If you decide to book this venue for any event especially a wedding make sure you have time to do the ground keeping yourself. Make sure their AC is working as it was not for our August wedding. There were technicians working on the roof unit during our wedding ceremony. They may ask you what drinks you want stocked at the bar but don’t be surprised if they don’t have it on the day of the event. I would love to give more feedback and photo evidence to the manager or owner but won’t be surprised if they are uninterested.

Basic campground very kid unfriendly. Has a nice pool and nice bathrooms/shower houses. Not overly friendly staff. There is nothing for kids to do here ie; playground, daily activities, anything fun does not go on here. So if you are an grumpy quiet camper this place is definitely for you!! My wife, kids, and I were lectured by "Mike" about all of the rules we must follow before we entered the pool on our 3rd day staying. After we had been in the pool numerous times the days before. There was no fire ring on our site and we were lectured about how unsafe this is by some woman as we were packing up to leave. That we should have notified the office and let them know. Sorry, your site should have been inspected by an employee before we ever arrived to make sure everything was in place. Won't be going back, especially with kids.

We have not camped or golfed here but we have stopped in for a few drinks and food at the bar. Our bar tender Julie was super friendly and engaging. Draft beer was cold and the environment was very comfortable. We shall return.:-)

We camp here every year for a week or 2 at a time. It's close to home so we can go to work from camp. Mostly have had no issues until this last time. First we were taking a walk from Lynch Rd to Paddleford Rd on the path that everyone uses and were stopped by a Ranger and was told we could not go that way. Second there was no internet the whole time we were here. We reported it twice. We will definitely come back just hope issues are addressed.

great place to camp and golf. the pool is awesome, campsites are spaced out just right with full hook-ups, the golf course is very playable. seasonal campers are very friendly and do a great job decorating their sites.try to make the special events at this campground they have a great time and know how to relax!

I know that when your camping here your not allowed to be on the golf it's in the rules I get it, but there's a trail that goes from paddelford road camp to the other and I see non golfing carts and people walking it all the time. Myself and family wanted to go for a walk and started on the trail and was stopped by the course ranger and was told we couldn't, but its ok for everyone else...so what what should hickory ridge to do with this situation? Either allow it or stop it.

I have been playing here for years, now twice a week. The course is well maintained, is very reasonably priced and presents a different challenge every time I step to the tee box. Abilities of all golfers are recognized here with four different tee colors; something for everyone. My golf partners and I enjoy this course every time we play here.

It's an ok place to stay if you are a golfer. Not much else to do. The pool is hit and miss.*Edited to reply*The pool has not always open between Memorial Day and labor Day. There have been years (outside of COVID when the pool has been closed just as many times if not more than it has been open. When that is the only other activity offered ............

We camped at Hickory Ridge for July 4. The pool is very nice. The fireworks were fantastic, which is why I’m not rating this lower. This campground has great potential.However, very poor communication to campers about events. Every other local campground we have attended gives us a paper with a map, wifi password and weekly events upon check in. Small investment = happy, informed campers. This should be a priority. We didn’t realize fireworks were July 3, not 4th. There was a BBQ dinner available to purchase on July 4... no mention from staff about it, so we decided to just eat our sad hotdogs instead. According to the website there are hiking trails? Who knows where they are.The fireworks were really wonderful.

I really wanted to give 2 stars but overall as I took in consideration of everything else I have our stay 3 stars.They had clean bathrooms and showers and the grounds where maintained and kept up.My reason for wanting to give a lower ratting is they place was not even that busy and our water pressure was low, and the electricity was barely at 110. Of more people would of been staying both the water and electricity would of been horrible.When they say they have internet that’s a lie! They have a router but no internet. They will tell you it’s been worked on and fixed soon, however after further talking to them this has been going on for months now!So Poor Water and Electricity and no internet earns them 2 stars, the cleanliness of the site and facilities bumped them up.At the end of the day there are far worse sites and these small things are not all that bad and they still worked!I would still recommend the place, just note that at this time they have no internet.They do have a laundry facility however they only have 2 washers and dryers for the whole camp ground. As for the restrooms there are only 2 toilets and showers as well so if there busy this could be a issue.

I haven't played this course in 15 years. Our work league played there. I quit playing it because it was in pretty rough shape. Friends needed a fourth and I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions. The course was mowed and kept up. Fairways and rough had a good grass base and the greens were fast and smooth. For us shorter drivers, the fairways are hard so we got some distance off the tee. Not real long but several tight driving holes, giving me lots of reason to leave my driver in the bag. We played on a Thursday and payed $25. I scrambled and shot 85. I'll play it again.

I grew up playing on this course, so I can say I have seen a steady decline in quality. The greens are in horrible shape and the price to golf is outrageous. Wouldn't mind paying it if the course was in better shape. It is also very upsetting when you have to wait to take your shot because you have campers just walking right across the course. Not playing golf just going on a stroll. Also very distracting when trying to take your shot and you have dogs barking at you from the campgrounds.They need to be an RV park or be a golf course, because they are not doing well as both.

The coubhouse is starting to look run down with a tarp covering the roof. The course was in ok shape but the golf carts are in terrible shape. We had 2 carts in our group of 8 die on the course. When we phoned the clubhouse for a replacement we were told no one was available to bring us a working cart.

The band ..Groove.. played here a few weeks ago and were very appreciative of managements wonderful hospitality. This is the most beautiful campground and RV recreation center. Looking forward to playing here again. Thank you!

My wife's parents keep their RV here over the spring and summer. We love the place but they need to finish the construction of the bathrooms, WiFi and cable installations at the new plot locations. When that is done it will be great!

This course is a shadow of its former self. Roughly 15 of the 18 greens were completely burned out, like putting on concrete. The course conditions did not justify the price. 30$ for 18 holes. Sad to see golf courses get neglected like this. Won't be going back.

My wife and I are full time here for many years now,and when we arrive at are site we feel like we are at are second home. The management treats us like family we have a huge site. Our fellow campers are now great friends and we always look forward to to see them. You will never ever find a cleaner washroom.

This is about the golf course only. The greens are miserable. There are large patches of dead grass on most greens. I won't play this course, or recommend it, until the greens are fixed. I'm sorry if maintenance in the COVID era is too expensive, but 40 to 50% of golf is played around the greens. This is a real shame.

My daughter was married here and have attended several banquets and camped at the RV resort. Very nice ambiance, good food, service is hustling and courteous. The price was reasonable for my daughter's wedding.

Nice campground and golf course complex located in a rural area. There is a snack shop at the golf course and Sam's Diner in Holley that are worth a visit. Holley is located along the Erie Canal so interesting history in the area.

Played June 2020....course was in terrible shape. Greens had cracks in them. It had been dry for some time but most other courses I played during this time we're in fine condition.

Wonderful place to camp. Golf cource is not well kept! there are weeds in the sand traps and the greens are partly brown or have dead spots in them.

Course is in terrible condition. The practice putting green isnt exactly green. Course is dry. Greens are yellow. Teeboxes are rock hard. Not the same course I remembered from a few years ago. Not worth the $30 to play on this course.

Liked the course, but the greens were very, very poor. Diseased, bumpy, poorly mowed. But worst part was paying $6 for a hot dog at the turn!

Had fun, staff was very friendly, liked the design of the course. Unfortunately, at least as of July 2020, all the greens are in very poor condition.
