I will start off by saying the lakefront view is beautiful. That’s about where the positives of our stay with Plum Point Lodge stopped. We checked in to the hotel Friday at 4pm, had the suite in the main building, and went up to our room. The room was clean for the most part, bed was comfortable enough. From our room you could hear the cleaning staffs music blaring, not a big deal as it’s 4pm in the afternoon. What was a bigger deal was that they would again blare music from 9:00pm to 10:00pm that was clearly audible in our room. As well as every door that got slammed from people coming and going. Our television remote didn’t work and the TV kept resetting the volume to 30 and displaying audio pop ups randomly. They had a dinner event the following night and you could hear all the comings and going. Finally waking up Sunday morning to get breakfast we were told the cook didn’t show up… All in all I was only going to give a 3 star review until cook didn’t show up so we couldn’t even get breakfast on Sunday. The suite definitely wasn’t worth what we payed for it and will be taking future business to a different location.

We stayed a couple nights in one of the yurts and had a great time. The entire estate was very clean and beautifully designed. A couple of us had yurts and they were clean and had comfortable beds, updated bathrooms, refrigerator and TV. Great location close to wineries, Watkins Glen, and walkable waterfront restaurant/bar. We can't wait to go back.

My husband booked this hotel for our anniversary and the photos are deceiving and so are the reviews because there should be a separation between restaurant service and hotel. It was a Lack luster experience. If this is my review after an update than I can’t imagine what it was like prior to the renovation. Things that we were upset with are the air conditioning and heating unit made a noise , mattress quality was sagging and way to soft that if 2 people slept on it, it caved in, no closets, no coffee maker, no tables, garbage pails were extremely small, no microwave, very cramped between the bathroom door ; the bathroom was the largest room and least cramped but lacking enough towels and had a half roll of toilet paper and no refills and finally the walls were paper thin and you can hear everything outside your door. If having a closeness to the mid lake is of importance to you then this is a good option. Otherwise I found it an understaffed property and a bit disappointing for our anniversary weekend.

We had 17 people booked for two nights. Even with booking in January, one of the couples got switched out of their requested room 1 in the North Cottage. NOT RIGHT. You pay for a room you have liked for 2 years in a row and get moved out for a couple with a dog.We asked for a picnic table to be moved closer to the fire area so we could keep our drinks and snacks on it. Promises, promises, it never happened. Then Amy was downright rude to one of our group. She spoke to her like she was a child when the door was sticky and she couldn't get it open.We have brought 17-22 people here for 2 nights for the past three years. Plum Point needs to step up their game. We want to make it 4 next year but we are talking about other options.

Plum point lodge is one of my favorite vacation spots. We stumbled across this place when we were looking for a more outdoorsy vacation during Covid (summer 2020). We stayed in a yurt and loved it. The food was amazing. This year, we came back and brought our two best friends. We each rented yurts. We had an amazing time at nearby wineries. The restaurant, Sapalta, is absolutely amazing. Seriously it’s some of the best food we have ever eaten. Our server, Maddy, waited on us all three nights we stayed and she was amazing. The manager Alex was amazing as well. The hospitality at this place is unmatched. We felt so taken care of. We will definitely be back!!!

The view from our 2nd floor room was spectacular! Thanks to the wonderful staff and crew for a relaxing & peaceful stay. Location is within 15-20 minutes of Geneva (Water Street Cafe-must stop for lunch or breakfast) Penn Yan - Windmill market, Spotted Duck Ice cream, Watkins Glen-Jerlandos Italian Restaurant, and of course, first stop Sapalta at Plum Point Lodge. Truly excellent experience and we will return!

If you like a clean stay with a respectful staff, don’t choose this place! For my sister’s bachelorette, we stayed in the “suite” and it was dirty, fans were covered with dust and I woke up sick and congested, the toilet seat was broken and slid back and forth, we had to wipe down everything in the room. It was a fight to get fresh towels and wash cloths which shouldn’t be an issue. We woke up excited for a good breakfast and at 9am, strolled downstairs to four food containers for a buffet pretty much empty. After requesting the food to be filled back up, we waited 20 minutes for fresh food and wish we didn’t. The eggs were wet and runny, sausage was disgusting and I left hungrier than when I came. $20 down the toilet for cold, gross food. The food place and the hotel are in the same building but hotel people don’t know what the kitchen’s doing and kitchen people have no idea what the hotel is doing. We couldn’t get straight answers for any questions and went back and forth to different front desk people multiple times to leave with no answers. Overall, this place has a beautiful location, but if you want somewhere clean and a front desk staff that cares about your stay, this is the wrong place.

