We’ve boarded our dog here for the past 5 years. After moving home from NYC I wanted a place that offered her playtime with other dogs rather having to stay in her crate/run with only getting out to walk. I also have a very affectionate and loving pit bull, so wanted staff who truly understand dogs and the breed. Staff always remember my dog’s name when she walks in, even after she hasn’t visited for a while. I trust that my dog is in good hands here when we’re away!

On Monday August 24th 2020 at 8am I received a call from Dog Holiday, while on vacation in New Jersey, saying that our dog had jumped the fence at the kennel and gotten out. My heart sank. My fiancée and I quickly packed our things and began the 7 hour ride back to Holley to start searching for her. This entire ordeal was a nightmare and I want to make everyone is aware of how this situation was handled and the risks posed by having your dog boarded at Dog Holiday.1. This is not the first time a dog has jumped their fence. The owner stated it has happened at least 6 times before. To me once is too many.2. Dog holiday did not have a plan in place for a lost dog. When we finally arrived in Holley at 3:30 that afternoon no one from their staff was out looking for her. I was informed that they had 1 staff member driving around looking for her earlier in the day. 1 staff member looking for a dog that they’ve lost is dangerously inadequate.3. The staff was extremely unapologetic. When we arrived at the kennel after a 7 hour drive I anticipated being met with “I’m so sorry... this is what we’re doing...this is who we’ve called.” Instead we were met with indifference and no plan.4. While inside Dog Holiday the conditions observed were deplorable. Mice and mice droppings were in plain sight. There were holes in the walls and strong odors of urine.Thankfully, through social media and the kindness of strangers, we got our dog back 13 hours after she had originally gone missing. No thanks to Dog Holiday.Please be aware that this place has had dogs get out before and have not modified or changed their fences to reflect that fact. They did not have a plan in place to get her back and there was no sense of urgency from them to help us.If you love your dog please board them some place else. It is only a matter of time before this happens to another family. I cannot in good faith let someone take their pet there without fully understanding the risks involved.

I commend all the staff at Holiday. I've been a lab owner for 40 years, and I can assure you that your dog will receive excellent care. AC in pens during summer; shaded exercise areas with kiddie soaking pools; water available at all times; dogs grouped by sociability; treats available upon request; daycare services and a host of other grooming services as detailed on their FB page. Arrange a tour for yourself. I highly recommend them. My red lab Ted spends every vacation there because both he and I know he gets the best of care.

The staff is so pleasant and helpful...our plane was late getting back so we had to extend a day and they were very accommodating! I love that the doggy day care is available during the day so that our energetic boy was able to play with other dogs while we were away. We will definitely be coming back!

They are great and accommodating in the event something changes. Have used them 3 times in the last year and another one planned. Last trip one of my dogs got some stomach issues and they were kind enough to boil up some rice and add it to his food. Great place and I will continue to use them

What a great find! Nice place, caring staff. And lots of personal / friendly service. With daycare, personal walks, frozen peanut butter treats and nail clipping services... I have been a client of this kennel since it opened. I have peace of mind whenever I leave my Weimeraner who is a bottomless pit of endless need- Ziggy LOVES being with all the other dogs as I use the cage-free care. I always have him groomed before pick-up and he leaves one clean, happy, tired-out dog!I have nothing but positive feedback to offer towards the facility and staff. I want to know my "family member" is well taken care of, and I'm willing to pay for that service.

Been bringing all of my dogs to DHR for years. Fair price great care for my pack and the icing on the cake is they have been helping rescue dogs for years as well. I am a volunteer rescue transporter that's how I came to find and use them ! Thank you for all you do DHR !

Chief likes going to the Kennel, although he does not like to be separated from me. He gingerly walks in each time we come. I love the ladies who run the facility and will recommend the Kennel to any dog who needs care when his owner is away.

We left our dog here for the 1st time 9/24-9/27 2018. Zeus seemed fine when picked up. All his things were returned as we left them. He has still been a little tired..and his appetite has been good. Zeus goes off his feed when depressed...no signs of that! So I'm glad we have a kennel to take him to...there are always emergencies where friends/family cannot watch him.

I have a 10 year old dog who likes people more than other dogs. She stayed 5 days and nights and had a walk each day (extra) and every penny was worth it! She was happy and so was I!

We never kennel. Always take our dogs with us. But few years ago we went on a vacation where alas we couldn't take the pups. Dog holiday was perfect. Well cared for, knowledge stay. Off the beaten path so no traffic.

We live in greece, and its a bit of a drive but its worth it. Reasonably priced and the first time I dropped my dogs off they made me feel good ( I cried ) about it, they were so kind.
