a customer's face. Poor service. Tomorrow I'll take my business to another store!!

They literally have ANYTHING you need, or didn't know you needed until you saw it in their store. Employees are accessable and know their stock well, but they're not pushy or obnoxious like some other places. Service the way things used to be. It's hard to find that nowadays, but this place is a real gem!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Like with any "local" business you have to know your prices. Usually inline with larger box stores. You sometimes have to weight price difference vs time and gas. Excellent store nonetheless.

I am so happy this hardware store is open for business again! It has been a rough patch with no choice but to use the big box companies whom are unlikely to be of much help.The idea of providing outstanding customer service will make these people successful for many years to come.

New location in the plaza is not the true value that it once was. 2 years ago the store burned down and they were forced to relocate to a smaller storefront. The owners are still the same and the staff is more knowledgeable than any major home improvement store. I will always support this store.

Got 2 safety keys cut for my new car keys. $6.50 each and prompt and polite service! Way cheaper than the $45 each I was quoted at a local locksmith

Great place, Pretty easy to find items. They have a plumbing section ,Electrical etc. I miss the old store. It was like something out of Mayberry.
