I never pictured writing a review about a fish farm, but here I am... We have a pond that needed some Grass Carp. We were approved for a DEC permit and looked into the locations from which we could purchase. Whispering Pines came up as an option and the strong reviews made it the choice for me.The farm is located in Holland, New York. They are located in the general proximity of the speedway. The address takes you to a reddish house with an attached office off the the left. I was redirected to the next drive up the street where I was told someone would meet me. I took the winding road back to where there is a large building (pole barn) and a turn around.. I "turned around" facing the direction I just came from and within 30 seconds Steve rolled up in a golf cart.Steve (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I am a novice and soon came to find out that there is a lot of to ponds / fish. We completed the paperwork and I went home with some fish (brought a big cooler) and homework for the next time we need fish. The fish provided were active and hopefully they do the trick. Steve also provides fish to many of the other places on the DEC paperwork, so why not buy from the source! They have different size Koi, giant snails, trout, bass, perch, cat fish, crayfish, minnows, plants and fish food too.

We have dealt with Whispering Pines roughly 10 years ago and were happy with our fish and water lilies. We decided after the fiasco we went through with getting fish through our county, we decided that we would be better off going back to Whispering Pines. The owners are personable, extremely knowledgeable and definitely cheaper. We enjoyed a nice ride in the countryside together and my husband is now putting the fish in our pond (all survived the ride home)Thanks Whispering Pines 🌲☺🛶🎣

We've been getting the fish for our pond from Steve for the past 5 years, a family business since 1988. He provides personalized service, and the fish are healthy. We stocked our 1/2 acre pond with bass, perch and grass carp. He also provides crayfish and minnowforas feeder fish as well as fish food.

This is a great family run business that I am so happy to have found. Steve is friendly and really knows his stuff when it comes to ponds. He takes his time and answers questions. He is friendly and kind. Their prices are really reasonable, too. It's my first time needing and using a fish farm and I am glad I found them!

Very knowledgeable. Helped me through the whole process in obtaining carp for the pond. There are many little steps and permits with the DEC so it was great to have Whispering Pines Fish Farm there to walk me through each step.

This is the place to go for anything fish or pond related. Steve is a wealth of information and has never steered us wrong. We have now successfully stocked our pond with grass carp, koi, blue gills, cat fish, and bass. Snails are coming.....
