This ACME is horrible. Food is always close to expiring or already expired. My son bought his favorite gourmet crackers tonight, Sunday, 4-14-2024 and the expiration date on the box is ... JANUARY 14,2024 !! Expired 3 months ago!! This isn't the first time that ACME has food past expiration. It happens constantly. The produce is not fresh either. This has been going on for quite awhile at this store. Check expiration dates before you buy anything here .

The staff there are always pleasant and helpful at the Hopewell store. Especially Fi..she's always so kind and always helpful if there's a question or you need help while checking out..etc. Always a great experience!

2/19/23 visited again today to return bottles and pick up some snacks. Great to recognize Josh the pharmacist after not being in for a few months. I do miss the Newman's Own black bean and corn salsa.12/11/22 update Just visited prior to the first major predicted snow of the season. Shelves were full. Staff was festive and all seemed ready. Keep up the good work serving hopewell when they need you most.This Hopewell Junction Acme assumed the original A&P location and retains the original layout. It is built roughly in the location of the Van Wyck home that has since been removed. I chose this store primarily to take advantage of ⛽️ points, however this store has much to offer. Jason in the meat department is literally my hero. Though I have never met him I have heard all the stories of deals he has cut the shopper in my family. I always enjoy his signature special cuts. It's good to know there is a real butcher in Hopewell. I have also used the pharmacy and received vaccines at this location. They have recently added cashless self-checkout. Almost always a positive experience. Check them out. 👍 👍

This store has come a long way since it switched from A&P. Here is some good and bad. People in the store are mostly friendly and super helpful. What I have an issue with is a few employees that brings the entire store down. Deli could be a hit or miss. Sometimes you wait forever other time the service is quick. It’s never consistent. Also, watch your refunds. This is the second time in a row my refund wasn’t processed correctly and it never came through. And the ladies at the customer service will continue to argue that they did everything correctly instead of fixing the issue. Last time it took me 10 days to get the money back and I have to keep calling the store for an update. Another issue is this one lady who is sometimes at the self check out counter. She goes out of her way to be extra cautious and makes people uncomfortable. I understand you are doing your job but so does everyone else but I have never seen anyone else behaving like the way she does as if she is from FBI. We give a lot of business to ACME due to the location but on any given day you don’t know which ACME you will get … the one that’s amazing or the one with lots of service issues.

Great store and so conveniently located….. some days I am here 3 times a day. Service is always great and overall the store is always well stocked. So fortunate to we have this grocery store right in the heart of the town…..so perfect for those mid week grocery runs.

Most of the employees do their their best to be helpful.However who ever is in charge of the produce allows Way Too Much thoroughly rotten fruits and vegetables to remain on display.Anything you want to purchase MUST be very thoroughly inspected.I have never experienced this anywhere else.

The store is clean, has a lot of options, but I find the prices on the higher end. I dont go here a lot, only when I'm in the area and just need to grab something on the way home.

I always enjoy this Acme. The workers always remind me of being in the south. They are very friendly and genuinely care about their customers and their lives. The supermarket is adequate. They seem to carry most of the things you'll need. I just wish the meat department was a little better. Sometimes there is beef out that is clearly not fresh. But other than that it is a well run supermarket.

Overall this is a good supermarket and has pretty much all the basics and more. Prices are competitive to other local supermarkets in the area. They could use some more people at checkout though, although the line is not too bad and they do have ample self checkout. There is a pharmacy in the store too. Parking is ample ,but sometimes you might have to park a bit far from the entrance.. That's my take of it!

Steven in the deli is a very pleasant man, he is courteous, and attentive to what you ask for. I go in almost every day and ask for a pound of ham shredded! Steven does it perfectly every time! He never rolls his eyes or has a comment about what I’m asking for.Thank you Steven!

I shop here regularly. However today the cashier void my coupons . So none of my coupons was taken off. This is not the first time this happen. She also rang me up so fast that she broke one of my bag of peanuts I did not know until I got home that my coupons was missing. I could not go back since I have someone at home to take care of. You need to check your receipt before leaving.

It is a little over priced compared to the other markets that are near by but everyone has their own flavor and comfortability when it comes to the places you decide to purchase your groceries from. It is always your choice.