It was our anniversary and my husband wanted to surprise me, and I was it’s a great location, the food was good. The room was soooo dirty! It’s a-shame for the price. I couldn’t find the remote and I got no assistance. The next day I pulled the dresser away from the wall and there was the remote along with dust cob webs and hair and wrappers that miss the garbage can. Same seen under the bed. All hard wood floors nothing a swifter couldn’t handle if used. Other than the bed it was disgusting. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want my hubby to feel bad. No I will not be staying there again!!

My husband and I just stayed in one of the yurts for our 10 year anniversary. The yurt itself was nice. The linens were clean, the bed comfortable. It was nice having a fridge, but a microwave would have also been nice. It was so peaceful to hear the rain on the tent roof while falling asleep. The yurts are fairly close together, but all of the guests were very polite, and even the conversation at the yurt fire ring (which was right outside our yurt) was not a bother. The view of the lake is beautiful and peaceful. The location is perfect.y only suggestion would be that it would be nice to offer those staying on location some sort of discount at the restaurant. The restaurant is open to the public, and it would be nice for those staying on the property to be given some sort of incentive. We will certainly be back to see you again!

We had an amazing stay here. The staff was beyond nice. Jason, the owner, was about to get up from his meal to help with the refrigerator. We told him it was not an emergency and had sit back down to finish his dinner. They were helpful in recommendations for near by activities, wineries and breweries. It was impressive how much the restaurant staff all got along. Especially it being the end of the season. The bonfire in the evening and looking up at the stars on the pier will be memories we cherish forever. Dog friendly. Excited to visit again.

The location is beautiful and serene. Close to great wineries, breweries and distilleries. Fall colors were amazing.Unfortunately we had negative experiences we hope will never plague other guests. Management is working to improve upon those concerns.Sapalta restaurant staff provided exceptional services and the meal was outstanding.

Stayed in a yurt for one night, which was fun and novel. There's even a pull-out couch for kids if needed. The not so great: checking under the bed to make sure no items were being left we saw that it was filthy. Lost earplugs, dust, etc. Gross! Clean under the bed, yall. Also had dinner at the restaurant which was decent but obscenely overpriced. We were regaled with the chef's pastry credentials and dessert was by far the weakest course. Panna cotta was like thick, dry jello, lol. Wth? I don't know, it was cute but overall can't give it more than 3 stars.

This place was just okay. The room wasn't very clean and had a funny smell and when I went to take a shower there was no shampoo or body wash. No one took the time to refill the containers in the shower. It seemed like no one was really cleaning this place. We ended up with a room that didn't have access to the front porch (the only room like that) which seemed like an after thought. There was one staff member who was not very attentive. I waited to ask her a question while she completely ignored me but kept up a pointless conversation with her co-worker.The restaurant and the grounds are very pretty and I would recommend dining there. Our server was wonderful and the view of the lake is gorgeous. I would say, stay somewhere else but go for dinner.

My husband and I stayed at Plum Point Lodge in July 2022. Due to some schedule changes, we had to cancel one reservation and also change another day. The customer service desk was extremely helpful and worked easily with me to refund the money and change the other reservation. I really appreciated how they were able to accommodate our changing plans. Also, our stay at the Lodge was lovely. We enjoyed being able to sit on the dock by the water, and also on the rocking chairs overlooking the lake. Plum Point Lodge is a lovely setting, and we enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend!

Gorgeous setting! Nice dock and fire pit. Rooms have been mostly updated. Still, room upon check in was not very clean- hair and dirt on bathroom floor, shower had moldy caulking, and refrigerator had food left in it. Stairwell was worn and not clean. No housekeeping due to covid, which was only in their policies, and not otherwise communicated; yet, sign in bathroom states to place towels on the floor if you want fresh towels... How does that work if no one is coming in to check that. Overall, and considering the price, a C+

No closet or area to hang up clothes, no table or desk. Staff is not clear about procedures and rules. Consistently got different info or answers from a variety of staff. Barely any welcome on check-in and no info provided on dining, amenities (not many), how to use keypad, etc. No Housekeeping to empty wastebasket and pick up used towels even when sign was placed to indicate we wanted that service.

