Nora's day care was a great fit for my anxious doberman. Nora does a great job matching and introducing new dogs. My girl appreciated her own safe space (yes, a crate) during breaks. With Nora's help and my dedication, my girl got her Canine Good Citizen certificate!I also don't let my dog do her business anywhere, just because they are 'outside'. Who lets their dog go into someone else's yard to pee on their plants, trees, lawn furniture, etc??

I had thought Nora and Emma were running a high quality daycare for my dog. However, her obedience style wasn't right for my puppy. He is a high energy working mutt and Nora seems to be better suited / patient with pure breds or goldens. While I think she had the best intentions, she really did not understand basic training for my dog and I've found great success at other local trainers. Thankful my dog is a good boy but disappointed that Nora's feedback and style made me feel otherwise. Dog training is hard and I wish Nora was able to provide more constructive feedback on my dog's nature vs. making me feel like I adopted a "bad dog"

Nora had two of my goldens boarding for about a week last summer. They clearly had a good time, had plenty of outside time and were kept very comfortable despite some pretty hot days. I'd bring my pups to Nora again in a heartbeat as I trust her to take good care of them by keeping them safe and by keeping their minds engaged.

Nora knows dogs. She is a breeder of beautiful retrievers and will put her wealth of knowledge to work in caring for your pet. She quickly sizes up each boarder's temperament and bases the dog's routine during its stay on her assessment We board our older, eccentric miniature poodle with her --he does not always do well with boarding, He was a little balky initially; Nora was attentive to his particular quirks and communicative with us until he settled in. Your pet will be in a safe, clean, thoughtfully organized environment during his/her stay. I recommend this business without hesitation.

Nora and her dogs run a great daycare and kennel! I have been bringing my dog Luna to daycare with Nora for three years. Luna (and I) couldn't be happier! The well-being and safety of all of the dogs is Nora's number one priority, and she is one of the few people I trust to take care of Luna. In addition, Nora has been very accommodating with my busy schedule and is a pleasure to work with. Happy customer : )

I spoke with Nora about her "training methods" for loose-leash walking and mouthing. To me, it was evident that she knows nothing about animal behavior and how to discourage unwanted behavior. She's a big fan of electronic devices and prong collars. There are better ways to deal with leash issues, believe me. Furthermore, her own goldens, while extremely sweet, due to the breed, are poorly trained themselves and frequently attempt to grab food out their owner's hands. This is typical of an untrained golden retriever, who is basically an eating machine if left to his own devices.Nora's calling herself a dog trainer is false advertising at its finest! Stay away from this very odd woman.

I have brought my dog to Nora for training, day care and overnight boarding for more than four years. She has a sound, common - sense approach to training that helped me help my very anxious dog move past his fears to enjoy life. I am always comfortable leaving him for a day or a week, knowing that he will be safe and well cared for with Nora.

I only had my dog at Nora’s for a few hours of daycare while my family skied nearby, and it was our first time. I guess what I didn’t realize from the web site was that my dog was going to be crated for the majority of the day. My dog is only one year old and would have been better off at a day care facilty where she would get to run around and interact with other dogs during the day. For an older dog that prefers to sleep, this would be fine, but for a puppy with a lot of energy, this was not what I had hoped.

I have known the owner, Nora Hayes, for many years! She not only boards dogs, but also offers day care for our 4 legged loved ones! She has 20+ years in the canine business- training, breeding and boarding and I trust her implicitly to take care of my 2 pups. Her knowledge goes well beyond canine care! If you are in need of care for your pups, please call Nora and book the reservation!

I brought my small dog to Norah as he was being somewhat reactive and barked a lot. Her 1st suggestion was that I get him an electronic bark collar. At that point I should have walked out, but I stayed. During the course of our conversation, she was negative about my dogs behavior and said he was "a little weirdo" and did no real training. She is a nightmare!! Luckily, I found a different trainer with an amazing approach and our dog is doing great and loves socializing with all dogs!

Yikes. I may have caught the proprietress on an off day, but this is exactly what happened. I contacted her via phone & we set a date for her to meet my two dogs and make sure they were suitable for boarding at Hayes Happy Dog. We arrived at the scheduled hour and rang the bell. She eventually emerged and suggested that we sit at two plastic chairs while she conducted the interview. I had both my dogs on leashes at the time, and as we made our way to the chairs, she said, "Your dogs can't pee in my yard; this is my home." Somewhat confused, I explained that because we'd just driven 45 minutes for the interview and my dogs could doubtlessly smell the considerable canine traffic in & around her property, this might be a tall order. "If you don't have that kind of control over your dogs, I'm afraid they can't stay here," she barked. I replied that while they never, ever have accidents inside, we do grant them considerable latitude when outdoors. The proprietress found this entirely unacceptable, and the interview was over. Subsequently, after consulting w/ several pet care professionals, I've had it confirmed that her request/expectation was, in fact, as outlandish as it seemed at first blush. If you're already a customer, congrats on getting a paw in the door. If not, save yourself the time & frustration attendant with the process described above.

Nora was vey helpful as we had just adopted our first dog. We sent our dog to day care twice a week with her and saw a huge improvement with him.