Updated: STILL over priced, but has gotten A LOT better on some items. Their app does offer additional savings along with points you can cash in for items or $$ off your bill. Staff always makes you feel like you're bothering them or its a privilege to address them. If money isn't a concern for you, then make this your "go-to" store. Cheaper at Hannafords & Walmart, it could be from 2/3 to nearly half the cost. Not kidding!!!

Been a loyal customer from day one. Today I needed one paper bag. Have purchased many reusable bags in the past. I had a paper bag that was obtained from the adjacent register. Maryanne retrieved the bag from me and placed it under the counter.She stated, with attitude that she would have to charge me for the bag, that she was not going to lose her job because I didn’t want to pay for a bag.I let her know that your going to lose a excellent customer over the cost of a bag, told to do what I have to do and have a nice Easter. Is a Paper bag really worth losing a customer and an employee?Luckily we have many other options in the area that don’t charge for a a bag if you forgot to bring in your reusable.

Edit - Noticed someone else made this same complaint 6 months prior. Store responded that they take it seriously. Same issue 6 months later? Serious? Wasting peoples time and not even concerned about it, I would say.Online Ordering Review - Placing the order online was simple and easy. No problems there but if you wanted a "No Contact" or "Deliver to your car" experience, forget about it. Ordered 38 items, 6 or 7 were substituted and you are not told until your order is ready. Specific pet food was just substituted. My pets did not appreciate that much. Pickup instructions were COMPLETELY wrong. It asked for parking location, vehicle color and type. It told me to be ready to present my CODE through the window (I had covid). I arrived, confirmed I was there and supplied the information. I sat, and sat, and sat. I waited. Nobody came out. I then checked my phone and it said it was picked up 5 minutes ago. Not by me! I walked into the store and there by the door was my cart full of groceries that anyone could have walked away with. I located and employee and asked if it was in fact my groceries. She just waved me away and told me to take them. She never asked for the code. Not until I got home did I then realize the items that were out of stock and substituted. Too late to correct WHILE I was at the store. What a shame. I love this store. But I will be going down the road from now on.

Decent selection and prices... some items seem to not be re-stocked all the time, just on certain items. Overall, I come to ACME quite often and there's no major complaints.

I never go to ACME unless I'm desperate! Everything is so over priced and they make a killing on everyday items. Most people in my town go there because it's convenient. Not if you're on a budget! ShopRite is 5 minutes down the road and doesn't steal the change in your pocket.

Great staff but everything you buy that is "on sale" may not be on sale because the sale tags on items are expired for like a month and still left on the shelf with the merchandise, they will honor it but jeez an extra 10 minutes so someone can verify the tag and come back to ok it.

Wide selection of groceries and many sale items. They have all brand names, including Boars Head cold cuts. Beautiful selection of flowers. Easy in & out, plenty of parking.

Best local supermarket ever!! Workers are all friendly relatively smaller supermarket so it’s never super crowded. Acmes prices could seem to be a little high but if you use the app and stay on a budget you’re good to go!

Chickens aren't cooked enough. The so called " FRESH" fruit bowl still contains bioengineered fruit!! Alot of the Pepperidge farm cookies are 2 days away from expiration. Customers would prefer FRESH fruit bowl without bioengineered fruit!!!

It's good. Does not carry all the brands I buy but I'm able to use them in places like Virginia as Safeway Supermarkets. Good Deli and Floral Department with a very nice individual who will personalize your choices. They were very useful in the spring when the Pandemic hit full swing. They were the only store in the area with bread and sanitizing products.

The market is very clean, well organized. However, I felt like an outsider, like I didn't belong. Customer service skills definitely need to be improved. I believe I would've been treated better if my skin was the same color.

Great store, very clean. One star deducted because the "manager" with long dark hair is an absolute wretch who is not made for a public facing position. I observed her condescending and rude behavior without even interacting with her and it was enough to turn me off from returning.

The customer service is great. The sales are reasonable each week. The only complaint I have is the availability of the Arizona Green tea bottle cases. Sometimes they have them and other times either weeks or months until they have them in stock. I have to go either to Shoprite or stop & shop and Waltmart to purchase them. I have to say the store is clean. The cashiers are really nice and helpful explaining the ACME app savings.

Don't go to Acme in Hopewell if you want fried chicken, fryer is CONSISTENTLY NOT WORKING ... I ordered the other two chickens offered and they were tasteless and dry
