I bought ant traps there. Put them under my arm to do the credit card thing. Looked in bagging area and asked where my stuff was... embarrassing. She patiently said you picked it up then I realized under my arm. Was so embarrassed said if I get anymore demented they won't let me out. Learned later from cousins that locals don't use that store. The rude rich people from the city do. Those people have to deal with rude entitled people full time. They are saints.

The people were wonderful, but it's far too crowded and claustrophobic. The aisles barley have enough room for one person moving one way, and the produce department is insane. The meat and produce selections looked excellent and most prices were fairly reasonable overall, but we are very unlikely to be back (at least to do a full shop) because of the crowding.

I vacation in the area every year. A stop at Hillsdale IGA is a must. Shopping there is always a pleasant experience.

First visitNot the largest supermarket ever, but a very appropriate size for the town. Extremely well stocked with a great selection.Organic foods, seafood, produce & craft beers.If you haven't stopped by, now is the time.

This is my main go to place to get groceries. Most of their inventory is local and they have amazing sales that pop up like crazy. Definitely recommend if you want local produce.Bryce@ North East Ford

A nice small town grocery store. Well stocked and nicely displayed. The deli always has good specials for lunch and the bakery and meat selection are delicious too.

Went to this store when I visited my brother in NY. Produce was great, lunch meat ...deli was marvelous and the fresh fish was really fresh. They assisted me with how to cook the scallops (real big ones) and cat fish. They had all kinds of breads and baked goods. Wish we had a store like this. Only thing....NY prices were a shock to me.

For a small grocery store the selection is terrific. There are many products I haven't found in our large chain nearby. Very clean and well stocked with staff always around to help.

Almost missed this little store! Cashiers are friendly and everything is well stocked. Selection is a bit limited when it comes to some items, and it's a tad more expensive than other places, but you can't go wrong as far as convenience goes.

They don't keep track of their stock and rotate good. I once bought a container of ricotta cheese and it was 8 months past it's spoil date. The store is cramped and set up awkwardly, some aisles just don't make sense the way they are setup. The prices are gouge worthy, and the parking lot is a nightmare to get in or out of.

It's been interesting over two decades to watch the transformation of this village market into a super supermarket. Among the many changes has been an accommodation to the growing number of urban weekenders, most from NYC, with demanding tastes. Impressive adaptation--now a market to suit country and city dweller alike.

Usually a nice fair priced store. It's been unusually high prices since this quarantine a 4 pack of chicken leg quarters over $15.00. Recently saw a facebook post, I tried to share the picture $15.00 for one can of lysol spray. Very disappointing

I like IGA. Always will have mostly all I need to make a great dinner. If they don't have something....then ask & it is usually stocked in about a week. Service people very nice & friendly & very convenient for me.

Even though the sign clearly States at the deli counter "no mask no service" there were several of us in line witnessing someone without a mask on getting service anyways! As a person who is taking care of somebody currently going through chemotherapy I find this a little disheartening.When I spoke to the manager about it on the telephone I was told that I should have done something about it by getting the manager myself. This is not my responsibility anymore than it is to pull somebody over for speeding. Personally I think if the store policy is no mask no service that the store employee he should have refuse them service. But of course this is just my opinion.🤷‍♂️

Not a glamorous store, but small country store. Friendly, and on the weekends the visitors frequent. Great produce, cheese, meats, beverages, breads, snacks.......nice choices and great prices. Watch for the truckload sale. Score!

Way overpriced for the area, they're really taking advantage of the fact that there is no competition nearby, $7+ for a pint of ice cream? $4+ for a chocolate bar? Give me a break. The store also has a terrible odor, it's dirty, and it's not uncommon to find expired food on the shelves. Skip IGA in Hillsdale, go to one of the three large grocery stores in Great Barrington instead.

decent products but I paid almost DOUBLE what I would have for the same things at Hannaford. Sad that the prices are not affordable, but when you are the only game in town, charge 'em if you can!

Great spot if your camping at Waubeeka Family Campground in Copake. Has all the essentials. Good variety of beer. Local veggies.

Small independent supermarket with excellent meat and produce. Items on sale are a good value. Otherwise prices are high.
