Manager Named Johnny is very nasty. I dont know how he is even a manager. He never helps his employees out with bagging or ringing up customers. He shouldnt be a manager and shouldnt be working in customer service. His attitude is disgusting and he treats his employees like garbage.

I stared at the store manager in front of the cash register for almost two minutes and he ignored me when I asked if he wanted to charge me. He gestured with his eyes towards the other empty cash register, and I told him it was empty. Then, he reluctantly called one of the employees who was arranging merchandise to come and charge me. I could have easily left with the merchandise without paying, and that manager wouldn't have cared. That's why the United States is getting worse, with employees working with hatred and unwillingness to work, without gratitude for the job and for living in a great country.

19909 Jamaica Ave, Hollis, NY 11423. this is the worst Family dollar to come to never open on time. today is Sun 28 jan they supposed to be open at 9:00 it's 10:20 and not open. There's a Family dollar employee standing outside smoking a cigarette and on his phone telling customers that they're not open. the manager is very rude and disrespectful if you ask him a question he always have a attitude he does not make you feel welcome to shop there. Try to avoid coming to this Family dollar if you can.

This family dollar closes 10min to 15min early. Every day. You get to the door after rushing there with 15 mins to closing and the same guy is giving you the close gesture. Then they always rushing you when you in there 30 mins before closing. Totally unreliable this place.

This store is a hot mess..the store manager is not equipped for that title..he gets upset when his signs say something else and the items ring up differently..he is very rude and need to be replaced by a machine….how do you act like that with such title..straight disrespectful

Not a dollar store, prices start at $1.25 and up. Quiet location, lots of deals and a wide variety of merchandise! From frozen foods, nice frying pans, clothing for adults and children! As well as clogs, sneakers, flip flops, toys, large palmolive, just so much! The inside is much more flattering than the outside of the store! Great spot!

I wish I could leave no stars EVERY time I come here the Spanish man (I think the manager) is absolutely NEVER helpful and has the worst attitude. The staff especially the cashiers are less than helpful spent $84 and the young girl couldn't even put 1 of my items in the bag and when I asked were they allowed to pack bags she said it depends if there's a line..... as she says this from the same side of the Register I'm on....so absolutely no line lol if you don't like your job then why be there? this place is always a problem and I've been there several times over the years I can say staff is consistent on giving the worst customer service if their not outside smoking cigarettes

Nothing special about this store. Not great but not horrific. They stock what you would expect from a Family Dollar. Vastly improved from how it was a few years ago as far as being more organized than before, but their snack selection looks like it's been sitting there since the Obama administration. Decently stocked on most days I visit, but 3 stars is all I can muster for this location. Could be a lot cleaner as well.

The manager and the Workers smoke outside in front of the store which is disgusting for non-smokers who have to smell that while they’re walking in with their babies or kids. Long lines with one register open while other workers doing nothing. Today I went and they’re doing renovations to the store but They didn’t put no sign up on the front door so we know why they’re close and when they will open up again. The manager is extremely rude and definitely not a peoples person. He should try to smile and Learn great customers Service .The workers text while they ringing you up. The workers also curse while they’re working and talk to each other. This family dollar never answers the phone!

Hello, this store was and is as far as I know a good place to shop with great and friendly employees who were nice and eager to help with finding items. There was an announcement about shop lifting and someone who walked out the store shorty after that my shopping was completed. Want to give them the benefit like maybe they bought items that fit into their pockets. But still a good experience.

The store smells like mice. And you need to watch the food because the mice has been chewing on the bags and boxes. Not good at all!Customer service stinks need new staff soon. They don't want to help you always on the phone. Always talking about customers and cursing. The language they use f_ _ _ this is not how you talk to people. And people don't want to hear you or the other person on the phone talk to each other. If I had the say I would fire everyone!!!!!!! I DON'T EVEN WANT TO GIVE THEM A STAR NOT WORTH IT.

The Store is supposed to close at 10 PM I got there at 9:30 and they lock the doors before it should be close. This is bad for business!!!! I knock and the working nodded his head, and didn’t open the door. I googled the store and it said they close at 10 PM They are closing the business before they’re supposed to close this definitely needs to be addressed 01/01/2021

Every single review complains about the manager how horrible and Rudye he is but I think the management does not read the reviews. Hes a horrible person I think his name is ray but he is not supposed to have any job in customer service. And because of him every single person working in that place is so rude I cringe every time I walk into that store the only reason I go there is because it's a block away from my house but I hhateg oing in there

I love shopping at my local Family dollar. I just dont under the 2 workers that I see when I go. Never see these 2 worker actually do working. Once in a while him/ her would cash me and when they do the there rude and very unhappy to do so.

Wish I can give no stars. That manager (spanish guy) and cashier (smokey) are pathetic. Because of them I drive further down to another location. Stinkest attitude - lazy, grumpy, always babbling with each other, not making eye contact with customers, always on a smoke break and the place seems understocked and untidy.

I went there this morning thinking it would be open at 8 am but it wasn't. But the sign on the door said open at 8 am so the manager comes outside smoking a cigarette and I ask him what time they open he said in 20 minute and he went back inside well they need to change the sign to 8:30 am

Im a usual. It's extremely convenient and good prices on a plethora of products. Most of the employees change periodically so customer service changes with them depending on their dedication.