The room was very well decorated and it's located on a nice quite area on the lake, however for our room we were told it had a view of the lake, it did not, it was a motel room with cars parking any cars parking in front of our window and door. The windows are painted shut and do not open. The exterior had to be cleaned up by the office attendant, the floors were dirty and on a noticable slant. The walls had numerous cobwebs and spiders with thick dust on wall hardware. The coffee was good but the breakfast pastries require an additional fee.

Everything about Plum Point Lodge was warm and inviting. They kept in touch with frequent emails so we knew what to expect when we arrived. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not extravagant but adequate. Could have used a coffee set up in the room because I rise very very early. The restaurant Sapalta was expensive but didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious and did not regret spending. Would definitely go back again.

Wedding planners beware! We visited Plum Point to check out the venue to have our wedding at. Immediately knew we wanted it to be here. Had everything we wanted... Lakeside, great view, great restaurant, perfect size event center and our guests could stay on site and enjoy our wedding and just all be together. After some communication we finally got the contract and we signed it and returned it. That was the last we heard from this place in 2 months. Had multiple requests to verify we had the date reserved as we never got a signed contract from them in return after we signed and sent our payment info. Well after months went by without hearing anything from our multiple calls, emails, texts, Facebook requests, we were beginning to lose hope as we only heard from the event manager once that yes our date was booked. Still no signed contract and still no deposit taken. Finally after our worries were peaking we were reached out to by a Plum Point representative. Our dreams apparently of having our wedding and all our guests stay at the venue were over. The block of rooms we were promised were never reserved and so the location booked out our event date without us and no one would be staying. Felt like no one really even knew we were going to be there. It surprises me even more that we were having a wedding and they couldn't do our rehearsal dinner on site because they booked another wedding to have the rehearsal dinner for. Just actually wonder if anyone is manning the store here because the voice-mail was always full, no response from the event manager at all and no response from numerous contact attempts. Just came to realize that we would be trying to force an event that was no longer going to be perfect for us and we had absolutely no trust in this location to pull it off.

This is our second stay in 6 months here at the lodge. We stayed 3 nights in a yurt because we love the experience, the size , the amenities, and we bring our dog so it’s the best choice , the fact that the location of Plum Point is on Seneca lake is one reason we came back, we also ate at Sapalta this time, the food was delicious and our server said it was 90% farm to table, and locally sourced, and we loved that! To have a view of the lake and a bottle of local wine was so relaxing, we meet really nice people here and the staff do their best to ensure you have everything you need, that being said we are thinking of coming back again in the Spring before the hot weather to enjoy this experience again!, Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I are already planning to come back in the fall. The Plum Point Lodge is absolutely charming and the fawn and firefly sightings only made it more so.We stayed in one of the yurts. It was fairly cool and and very comfy, (mind you it was 95° when we stayed). The yurt was spacious and cozy and the pictures here do not do it justice. The view of the water is great, and each morning we enjoyed our morning coffee on the water and it was a quick and easy drive to Watkins Glen State Park for a hike. Having access to the pool was a huge plus, considering the heat. The on-site restaurant was perfection, our dinner was delightful and our waitress was wonderful. We will happily come back again and will definitely refer our friends who are looking to get away for the weekend.

Beautiful view and a nice looking place on the outside. Some issues Full size bed had a twin size blanket on it. Pillows were very thin and gave no support. Need additional electric outlets in room. No microwave in room and complimentary coffee was only warm and not out at 7 AM as stated. For the price I expected more.

My husband and I were there to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. I was overwhelmed with all the choices on the internet for places to stay. I really just wanted a place right on a lake and this didn’t disappoint! The rooms were newly renovated, the staff was great, the view is spectacular from my window, the rockers outside our room or the deck! Amazing. Might try the Yurt next time. I would highly recommend.

My 7y/o daughter and I came for a short “staycation”. We had a great time! She loved swimming in the pool. The gorgeous views of the lake and all the outdoor seating areas are fantastic. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious, 5-star-resort-type delicious. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and attentive—and actually seemed to enjoy their jobs (to me, that’s a sign of good hiring, training, and management). We definitely plan to return in the future.
